  • Hi, everyone!

  • Hi, everyone!

  • Hey, everyone, I'm Stephanie!

  • I'm Miriam.

  • I'm Jen.

  • And today I'm going to be testing mini stationery

  • from JetPens.com.

  • Watch us test mini pens in Part One by clicking the card above.

  • JetPens Tries Mini Stationery: Part II Mini Scissors

  • Raymay BeansCut

  • First off, we have the Raymay Beanscut Mini Scissors.

  • Raymay Beanscut! Even the name is cute because it looks like a bean!

  • So small!

  • These look kind of like a mini pocket knifeactually.

  • How do you open this?

  • (Gasp!)

  • Okay... okay.

  • So you need to move this lever to the side...

  • Oh... there will be b-roll so you don't need to watch me struggle!

  • You push it up and then it just pops out.

  • And then to lock it, you push it back down and then lock it back in place.

  • Let's see how it cuts.

  • Ohh!

  • Hm. kind of leaves uh-- the paper  is like slightly dented.

  • Oh! It has like a very satisfying like, crunch. I don't think you could like,

  • cut a whole thing of paper.

  • Oh, should we try it? Okay!

  • No, this is so uncomfortable.

  • This is probably best for cutting little plastic tags and stuff.

  • And noweveryone's favorite game show:

  • Will It Cut?!

  • I'm like, nervous for it.

  • I have no stake in this!

  • Here we go. Ready?

  • Yay!

  • This is thicker paper. Let's  see if it can cut through this.

  • Oh, it's not that strong. Okay, maybe stick to  just regular paper with these.

  • Now let's cut some loose thread.

  • Snip! Very satisfyingJust like (snips scissors) and then it's done!

  • Ketchup.

  • It's stuck. Nope. It's okayNot stuck anymore. I had to-- (keeps snipping)

  • Videographer: Ooh!

  • Tada!

  • Videographer: So look at the BeansCut.

  • Mhm.

  • Videographer: There's a little nub.

  • Ohh!

  • There's a little envelope etched there. I guess you can use it to cut open envelopes.

  • Oh my gosh! That is so cool!

  • You just slide it through and it cuts it like--!

  • Oh my gosh! I-- this-- my rating for this just went up!

  • Oh! You can open your envelope with it!

  • Listen. May not be the best scissors for you. But if you need a tiny letter opener,

  • you don't need that big fancy knife on your desk! You need this cute little bean!

  • Wow, that's so coolTiny little thing with so many functions!

  • And it even comes with this little keychain thingYou can put on your keys so you never lose it.

  • I think mini scissors are such a gimmick.

  • That's just me. I'm just-- I'm just going to be straight up.

  • Uh, at first I thought this looked  really useless because I was like,

  • "It looks like a toy." But it's actually very useful. It has two blades.

  • I like that it's not just the scissorsLike you can actually open envelopes with it.

  • Sun-Star PetitChokit

  • Okay, next up we have the Sun-Star PetitChokit!

  • "Chokit" is the sound that a scissor makes when you cut so...

  • It looks like a chiclet!

  • Also, "PetitChokit" is great. Just say it. Just say it right now. No one else is around, just say it! PetitChokit!

  • PetitChokit!

  • Oh! Wha! Sorry, I'm already testing the product.

  • And it opens into these little scissors!

  • I feel like... yeah, this is actually easier to hold.

  • Oh and then you can just cut like this.

  • Alright, give me things to cut.

  • Okay. I like how this cuts more than the um... the Raymay,

  • since it doesn't leave as much of a--  the paper is not like denting inwards on one side.

  • Still not able to like go through a whole thing.

  • But, I mean. It's a mini scissor, what do you expect? Nobody's going to use this to cut up paper.

  • And now... Will It Cut?!

  • Plastic. Here we go.

  • No problem. What tag?

  • Wha! Very satisfying snip!

  • I do sewing sometimes and then like, the worst thing is when you're trying to cut the thread

  • and then it starts fraying. And then you start you start likehacking at it and then it just gets worse.

  • And then it becomes like all spread out. It's really ugly.

  • Thicker piece of paper.

  • Oh... yeah. These too, I'd sayThe strength is about the same so...

  • Another ketchup!

