  • Welcome back.

  • Princess trust your right pleasant.

  • Try not to look to relieve sir, Welcome to watch mojo.

  • And today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 things you missed in House of the Dragon.

  • Episode one of these dream the Song of Ice and Fire for this list.

  • We're looking at easter eggs references and other subtle connections that might have eluded your keen eye during your watch through.

  • If you haven't seen the series premiere yet, spoilers are coming, anything else you noticed loudly proclaim your findings in the comments Number 10 picking up where game of Thrones left off.

  • Okay, not really seeing as house of the dragon takes place 200 years before the events of the main show.

  • But it's interesting to note that this follow up begins in a very similar way to the way the latter ended tragedy had claimed both his sons leaving his succession in doubt.

  • So in the year 101, the old king called a Great Council to choose an heir.

  • As game of Thrones, fans will remember and probably regret.

  • The final episode saw the various remaining lords of the seven kingdoms convened to elect a new monarch.

  • In an unprecedented move, they settle on brand, will you lead the seven kingdoms to the best of your abilities from this day until your last day.

  • Why do you think I came all this way?

  • Well, perhaps it wasn't quite so unprecedented as House of the Dragon catches viewers up by depicting King Vi Sarah's appointment after a great council deliberates on the rightful heir to the iron throne.

  • We guess history really does repeat itself, huh?

  • And Lord's vassal of the seven kingdoms.

  • Prince number nine.

  • House schedules seven shine upon all combatants.

  • Attorney of the Air is essentially a cornucopia of easter eggs featuring a slew of singles from the competing houses.

  • We're sure you didn't miss them hanging from the tilt barrier during the jousts, but we doubt everyone identified all of them.

  • So that's why we're here.

  • Of course, we all know the Tar gary in Sigil as represented by a three headed dragon and the black pelle.

  • It'd Sigil of House coal is prominent as Damon jousts.

  • Kristen cole also seen however, are the Lion of House Lannister, House, Baratheon stag tully's trout and the archer of charlie.

  • Lesser known ones include the literal seahorse of house valerian malice, tres eagle, Corbett's raven, and the high tower of House Hightower pretty on the nose there, Emma's bath in the first act of the episode, Sarah's finds his wife, Queen Emma bathing in the last days of her pregnancy Upon joining her side.

  • Sarah's remarks upon the lukewarm temperature of the water.

  • It's as warm as well allow no dragons prefer heat though dragons and by extension, some Tar Gary ins are drawn and resistant to extreme levels of heat.

  • Emma responds by saying this is the hottest the Masters would allow for of course anyone who watched game of Thrones knows that Daenerys Targaryen constantly bathed in scalding temperatures.

  • So this connection is evident.

  • It's too hot my Lady.

  • However, seeing as amazon, complicated childbirth ultimately leads to her death and the babies, It's possible that this scene could be read as foreshadowing.

  • That fact, it is my duty to provide.

  • And I'm sorry if I have failed you in that.

  • I am, But I've mourned all the dead Children.

  • Like number seven.

  • When Princess Nigeria arrived in dawn, who did she take her husband?

  • A man?

  • What was his name?

  • Lord Something if you answer with Lord something's up tomorrow will be furious.

  • It's not just history that repeats itself as House of the Dragon also brings back familiar names.

  • There's the obvious connection between King Viscera Star Gary in and the Viscera Star Gary in.

  • We know as Daenerys Brother, but we're sure fans ears perked up at the mention of Nigeria sitting under a were wood tree.

  • Remember those creepy things, rain era and Alison recount the history less of the warrior queen, Princess and I Maria across the narrow sea on 10,000 ships to flee their valerian pursuers.

  • She took Lord Malls martell of Dorne to husband and burned her own fleet of sons.

  • Fear to show her people that they were finished running.

  • Of course, we haven't met the real Nigeria with her having existed even centuries before this show, but we have met Arias dire wolf of the same name.

  • Still, this may be more set up than reference as it's been reported that another sequel series, 10,000 ships is set to recount Nigeria's story number six, Baylon.

  • Tar Gary in the series isn't the only name Tar Gary ins apparently like to reuse over the years as King Vi Sarah's decides to name his new baby boy, Baylon, after his own father had you and the queen chosen a name, much like his namesake, Belen isn't long for this world, but the similarities don't end there.

  • At the beginning of the episode, we already know that the first Baylon along with his brother have already perished.

  • But book readers will remember that Ballons death was attributed to a burst belly, basically appendicitis in the real world.

