  • so why do so many of us  struggle to do it regularly?

  • The reason is that we focus too heavily on  the long-term health benefits of exercise,  

  • like weight loss and improved healthinstead of the short-term ones.

  • When you exercise, your body releases endorphins  which improve your mood and help reduce stress.

  • Aerobic exercise has also been shown to acutely  enhance cognitive function, particularly executive  

  • function, and memory. If you need a quick  boost to your studying, try exercising first.

  • As humans, we prefer instant gratification over  delayed gratification. We prioritize things  

  • that make us feel good in the moment  over things that feel uncomfortable,  

  • even if they might not be  good for us in the long term.

  • The great thing about exercise is that you  don’t have to compromise. You can enjoy the  

  • short-term benefits as well as the long-term  ones, it just requires shifting your mindset.

  • If youre looking to pick up one new habit  that will give you the mostbang for your  

  • buckin many different aspects of your  life, exercise is a great place to start.
