So I just checked into La Quinta Inn Waco downtown Baylor.

I mainly came here because I wanted to check out Joanna and Chip Gaines Marketplace which is called the silos.

Also magnolia marketplace and it's dog friendly.

So I could take kuma with me since I'm on a road trip right now from uh California to florida and I was looking for sites where I can just check out something with kuma and magnolia market was one of them.

It's only a half mile to the market so I couldn't even walk there if I wanted to which I would try to do.

But I have Kuma with me too and I want to take her so it might be easier if I drive there and then walk around.

We'll see the petty is pretty fair is $20 a night.

So I'm staying here for two nights and then I'll be $40 and I think $40 is the max that they'll charge you.

So not that bad.

The check in was a breeze.

The staff up front was really friendly and very accommodating.

I asked for a room on the high floor and away from the street.

I got the high floor but I am close to the street or the highway.

Um but I don't hear the highway so I think it'll be okay.

I mainly just want to be away from the noise so that kuma doesn't hear it and she doesn't react to it now that I'm listening a little bit closer.

I do hear the highway a little bit, I hope it doesn't bother me but I'm in room 401 and it's away from the elevator and on the highest floor.

So at least I got that part right.

She absolutely loves carpet.

So I do try to get hotel rooms with a carpet if possible.

And I do like the design of this carpet's pretty cool.

But yeah, so let me give you a tour of this room actually like these drapes.

I just noticed this now, but there's like an ombre from white orange to turquoise.

Very lovely.

I mean they did a really great job with the design here.

I love this wall.

I believe that's the Waco bridge and the color, the orange color goes really nice against this bed in the dark wood and they have very modern furniture.

There's a lamp here on each side of the bed.

So if you're staying with two people, one person can have the light switch right here and if the other person sleeping they can just turn it off on the other side.

There's a phone and also some outlets with regular outlets and USB outlets, which is nice.

And this is a king size room.

I usually get to queens but I decided to get a king size room here because it was cheaper and there's a chair right next to it.

So I'll probably just leave my stuff there.

I'm on a road trip.

So we got to bring in lots of stuff and as I noted it's right next to the highway so I can hear some cars which I don't like.

It's not too bad, but I just here like the rumbling of the truck sometimes there isn't in and out nearby.

There's also chick fil a what?

A burger.

I mean all my fast food restaurants are right by this hotel.

So I'm really excited about that.

This bed actually has five pillows, not the standard four.

Okay, so I guess I have lots to choose from over here.

Across from the bed is the working desk area and they have a light underneath and turn it on or off and they have some outlets, there more outlets on the other side.

And both of these have a regular outlet and a USB outlet.

On this side is the Tv with the console and there's lots of drawer space.

I've actually already utilized this.

I've put all my stuff in here, like my camera, so my equipment here.

Yeah, that's a lot.

I do love this luggage rack area.

I like that.

It's not the foldout ones because sometimes those are hard to use or they're just so flimsy.

This is so much better to lay out your luggage and I love that.

On the other side is an alarm clock, more outlets and some drawer space again, so it's a digital control here for the temperature and um, I can hear it over there.

Okay, right here by the entryway is a microwave a coffee machine with an ice bucket and a fridge.

I always forget.

So I always utilize the fridge because I bring stuff with me too chill.

They have some drinks and sausages.

I'm bringing all the way from California.

I'm hoping it'll make it in this drawer slides if you slide it over, it reveals the closet.

So, I definitely utilized this as well.

I have like my coat hanging.

I have both my suitcases in here.

Some bags and there's the ironing board and iron and across from that is the bathroom.

So here is the bathroom.

That's the shower looks very modern in here.

It's a it's a cute size.

They give you lots of towels, lots of counter space in this beautiful light.

And this is awesome when you're trying to get ready and put on makeup.

I like their toiletries a lot.

Um, They provide paul Mitchell.

Not that I'm a huge fan, but it is a higher end brand.

So, I do appreciate that.

Also do like these bars of soap where they it's like a massage protect.

Yeah.

They call it a massage bar.

I love these types of soaps.

And I also always appreciate makeup remover wipes.

Okay, so that's the end of the room tour.

I will report back and let you know how my stay with.

Overall this hotel stay was really great.

The location you can't beat because it's right next to all the fast food restaurants.

All my favorites like in and out water burger, uh chick fil a and now I see there's like a tropical smoothie right across the street to which is awesome.

And of course the silos is only half a mile away.

I loved all the space that I had in the room, lots of counter space where I can lay all my stuff, Lots of storage space.

The shower was great.

Great pressure, hot water.

I really appreciated the makeup wipes.

I even asked for some extra.

So they gave me a few more.

They also have free breakfast from 6-9.

I went to go check that out this morning and they had waffles cereal.

Some hot foods like eggs, sausage and what else do they have?

Yogurt, bananas, maybe a couple more items.

And of course coffee and tea.

I did have some of their coffee and I wasn't a big fan of it.

In fact, I don't think, I think I took one sip and I couldn't drink anymore.

It was a little too dark for me.

So I feel like dark coffee.

Then it's for you.

They do have a pool here.

I want to go check it out real quick.

It's actually half indoors, half outdoors so it's covered and then there's like an outdoor space where there's like a lounge area with some chairs right across from the pool is a really nice jim great size with some treadmills.

Some of those exercise balls and they even provide towels and water.

And I thought the gym was really great.

Some cons that I have to note the wifi does not work very well at all.

I thought the wife, I would be okay here because it's pretty modern.

I think it's fairly new.

Plus you know, it's in a city in downtown so you'd expect some good wifi.

But I know um I had to call tech support to help me get proper wifi.

Not having proper wifi is a huge problem for me because a lot of the times when I'm on a road trip like this, I need to check my emails for work.

Another thing too is that my room is right next to the highway or the interstate so I could hear all the cars and all the cars that go by on the highway I'm definitely hearing although it's faint.

You do like here constant cars going by.

I don't think it bothered me too much but it was just the fact that I did ask for a room to be away from the interstate and then they give me a room right next to the interstate so I'm not sure if she heard me incorrectly or not.

But yeah, I didn't like it.

Um I should have been more adamant about it.

But you know, once you check into your room and you're just like ah screw it, I'll just deal with it again, it's not too bad, but you definitely hear it.

So if you are one of those people that don't want to hear any noise at night, Then make sure you don't get room 401.

But that's it.

Um like I said, overall, I did enjoy my stay here, so I hope this review helped you out.