  • A technique is taught of the citadel, which involves cutting directly into the wound to free the infant, but the resulting blood.

  • While baby belon didn't die of a burst belly, he did come out of one as the fraud birth requires a cesarean section.

  • Next time you're naming your kid carries trying not to tempt the fates the air for a day, did you say it?

  • We must all morning our own way.

  • Number five, A feast for crows.

  • While the fourth novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, a feast for crows is about where the show began to diverge story wise screenwriters, David Benioff and D.

  • B.

  • Weiss were still quick to drop the title during a conversation between Ramsay and Roose bolton and want to recommend that we not sit and wait for Stannis to decide what sort of fight this is going to be, that we hit first and hit hard and leave a feast for the crows.

  • Obviously Ramsey's being literal about said crows and their feast.

  • But when the line loosely reappears in this episode, King V.

  • Series is being a little more metaphorical, these recent tragedies have left you without an obvious heir.

  • The king has an heir, My Lord, Despite how difficult this time is your grace.

  • I feel it's important the succession be firmly in place for the stability of the realm, even though Emma and prospective heir Baylon have just died in childbirth, the small council is already fretting over who's next in line incensed V.

  • Series rebukes them, likening them to crows feasting on corpses dead.

  • I will not sit here and suffer crows that come to face on their corpses.

  • # four, the iron throne.

  • The iron throne is a staple of game of Thrones.

  • So it's unsurprising that it appears here.

  • However, show watchers will note that this one's looking a lot pointier indeed.

  • There appear to be a whole lot more swords surrounding it than the last time we saw it much more in keeping with George R r martin's 1000 sore description in the books.

  • The throne is so much pointier now that it's giving the Sarah's serious pricks, it's a small cut from sitting the throne.

  • Nothing though martin was disappointed with the throne on the original show.

  • This may just rectify things as it also matches the mental picture Daenerys had prior to her actually seeing it.

  • What do 1000 swords look like in the mind of a little girl who can't count to 20?

  • I imagined a mountain of swords too high to climb So many fallen enemies.

  • You could only see the soles of his feet while they might have taken swords away in the years since.

  • It's too bad.

  • They never made it comfortable.

  • Number three, the death of an Aaron uh speaking of Amas Death, it should be noted that she hails from House Aaron prior to marrying Viscera Star Gary in While the errands don't have a consistent presence on Game of Thrones, they ultimately play a major part in kicking off the show's events.

  • Lord Stark, I would name you the hand of the king.

  • As you'll recall the first episodes.

  • Inciting incident is ned Stark being courted by robert Baratheon to be the new hand of the king.

  • This of course, leads to eight seasons of Misfortune.

  • But it all came about with the murder of the previous hand, john Aaron.

  • What if john Aaron told someone, but who would he tell my husband?

  • If you told the king, both our heads would be skewered on the city gates by now.

  • Whatever john Aaron knew or didn't know it died with him.

  • While we're only one episode in with House of the Dragon, we're already seeing that this, Aaron death is similarly having major repercussions with Westeros at large.

  • Number two, the valerian steel dagger just as Dennis foresaw the end of Valeria.

  • Megan foresaw the end of the world of men.

  • Just to begin with a terrible winter gusting out of the distant north more than anything else in the episode series, speech terrain era is teeming with references to game of Thrones recounting a dragon's dream of the events of the great war between the living and the dead.

  • Obviously we're not seeing this connection with something viewers missed.

  • But a smaller moment occurs when visitors clutches the dagger attached to his hip.

  • This secret, it's been passed from king to wear since seconds time.

  • Now you must promise to carry it and protected.

  • It seems like fate that the series would have this dagger with him at this moment considering it's huge importance in the events he describes.

  • Not only does the dagger kick start the war of the five kings with the failed assassination of brand, but it ends the great war when Aria uses it to end the night king, it's cool to see fictional history come alive.

  • Number one, promise me the valerian steel dagger isn't the only sly reference during his speech as one even slider comes at the end when he asks very near a to promise him to keep wagons song of ice and fire with her.

  • Promise me the exact words Promise me this rain era.

  • Promise me may not seem like much, but they're actually eerily similar to another pivotal moment in game of Thrones.

  • No, I'm not in the season six finale brands.

  • Vision takes him to the Tower of joy where Liana Stark gives birth to Jon snow.

  • We don't hear Liana telling her brother ned that regard Tar Gerry in is the father.

  • But when she similarly has ned promised to keep john safe, her words are almost the same as V series is save for the name change.

  • Did you enjoy this video?

Welcome back.
