ST Pete has been really popular these days in florida.

I live in Tampa, which is about 30 minutes away.

And ST Pete, you know, has a beautiful waterway around here.

They have the, They have the pier, they have a cute downtown with trendy bars, cafes, shops, little boutique shops.

So it's really like boomed.

I feel like in the last, I don't know, 3-5 years or so.

So I thought, you know, we'd come together with the girls and check out all it has to offer.

We're gonna go to the pier.

So this thing here is like, it looks really pretty at night, it turns like different colors and stuff.

It's like a famous artist.

Um yeah, but at night it's like really pretty, they actually had this at the adobe max.

I went, I went to one year, Jenna Elfman is who, who does this, but she has it in different locations.

But yeah, so she was raised in Tampa Bay, so that's another significant thing, but that was really cool.

I put one here in ST Pete, this is a food area here, looks like you're allowed to bring your dogs here too because I've seen like dog waste stations and I see a corgi up there and they have cocktails, beer, wine, frozen drinks, it says spa beach bistro.

There's also pizza here, a nice little fun water park over there for the kids and family, nice view.

Lots of chairs, benches.

There's like a courtesy shuttle.

Pure courtesy shuttle.

Oh, that's really nice over there.

Look at that down that way as a restaurant.

Keep on going forward.

And I think there's like there might be another restaurant up there.

I don't know, more beautiful views over here.

I almost wish that I brought a bathing suit because I didn't realize you can actually jump into the water over there.

We see people like snorkeling and stuff and the water looks really clear today.

Nice and blue.

Look at that.

It's beautiful.

But it is hot.

It's um 88° right now.

It's Cinco de Mayo, May five.

So like the old pier used to have like this big triangle at the end and they like redid this whole pier a couple of years ago and they did a really great job renovating this entire space.

That's the hanoi over there.

The pink hotel.

I tried to get a room over there, but that hotel was booked and then the next hotel I wanted was birchwood, which is another kind of trendy boutique hotel with a rooftop bar, but that was booked as well.

So yeah, I guess I guess that ST Pete is becoming really popular.

Okay, so this is Discovery Center.

Okay, we're gonna go in here and cool down cause it's really hot.

Oh, it is admission tickets.

Okay, good, how are you?

So it's like just a little aquarium type of place.

These are cute actually.

look at that.

So now we're at the end of the pier and it looks like a really nice restaurant up there.

It's so lovely.

Look at all these people riding bikes around here.

You can take your dogs around here to your family, your friends.

So I think it's called Pure Tiki Pure T.

That is pretty packed take here.

I'm gonna say there's like I just saw this place first so I just sat over here, feels like everywhere else is kind of full.

So we made it up here to peer tiki.

It's very lovely.

Pretty full.

It's busy, it is busy so there wasn't much of a food selection at the restaurant at the end of the pier.

There's lots of cool drinks and nice atmosphere, great views.

But we heard that the stock for this place is pretty good and you know it's right on the pier as well so we're gonna have more choices and food items so we decided to move here and give this, give this one a try.

Okay so we are done with the pier area.

We just had some lunch at Doc ford's so they definitely had a lot more choices of things to eat.

Their food was like okay.

The average nothing special.

Um margarita.

My reading was good.

My chicken sandwich is a little dry, they're laid on my fries just overall average average service.

So now we're gonna go back to the hotel the rest of it.

We might change our outfits and we're gonna go back out and have some dinner at Red Mesa cantina.

Hopefully not taking reservations today because it's Cinco de Mayo.

So it's a walk in surface like first come, first serve.

If not though, there's plenty of other restaurants nearby like Oak and Stone is one of them has really good reviews.

And also we're staying at the Hyatt which is walking distance to all the places that we're going today and a couple of places like the Speakeasy will have to take an Uber but most of them are under two miles away.

So santa Cinco de Maya was obviously packed uh hour and a half way right now.

seven p.m. But they said second floor and third floor.

Maybe we could sit down.

So that's the first floor now we're gonna go up to second floor, see what it's like I don't know if they do this all the time but they have a ballroom up here on the second floor and it's all open, there's nobody here but we can get drinks and we don't have to be in a crowd.

We're just getting all the freebies right now.

Oh think back there.

Yeah yeah got a drink.

Well I got my drink and he's gonna wait until later but I ran into my coworker and friend back there here, which is pretty cool.

She bought me a drink and very very lively.

Good place to like hang out with friends and stuff downtown ST pete.

