  • In this video, we will teach you how to download

  • custom content for Sims 4.

  • Custom content adds player-generated objects

  • and character features into Sims 4.

  • To start, go to documents on your computer,

  • then go to Electronic Arts and choose Sims 4.

  • In this folder, there should be another folder

  • labeled "Mods."

  • If a mods folder doesn't appear, simply create one

  • with the same spelling and capitalization;

  • keep this window open.

  • Next, choose custom content of your choice online.

  • For this video, we will go to the popular website

  • The Sims Resource, where creators upload

  • their custom content for download.

  • Click on the object you would like to download.

  • To download it, scroll and click "Download."

  • When redirected, wait for the timer to prepare the asset

  • and hit "Download" again.

  • Once the content is downloaded,

  • copy and paste it into the mods folder of The Sims 4.

  • Open Sims 4, click the three dots, and go to "Game Options."

  • Go to "Other" and check "Enable Custom Content and Mods"

  • and "Script Mods."

  • Click "Apply Changes."

  • For the custom content to register,

  • the game will need to be restarted.

  • Exit the menu and close the game.

  • Relaunch Sims 4, and a pop-up should appear

  • showing what custom content and mods have been installed.

  • Hit play, and you'll now enjoy The Sims 4

  • with your new custom content.

  • If you go into build mode,

  • you'll see the custom content is available

  • to be dragged and dropped into your Sim's home.

  • You can easily find which items are custom content

  • by this wrench icon.
