  • It teaches us to use our five senses to bring ourselves back to the present moment and we found out the prime minister has passed away because of the shooting in almost 2.5 years of marriage and my love for him has only gotten stronger.

  • Thank you Sakura Co and Tokyo treat for sponsoring this video.

  • It's summer in Japan which means extreme heat and humidity and I haven't felt like walking or riding my bike to the market.

  • So I ordered my groceries off of amazon fresh And unfortunately due to Japan's plastic use problem, I received a bag of food wrapped in plastic.

  • Of course I've completely healed my egg allergy.

  • So I've been on an avocado toast and egg kick recently, which is something I used to eat all the time before I developed the allergy and it's something I look forward to in the morning.

  • Finding something that brings you joy when you first wake up is what living an icky guy lifestyle is all about.

  • What gets you excited and helps you kick off your day on the right foot.

  • This is cafe ole kitkat as you can see it is open to my husband took one of them, cheers Oh my God, that is a strong flavor, it tastes just like coffee.

  • Recently I opened up a community for creatives to help them grow their audience, become more confident in filming, editing showing up on social media and potentially monetize its for both content creators and influencers or entrepreneurs who want to understand the creative process of social media and the art of connecting to their own community through the screen.

  • So I'm working on future content for that group and also editing my next video, which should already be up by now for those of you who have just discovered my channel, my husband and I met on instagram.

  • He lived in L.

  • A.

  • And I lived in Japan for the same amount of time.

  • He lived in the States.

  • We got married after only a few months and it's been almost 2.5 years of marriage and my love for him has only gotten stronger.

  • Our conversations get better and better too.

  • Which was at the top of my list meeting.

  • Mr Right?

  • Because when you say it, I wanted to look up to where it is.

  • It's like really free when you put your phone away.

  • Like if I put my phone away into my bag, like I don't think about it.

  • It feels so free.

  • Like I feel like like anxiety is gone.

  • Oh my God, it looks so amazing.

  • We're at this diner.

  • It's like super nice here.

  • It's like all like kind of american ish.

  • They have like breakfast, but right now they're only serving lunch is like, it's burgers and stuff.

  • Looks great.

  • Okay.

  • I told you what I want.

  • And he's like, he turns on immediately and he's like, okay, I know where that is.

  • I said I need, I need pads and he's like, oh, I know where that is.

  • Hello, everyone welcome to the vlog today.

  • I'm going to meet up with none other than Alyssa.

  • Honestly, it's so hard to make plans with people unless it's like the weekend I like to go out on the weekdays just because it's just less crowded and we can go into places a lot easier.

  • Today's a friday.

  • So it might be a little bit busier than normal, but it's only like two friends that are able to go out during the week.

  • Today we're going to do some tea tasting.

  • I've never done this before.

  • I found this place.

  • I don't know how easy it is to get in.

  • It doesn't look like you need a reservation.

  • I don't know how hot it's going to be today.

  • So we might want some cold tea.

  • I don't know.

  • And then we want to go and see if there's a cancelation at the harry potter cafe.

  • Um I checked and it's all booked out but who knows?

  • Someone could cancel.

  • We want to go see it anyway because it's all decorated.

  • They're doing the play um soon here in japan without all japanese cast.

  • So in celebration of that they have a cafe there for two months.

  • Japan and their pop up cafes.

  • I wish they would just leave it because harry potter is very popular and I feel like they should just leave it traditional japanese tea ceremonies and even the making of tea is a form of meditation.

  • It teaches us to use our five senses to bring ourselves back to the present moment.

  • This is a practice I've taken with me everywhere in my life since learning about the meditative experience of t.

  • Thank you, I was just talking about the sort of deeper meaning of tea ceremonies and things like that because in Japan tea ceremony reminds us to use our five senses so to be more present, it's a very meditative practice and that's what I love about.

  • This is more of like a modern day tea ceremony, it seems it's very high end.

  • I feel very like I don't belong here.

  • It's very well shot out here.

  • That's what I love about teas and stuff like there's so many different times.

  • So how does one use their five senses to ground themselves?

  • Honestly it's a way to keep your mind from going somewhere else feeling the air on your face, the warmth of a cup of coffee or tea.

  • The sound of my friend's voice for example observing your surroundings or the smell of incense in the shop is a way to feel grounded date.

  • This is just talking about her day, everyday life in Japan.

  • She's like yeah he saw a monkey yesterday.

  • There's some weird stuff going on where I live.

  • Okay we finished our tea experience.

  • It was great.

  • Now we're headed to see if we can get into the harry potter cafe reservation only, but we're manifesting it to get inside.

  • If not there's like a cool place outside that you can take pictures and stuff.

  • So guys, I brought my camera so we can take photos oh my God, oh my God, beautiful now.

  • Okay, even if we didn't get into the harry potter cafe, this staircase was everything, the music, the paintings on the wall, the house banners, everything was so magical and brought me back.

  • I am house ravenclaw.

  • You guys, I would love to know your house in the comments down below.

  • I think harry potter should have ended up with Hermione.

  • That's how it should have been, how it should have been.

  • Who thinks otherwise?

  • Unsubscribe.

  • No, I'm just kidding.

  • All right.

  • We couldn't get in.

  • We tried, but there is a store, so it's fine.

  • All right, so we can't get into the shop either because there's a reservation that makes it so hard for people to enjoy harry potter.

  • Like it's just like ridiculous and it's only here for a short time.

  • And then oh my God, I feel like we're not supposed to be in here.

  • We're going to have lunch at like two p.m. I look like a sweaty freaking mess because it's so hot out.

  • I just got home and we found out the Prime Minister, the former Prime Minister has passed away because of a shooting now.

  • My husband was like, this is so different, this is political dada dada.

  • It doesn't matter.

  • I feel like this world is like a chain reaction.

  • There's sick people watching these shootings and things happening around the world and people start to feel confident.

  • I feel like they can just do all this sick stuff.

  • I'm not saying this is directly linked to like american shootings and things like that, but we've been hearing a lot about gun violence this year, like it's just, it's insane.

  • There was a shooting in Norway, I know it wasn't a mass shooting here, but shooting in Norway, shooting in Denmark shootings in America is anywhere like actually safe and who knows like somebody could be watching this person get away, this person created and made a gun while that is very, this is very, very rare thing in Japan.

  • This does not happen in Japan and there's no access to guns here.

  • So this is a very rare situation shocking in Japan that this actually happened, that someone actually went to the extent of making a gun out of barrels and tape and all of that stuff.

  • It's a very, very sad day because he's the longest serving prime minister in Japan.

  • Anyway, this is very shocking.

  • I don't really want to say too much, but that's what happened today, living your truth is like being the main character of your own story, resilience awareness, embracing your own humanness, knowing that there are going to be days where things just go wrong but knowing you'll overcome it, even choosing the support of characters in your story so that you as a person are lifted and can grow and improve in a healthy environment.

  • I think you've ever appeared in my blog before, She's from the Netherlands.

  • Oh yeah.

  • What is that?

  • I have to like slowly.

  • But I think the coffee is made, but I put it in the other top bit.

  • Hi, I'm from the Netherlands.

  • You were a student now.

  • You're just kind of like looking for a job.

  • I've been in Japan for 2.5 years.

  • Yeah.

  • Oh, yeah.

  • So we're in Shibuya right now and we see this long, long line of people and it's aligned to take a picture with a picture of boys film The Big Rock over here.

  • I'm just moving around way too much.

  • I'm going like.

It teaches us to use our five senses to bring ourselves back to the present moment and we found out the prime minister has passed away because of the shooting in almost 2.5 years of marriage and my love for him has only gotten stronger.
