  • So this is what it's like staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for my son's second birthday.

  • So here we are staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Wolfie and Michael are just behind me.

  • We are about to go to Disneyland right now and kind of show you the whole experience here in Tokyo.

  • But again, before you start, if you guys want to see what I'm doing on daily, check out my instagram account, you guys wanna help out the channel?

  • Check out the Japan March.

  • And if you have any questions about Japan and Japan travel, check out the discord community.

  • All right.

  • That said, let's start at the beginning.

  • Good.

  • So, we're back from his second birthday last year.

  • We went to Disney C and said Park Front at Mira Costa and people wanted to know how much it all costs.

  • So this time around, we're providing a full cost breakdown as we also share our experiences celebrating a special day.

  • I'll just answer the start.

  • Was it worth it?

  • Well for us.

  • Anything for our son.

  • So, yes, But after you see the prices in this video, let me know what you think.

  • So, we also got the free, all you can ride past for the Disney resort line included in our hotel package.

  • Yeah, we're starting off free, but it's going to go quickly up from here.

  • Oh yeah, okay.

  • So we are back finally here is will be second birthday.

  • We were here last year, as some of you guys already know and it was kind of still in the middle of Covid.

  • So it was really, really quiet, but we're seeing now that there's a little bit more people, but maybe it's still a little bit quiet.

  • So we'll see, kind of excited to see what this whole experience and kind of show you guys what it's like.

  • Here we go.

  • We're staying at the official Disneyland Hotel for two nights.

  • The only official hotel that's walking distance to the park, this costs 123,000 yen.

  • About $825 for all three of us.

  • Happy birthday little boy!

  • I warned you that it would quickly go up.

  • But again, it's Willie's birthday.

  • So he decided to go for it morning Blue Train.

  • So one thing about this day, when we were checking in, we found out that tonight they're going to have a maintenance period meaning that they're going to shut down all the electricity between one and five in the morning.

  • Kind of a little bit worried it might get hot, but it is a little bit windy outside.

  • Maybe just open the windows.

  • But I wish they would have told us about this or like notified us when you were booking the tickets.

  • But I guess if they were to do that, then people wouldn't book staying here.

  • If that was the case, you could have bought a generator yourself because many of you probably wouldn't bring a generator.

  • What do you have?

  • The hotel stop is super kid friendly, helpfully offering to put together our beds and offering other kid amenities.

  • Call it free or included.

  • Either way we appreciate the Disney spirit.

  • Oh, and the best part of staying at this hotel is to be able to see the fireworks from your room.

  • You want the water?

  • What's the water?

  • Happy birthday.

  • What's up?

  • Let it go.

  • Since our room package doesn't come with breakfast.

  • We decided to go the more affordable route and bought some only giddy and other snacks at the convenient the night before.

  • Plus it saves Simon trying to get a two year old ready for the park day ahead.

  • Good morning everyone.

  • We are getting ready to go to Disneyland.

  • I think the park now opens at nine o'clock and it looks like people are already starting to line up from just like looking out the win, But we probably won't get out there until maybe 10.

  • I'm assuming just have some breakfast, get changed and go, we're not really in a rush.

  • I personally didn't sleep the best you can see, I'm like still pretty tired.

  • The AC wasn't on last night.

  • It was really humid in the room, so I was just like, I couldn't really sleep at all.

  • I just had some coffee.

  • Hopefully that'll wake me up.

  • You want to give me something.

  • Thank you.

  • You ready to see mickey Wolfie a what's up with the chicken, Chicken, a rubber chicken.

  • I've seen, what's up with using it like a comedy show, quite sure.

  • Happy birthday.

  • you wanna do the hot dog dance, that's not bad.

  • Open it, Happy birthday from mickey.

  • So it's about 8:46 right now we are finally ready.

  • He's just running around so he has so much energy ready to go see Maggie.

  • Okay, finally our Disneyland adventure starts fortunately in Japan kids under four years old are free so we only had to pay for to park tickets.

  • I feel like we're saving money already.

  • Look at him go, I think he's feeling it.

  • Oh, I get so happy as a dad to see him excited like this pretty much for the first hour.

  • All he did was run through the park and dancing music here and there, we didn't stop him.

  • Wolfie is loving this place, he's just running around to and fro, He's been running around the castle back and forth is having so much fun, you know, in Tokyo, there's not a lot of room for him to run around sometimes so the fact that he can run around here is pretty dope.

  • Please be careful when getting on an auto and for his first ride, he chose the merry go round castle carousel, He enjoyed it so much that we went back two more times.

  • So we are, you know, here halfway through the day, I think the crowds have picked up, especially since last year, but to be fair, it's still not like as it was before we are here on a Tuesday, which you know, it's not like the busiest time but there are lines here.

  • So it is nice though, it's not like super, super crowded.

  • What do you think?

  • He's in a good mood, He's happy, everything going to schedule in terms of defeating, he's happy you wanna try all that you like it will be, I'm off to find, looks like Wolfy lost his hat.

  • Um shoot, I gotta go for it.

  • I wonder if it'll turn up, I'm just gonna go look around for just a little bit.

  • I don't know if we'll find it though, Michael check to the store and I found it at the philharmonic.