  • I mean it's...

  • The thing about using micro scissors is that you get the first cut in just fine, but then you need to like keep going.

  • (Whispers) Oh, it feels nice to snip.

  • It just doesn't have the room to likekeep going because you have stuff stopping it.

  • But that worked just fine and I liked it a lot!

  • I like how the blades just kind of open up when you slide it up.

  • And my favorite thing, of courseis how sharp the blades are.

  • I really-- it's really, really frustrating when you're trying to cut stuff and then it doesn't cut cleanly.

  • Or it starts fraying. Because then you're like,

  • "What's the point of the scissors? You're just making it worse!"

  • It's cute. I think it's a little easier to use.

  • And it also has a little-- you knowstring where you can attach the keys or whatever.

  • Sun-Star Stickyle

  • And finally for our scissors we have the Sun-Star Stickyle Mini Scissors.

  • Which is very on brand for me and my color-- my colorway.

  • I like the color. It's really cute. Ohh!

  • Oh boy.

  • Oh, it's kind of cute. They're like...

  • It looks like gardening shears but like super tiny.

  • These look like they'll be easier to lose,

  • because they become detached unlike the other two which are all in one contained unit.

  • Again like the Chokit you get an actual like, scissor shape so it's probably easier to cut with.

  • Oh yeah, this one I feel like you could actually  cut through an entire length.

  • I mean, it's not idealBut it's better than the other two.

  • Yeah, because you can get like better leverage on this.

  • I like it!

  • The blades on this one don't feel as sharp as the ones on the Chokit.

  • So it feels like there's a little bit more feedback on-- from the paper.

  • So it's not as satisfying but it still cuts cleanly.

  • I think it's really cute though.

  • Will-- eh... you get the point.

  • Let's test it on thread.

  • Oh no! I said it wasn't as sharp. Wait... there we go!

  • Cut it! Let's find another one. Try it again.

  • Okay. That one cut with one snip but it wasn't like a satisfying sound.

  • Oh no! You can do it!

  • Ahh, it's frayed! Oh... okay. I guess this one doesn't do as well with thread.

  • Thicker construction paper.

  • Ohh!

  • These blades are definitely sharper... or maybe you just get better leverage.

  • Yeah, this cuts through the paper a lot better. I can imagine this cutting through plastic tags or...

  • ketchup packets. Whatever you have.

  • Okay. Sun-Star scissors. Sun-Star case.

  • Oh my god. Like nothing.

  • One order of ketchup, please!

  • I want this to work so bad. Let me hold it closer to the blade.

  • There we go. Okay. Okay.

  • Again. I think as with all of these, you need  the support of the left hand to likehold the thing.

  • It's cute. But unfortunately the  the blades weren't as sharp as I would like.

  • Final Thoughts

  • I like these two but I'm gonna have to go with the  Raymay BeansCut just because it has...

  • I like stuff that has a lot of uses. So it's not just scissorsit also has the envelope cutter.

  • So the more use I can get out of it, the more I want it.

  • Okay, which of these things am I going to lose first? Hmm. Nojust kidding!

  • This one I like the most.

  • Becausefeel like if I-- if I were going to have to use any of these it would have to be this one.

  • Becausefeel like because I art journal, I feel like I need more stability to fussy cut stuff.

  • Also because the color is very on brand for me.

  • (Sighs) This is suchhard decision. They all are good at what they're supposed to do.

  • But they all have design flaws.

  • (Sounds of struggling to pick just one)

  • If I had to choose one I think I would go for the Stickyle because

  • the cutting ability is just the most important thing to me.

  • Even though these have really cool features and won't get lost as easily,

  • I value the function a lot more so Stickyle it is.

  • (Gasps!) They come in pink?! Yes. I'm gonna buy the pink one  to match my pink Style Fit. Sorry, mini pens.

  • I still want-- I still love my Style Fit.

  • And that's all for today! Which of these mini  stationery items would you carry around with you?

  • You could like, hide this in your purse and  like, it could potentially work as a weapon. (Laughs)

  • Self-defense. Self-defense!

  • I thought this was going to be mustard.

  • Only ketchup. I thought it was going to be ketchup, mustard, relish.

  • That would have been fun and exciting. But no.
