  • Hey everybody, I'm in a sock set right now and I am on a tour of Tokyo today, which is really cool but this tour is not any ordinary tour, this is a Pokemon go tour, which is really exciting.

  • We're going to catch all the rare Pokemon and see the sights and eat the food and interact with other people today.

  • So uh let's go, welcome to the first and only Tokyo Pokemon go tour that you can sign up for thus far if you're visiting Japan for a short time, this is a perfect opportunity for you to not only learn about the popular mesmerizing sights of Japan, it's an opportunity to get your body moving, learn about Tokyo visit major hotspots and interact with other players who have shared a love for Pokemon and Japan alike.

  • So today we're going to hit some major hotspots such as Asakusa, Akihabara Siberia, major jingu shrine and we will end in Harajuku along the way, I'll give you guys some Pokemon go trainer chips, so let's go and catch some rare Pokemon and learn about Japan.

  • We start our Pokemon journey in Asakusa.

  • Asakusa is main attraction is in Sochi temple and the streets, give off a historic vibe, A sax a used to be, Tokyo's leading entertainment district between the 16 and 18,000,000 enjoy the food, the people and the incredible amount of Pokemon school Yeah, my, my Mhm what do you think that might want to love your body Grace, is there someone's house, you know, I don't know if this was a kindergarten, Canada still still, I want to go to this kindergarten, I love that our tour guide can I played the game with us.

  • She taught us so much about this place and all the great places to eat and drink.

  • This is much to and in Japan this is very famous, much as like a powder that you put in a drink and it's very good for you and it's my favorite.

  • So I'm excited to drink it.

  • I was once, it's sweet, it's not better.

  • It's sweet and delicious before you enter the temple you must purify yourself.

  • Take the metal cup, rinse your left hand, right hand, take a sip but spit it out, then wash the handle far fetched, maybe it's different in japanese.

  • I'm not sure the name in japanese but far fist is the exclusive Pokemon in japan so you can't find it anywhere else in the world but in Japan.

  • So I'm hoping to catch a harvest.

  • Our tour guide taught us so much about the temple things that I didn't even know.

  • It was great to have somebody who knew so much about these places.

  • So here's a trainer, trainer tip for you guys.

  • So there's a Pokemon in the temple right now and you want to take a picture over here by the shrine, you can turn this off the er off and then move to your location over here where you want to take the picture.

  • So in front of the shrine or the temple and you can turn the A.

  • R.

  • On and it'll be right where you want to take a picture so you can take a picture with the camera right here.

  • Mhm and then go back and capture it.

  • It's really cool that you can take lots of pictures of the Pokemon you see at the best tourist spots in Tokyo.

  • You can also get your fortune by shaking a metal box with sticks in it.

  • The sticks had numbers carved on them and that determined what your fortune was.

  • Yeah, I already have the fortune is in a couple different languages including english, like a good fortune.

  • It's not the best fortune but it's good people that had bad luck, tied the paper to these ropes.

  • After messing around a little bit more, we decided to head to our next destination but not before my eggs started to hatch.

  • One of my eggs are hatching and it's really cool because on this tour we'll do a lot of walking if you are hatching eggs, please go on this tour because you'll be walking a lot and we're only in the beginning of the tour.

  • So one egg hatch check.

  • It's a brutal, brutal in japanese is then you come in but in english it's Squirtle.

  • So okay.

  • Mhm AKI Shibata, the electronic district of Japan.

  • This place was overflowing with manga and anime goods along with cheap electronic parts and pricey collectibles, there's lots of cosplayers walking around and maid cafes and all sorts of really cool things that you can find here.

  • AKI Obata was full of lures and I even hatched another egg.

  • Mhm And this one is a parking spot and then in this ledger back and there are so many shops of the manga anime, those and hobbies and also you can find many figures of an event.

  • That's your take on is one of the hotspots of Akihabara.

  • It's an indoor street lined with shops full of cheap electronic goods.

  • The street is very narrow and in order for the managers to get into their shop, they have to go through this small door.

  • We came across a gotcha gotcha museum where you can get lots of small souvenirs for cheap.

  • Okay, senior, I had a little bit of trouble trying to open the gotcha.

  • Gotcha.

  • It turned out to be a ditto type of look at you and he could walk.

  • So cute.

  • Don't forget to play some of the games in the game centers.