  • Thank you dude, thank you Wolfie personally, we like having at least one nice restaurant meal when we go to Disneyland, so for lunch we decided to go to Crystal Palace and Wolfy is all free here too.

  • So it has a nice selection which is perfect for kids because you know will be there to pick and choose what he wants.

  • Obviously he went with the strawberries and pineapples.

  • The reason why we went to here though is because we did get priority seating because we are sitting at the hotel.

  • It's nice because there is a selection for not only us adults but for, will be as a kid, he is having a blast having so many strawberries so before we continue on, I want to tell you about the awesome people at who also sponsored this video, I know that many of you have already signed up which is awesome before those of you who don't know, they provide a gourmet experience of japanese snacks and tea pairing delivered to your front door.

  • They work with traditional japanese factories, some over 100 years old to provide you with authentic japanese flavors.

  • My favorite this month is the mochi mikan orange, which you can try for yourself.

  • You get this nice booklet that takes you through each snack as well as extra information about japan which helps you to get to know more about japanese culture.

  • So get $15 off your own authentic japanese snack box subscription from books by using my code paolo 15 and link in the description, are you taking my nap.

  • Ah you know what's surprising is that he is doing quite well in the lines, like I expected him to be all over the place but he's been doing pretty good waiting in line.

  • You ready?

  • Okay, there we go, we got his hat back, that was pretty awesome.

  • I wonder how many items lose in one day and actually get returned feels good, feels good.

  • So if you're with your kids, you're gonna want to visit Toontown will be definitely loves this area and we could probably spend all day here from the playground area to Goofy's paintball and the various character house is such a great experience for kids moving down.

  • We have just made it to the beauty and beast area and it looks like the wait is probably the most you'll find at the park at the moment.

  • This one is 16 minutes long.

  • But you know, it's not surprising because it is one of the newest rides, but in general, I haven't seen anything go over 60 minutes.

  • So yeah, I mean it's not so busy.

  • It's not so busy here.

  • I think not just for Wolfie, but for Michael and I as well, we all had a blast.

  • We're always so busy with creating videos, editing, uploading than doing it again that when we do get a chance to spend some family time together like this, whatever it costs, it's all worth it.

  • And as a birthday celebration so far, you can't beat it, but we're not done yet.

  • It's awesome.

  • So the plan was to go to dinner tonight.

  • Michael made some reservations at the Japanese restaurant had the priority pass so we can just like get in when he wanted to, but it looks like Wolfie is just kind of falling asleep.

  • There's actually his second time ever falling asleep in his stroller.

  • So I think we're just gonna have to call it a day with this one and just let him sleep.

  • You know how I like walking around like different cities, but I think in land less different feelings.

  • I think I like walking around in the sea.

  • But the thing with this place is that there's so much more kid friendly stuff to do because if I had to recommend a place to go for families, definitely Disneyland is better than Disney See one thing that I don't really know, like what happened is like one of the advantages of disneysea before was that you can actually drink, but now you can drink in Disneyland.

  • I don't know, I don't even know when that changed.

  • I had just lost so big.

  • Here we go, ordering some room service for us.

  • You know, we'll be sleeping over there, we're over here, we can't really go out.

  • So the best side of our trip, the memo is she girl Wolf, you woke up a little after dinner time.

  • So we ordered kids who don't for him.

  • The Disney's official hotel room dining is rather expensive when all things considered as you can even go to the nearby restaurants and experience for a better value.

  • But this was simply more convenient and when you have kids, sometimes conveniences, all you want.

  • Yeah choo choo choo choo, Good morning everyone, we kind of had a busy fun filled day yesterday and we kind of called early, we had some food, we got some room service and just kind of chilled and then went to sleep early.

  • Today is Wolfie is actual birthday, you know, last year we got Wolfie like this cake.

  • We got like this plastic sheets that we put on the floor and then he had this cake where he was able to like kind of dig into this year.

  • We're just gonna try to keep it a little bit more simple.

  • So we weren't going to do a birthday cake, but Michael and I decided, you know, maybe we can just do a little bit of something this morning.

  • So we decided to do it budget and as you know, convenient as possible I guess.

  • So we got some ingredients right now.

  • Let me go make that cake and let's do this.

  • Look at that cake right there.

  • I'm not going to get my sources on.

  • There you go.

  • So here is the birthday cake.

  • Oh wow, this is so cool.

  • There we go.

  • Happy birthday to you have been, dear, will be happy birthday to you.

  • Yeah, Yeah.

  • One more last one.

  • Good job.

  • You want to taste a little bit.

  • Oh my God, look at you.

  • It's your birthday cake.

  • You want to do yourself.

  • You want to eat it yourself?

  • Okay.

  • Yeah.

  • Happy birthday.

  • Happy day.

  • Happy birth.

  • Huh?

  • You want to go back to Disneyland.

  • Alright, so we're gonna close it.

  • Here.

  • This is Sophie's birthday official.

  • We're gonna spend some time in Disneyland.

  • Maybe just turn off the camera a little bit and just kind of enjoy the rest of the day.

  • If you guys want to see more videos like this or anything related to Japan, hit that subscribe button and the bubble and we'll catch you guys in.

  • The next one would be, can you show me your hot dog dance?

  • Hot dog dance?

  • Is that the hot dog dance?

  • Yeah.

So this is what it's like staying at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel for my son's second birthday.
