Anyone familiar with the Master of the Mystic arts New Doctor Strange would have some pretty trippy sequences.

You think that this material universe is all there is Anyone unfamiliar, had it made very clear to them during the opening sequence, after Kai's Ilias murders, Kamar Taj is librarian and steals rules for a ritual.

He and his followers are pursued by a hooded ancient one by trapping them in the mirror dimension.

The ancient one nearly gains the upper hand.

The city block folds in on itself as she battles Delius as minions using fan like projections to batter them continuously.

Not only does it simply look awesome, but it immediately got us intrigued for the magical side of marvel we hadn't really seen yet.

Number seven.

A weathered hero Logan.

The world of Logan is much darker than what we saw in any of the X men movies.

The movie impresses that on the audience from the very beginning, guys, chrome plated lugs, gonna strip as criminals attempt to steal the hubcaps off his limousine.

A grizzled, exhausted Logan tries to make them see reason.

Thanks to the R rating, the ensuing fight is the first time we get to see what wolverine's claws can really do to someone.

It is completely visceral and a sight to behold.

But the opening gets props for more than just its violence with this healing factor, not what it used to be.

This isn't the flashy, undefeatable hero we'd seen before.

Life has certainly taken its toll both on his body and his spirit.

Blue Sky Guardians of the Galaxy.

Volume two with the team Now together, James Gunn knew exactly how to set up their second adventure where the scene that perfectly encapsulates their dynamic.

The opening sequence introduces its enigmatic villain and hero in two very different but equally compelling ways, Riddler's murder of Gotham's Mayor is a tremendous case study in lighting and staging, Bruce's monologue set over several crimes is even more fascinating.

Like Tim Burton's batman, we see the terrifying impact Bruce has left on criminals, but when that light hits the sky, it's not just a call, it's a warning, but as he monologues with each perpetrator scared of even the possibility of batman appearing?

It's shown to be on a much wider scale hell are you supposed to be the entire sequence is a slow burn build up that gradually pulls you into the corrupt crime ridden city invention.

Number two Thanos arrives Avengers infinity war Comic readers were likely aware of Thanos power heading into infinity war, but as far as onscreen appearances went, he hadn't done much to warrant all the clout, thankfully infinity war, wasted no time in proving that he completely deserved it.

Nonetheless, the bodies of as guardians littering thor's ship, Ebony maw preaching of his master's supremacy and the reveal that Thanos already had the power stone were enough to set the tone.