It's very bad because my but yeah, after this we're gonna go find somewhere to eat.

Alright, so we're at hawkers now, thank you to Alison for the recommendation to your friends are in the bathroom or something.

Yeah, that'd be great.

So yeah, so we're at hawkers, it's an asian tapas restaurant and it reminded candy of Singapore because yeah, when I was living in Singapore, there's there's like hawker centers everywhere.

So when Alison was saying hawkers and then she said it was asian street food, I'm like, huh?

I wonder if they got that from Singapore's hawker centers and it looks kind of similar.

I mean not everything, but anyways, yeah, the asian like street food stuff like yeah, got the little plates and the chopstick right little update.

Um last night Candy wasn't feeling so well after our dinner at the awesome hawkers place.

Um So we kind of called it an early night, what Candy did me and my friends, we went out downtown to park and rec for a little bit, had some good times dancing video.

I was like, oh man, actually while they were there are hotel Hotel had like a fire alarm.

So I had to exit the building from the 10th floor, which is a little bit nerve wracking because everyone was gone.

I'm like by myself, I'm like, Oh my gosh, I gotta go down the staircase by myself.

Anyways, luckily it was a false alarm.

So um, so all that happened while they're having fun.

Yeah, so unfortunately Kenny couldn't join in on the fun, which was a bummer because I was hoping we could experience it all together, but you know, you can't help it.

So then fast forward to this morning.

We did go get some coffee at parodic.

Oh, such a cute coffee shop.

I highly recommend it.

They have great pastries there too.

They had some breakfast items.

Then we get back to the hotel and we're gonna, you know, we had another, a few things planned for this for today actually, sorry, going back to last night, we were going to go to a couple of speakeasies called Dirty Laundry and the Saint because they're super cool themed speakeasy bars.

But again, Candy wasn't feeling well, so I just didn't want to do it without her there.

Right, gonna stop here for a second this morning after the coffee shop, candy went to the bathroom and I was paying blood and I'm like, what the hell, It freaked me out.

So I kind of freaked out and I'm sitting in the bathroom and of course, crystal and janie and they're really helpful, they got some info and they're like, let's just go to urgent care down the streets like a couple of blocks away from the hotel and that's what I did and luckily it's just seems like it's just a minor infection.

So now we were actually on our way to pick up my medication.

Yeah so this is like urgent care.

Candy went to us right down the street from our hotel.

It's called signature urgent care.

We went here because one is closed and two they had really great reviews and can you experienced?

Yeah they're really friendly in there.

They saw me right away.

Um So yeah I uh you ever come across my situation and you're here go here change in plans in ST pete.

Still having fun.

Oh and we just had lunch at oak and stone while Candy was waiting for her scene and the pizza was pretty good.

They have like a cool beer thing there too where you can taste all these different types of beer by the ounce.

And that was like right next to our hotel at Hyatt anyhow.

So now we're gonna go pick up candies meds and maybe check out the two D.

Cafe.

So we're on Central Avenue the other side of it.

Lots of cool things like used bookstores, boutique shops, cafes, interesting sculptures there.

It is judy cafe.

That's adorable.

Yeah this is a croissant and a muffin with vanilla custard inside, what was it called?

A coffin coffin and crystal got iced coffee.

Um And it's like to be cafe that's where we're at and we're going to dig in.

Try this but we took like a million photos before we sat down and actually ordered some food.

So many boots.

I know why there's so many boots in florida.

Maybe that's why they're here and people are like I can't wear this groovy that's cute.

Mm This one looks bad.

It's not his pack that was like so much.

I didn't know where to start too much.

That's such a cute sciences between herself.

So nice.

Okay so we went to the two D.

Cafe.

It was so cute.

I loved it.

It was really nice and chill in.

There wasn't busy at all.

And oh my gosh they have amazing pastry selections there.

That was not krone but crop in really delicious.

And then after that we went some consignment shopping because one of our friends jane is like really into their shopping.

So they had a few good ones there.

One of them had to wear a mask.

It was mandatory.

We didn't have any masks that looked like a huge great one but we went to Wendy's closet I believe and the other one was retreat and those are both great like they were like different kind of styles and vibes um and then now it's a little bit off from the location where we're at on central, but this one is called detox and it's kind of like an upper scale version of a consignment store, but they have some good stuff in there too.

So yeah, if you want to go through shopping in ST pete, lots of options.

So yeah, it's a it was a great, great weekend.

Even though we had some mishaps, it was still a great Girls weekend in ST pete.