  • They're everywhere.

  • Yeah, Don Quixote, which is another popular shopping spot.

  • This Donkey ho day had a lot of different types of kitty cats such as raspberry cheesecake green tea.

  • Okay, we cut lots of really rare Pokemon.

  • So we looked at them on the way to our next destination.

  • Mhm I'm excited.

  • I really love sushi.

  • So that's a great part of my japanese food.

  • We were really hungry.

  • So, our next location was Shabana, the shopping district of japan.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay, so this is your question building more 90 Yaskawa.

  • So inside of the reason there are so many.

  • I shocked me to sell the women florist, Yankee Sushi is a popular and cheap sushi restaurant to eat at.

  • This is called chitin sushi which literally means rolling sushi.

  • You can, you can change into the english king at this particular chain.

  • You can order what you want from a tablet and the sushi will roll right to you.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Each plate is about 108 yen.

  • And really fresh good.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Green tea is readily available at your table.

  • If you're vegetarian, you can come here and order like vegetable sushi.

  • So this is like eggplant.

  • They also have egg.

  • So there's all kinds of different types of vegetables that you can get.

  • That's sushi catch Pokemon while waiting for your food.

  • You might see something rare.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay, so if you want to get more experience, you can do this little roller thing and it's like a curveball.

  • I'm really bad at it.

  • I'm so full.

  • This was so good.

  • And it's actually really cheap.

  • And when you go on this tour, you have to bring your own money for lunch.

  • But this place is cheap enough to eat where it's definitely affordable during this tour.

  • So after you eat, you can check out the famous shibuya crossing where tons of people can be seen crossing the street.

  • It's madness.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm Hachiko statue which represents the true tale of a loyal dog who patiently waited for his master to return home for nine years.

  • Even when he had passed away from an unfortunate medical condition, he still waited for his master to return home.

  • I recently caught the live action movie on netflix.

  • Yeah, can I told me there was another statue that was recently made in front of Tokyo University of Hachiko the dog and his master for uniting.

  • I then realized that Hachiko and Shibuya is a popular meeting spot in the city.

  • Hachiko waited for his master just like these people are patiently waiting for their friends.

  • Very interesting.

  • Take pictures with Hachiko and enjoy the city atmosphere and don't forget to catch some rare Pokemon around here too.

  • So it's summer vacation now and look how crowded it is.

  • My goodness!

  • Okay, so we are headed to you right now.

  • I really like how did you do it so cool.

  • It's very colorful and lots of people here.

  • It's just a fun place to be.

  • We're going to Maajid jingu shrine which is our next destination on this tour.

  • So we'll go check it out and see what they have there.

  • Yeah, Major jingu shrine was first built in the 1920s and represents a major period in which Japan became westernized.

  • It's going to take this idiot.

  • Okay, you can try before shutting the gate and well you know this makes about okay, this shrine is associated with the religion of Japan shintoism can I had a lot of interesting facts about this place but I don't want to reveal too much.

  • Mm hmm, mm hmm.

  • Yeah.

  • The shrine entrance is lined with stock and wine barrels.

  • It is said that gods drink from these sort of like offerings so much art.

  • Mhm Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • Okay.

  • Mm.

  • Yeah, this is a popular spot for New Year's.

  • People make wishes on these wooden boards which are eventually burned as the dreams and wishes are released into the air is smoke.

  • Yeah, yeah, praying is a little bit different from the sun.

  • So ji temple in Asakusa.

  • So we just got done praying at the shrine and I love this place because it's very relaxing and peaceful and there's just a nice atmosphere here.

  • A lot of tourists.

  • But um yeah, I really enjoy it here.

  • This is probably one of my favorite places to be in Japan and you can catch a lot of Pokemon.

  • So there's an app you can get called p go search and I think you can get it wherever you are or it might just be Japan but there's another website called pok vision so you can check what Pokemon are in each place is before you go.

  • You should check it out.

  • How did you cou and major jingu shrine and Yoyogi Park which is all in the same area is the best place for Pokemon has the rarest Pokemon.

  • It's very interesting here.

  • So I think if you guys, I wanted to walk around more, you could go to Yoyogi Park or go to Harajuku and check out the Pokemon that they have there.

  • And I think that's probably your best bet.

  • So, we finished our Pokemon tour and it was a lot of fun.
