  • Hello everyone, I am showing up as my authentic self here.

  • I'm actually in the middle of working on something really incredible and new for my members and my membership, I just launched it.

  • So I'm really excited.

  • It's for people who are aspiring or early stage entrepreneurs who want to learn the strategies to attract the right customers, clients, followers and create content that speaks to people because I've been doing this for seven years, creating content, um showing up authentically and sharing my voice and my story and I know what I have to offer and a lot of you guys don't know this.

  • But I started a Sort of business about four years ago I hired a brand coach and he was kind of guiding me and creating this business surrounding helping and teaching people how to use social media.

  • After doing some soul searching, I realized that, you know, it's not only about the strategy, it's about the mindset, it's about your voice about storytelling and that's what got me where I am today and that's what got me the followers and all that stuff and it's just been such a passion of mine to share that.

  • But ultimately I felt a lot of resistance.

  • The business was actually called Pink Socialites.

  • Maybe some of you guys know, I was starting to come out with that.

  • I had a second Youtube channel and I was about to upload a couple things.

  • I think I did upload a couple of things and then I deleted the page.

  • Um it's definitely not there anymore, but I did have a page called Pink social social rights for women who wanted to grow their brand and learn how to influence, become an influencer.

  • Ultimately, I realized that it wasn't that I wanted to help people become an influencer.

  • It was more about sharing my expertise surrounding content creation and that's what I love.

  • I love filming, I love uploading content and just creating, creating, creating, it's just, it gives me so much love, uh, love and passion, but I know based on this title, everybody has been, is a little confused.

  • Um, it took a lot for me to make this decision and it's something that I'm just not inspired to do anymore and that's okay.

  • I think back then, four years ago when I wanted to start a business, I think that was a part of who I truly was wanting to come out and I felt the resistance around me.

  • So naturally I felt the resistance within and I feel like for anybody that's wanting to change their mind or change their path or do something completely different.

  • That's ultimately the reason why people don't do it is because someone, you know, comes in with a what if or um, but you love this and why are you quitting or making you feel a little bit guilty and ashamed?

  • And then there's, you know, other people, strangers online that will tell you or be shocked or, you know, not really be furious, but have a sort of like disappointment in a way, there's a lot of people that show up online and um do that and then it ought to ultimately create some form of resistance within a person.

  • And then they don't end up changing And doing what they want to do.

  • And that kind of sucks.

  • You know, YouTube has brought so much joy and excitement into my life and I back then I was able to focus wholeheartedly on it.

  • People don't realize how much work goes into a video.

  • It can take up 1-2 weeks.

  • If you're very skilled at editing to create a video, it takes all of your time, takes all of your energy, especially for what I do.

  • I do vlogs.

  • I do like, you know, b roll and voiceovers and things like that.

  • And that's what I feel makes a really great video.

  • The storytelling aspect of it of course, sit down videos and sharing information and value is also wonderful Two, but that still takes an extra about of editing and sitting down and you're on the computer all the time.

  • And recently my husband and I went on a trip to uh an own son town and it was beautiful and I loved it.

  • But I was constantly switching between cameras and social media like instagram and things like that and I couldn't be present, couldn't be there.

  • I felt like it was taking a lot of my energy and I wasn't able to fully recharge or enjoy it.

  • And it's been like that for seven years, whenever I went out, whenever I went on a trip, whenever I did anything, I always had a camera, I had a camera in my face.

  • It just, I don't even know what it's like to not be on Youtube when you're uploading.

  • I've uploaded consistently every single week for seven years and I learned a lot and I'm glad I did it.

  • I learned a lot as an influencer, I learned a lot as a marketer, I learned a lot um growing and evolving with social media, I've learned so many skills and so much about sharing your story and your voice and showing up authentically doing what you love and creating the content and just knowing what it takes to speak to somebody um and grow organically and that was something that I learned and I loved and enjoyed and now I've got the mindset right, have the tools to live a purpose led lifestyle and to become my true self and honest self and that's what I taught, you know, launching my business and I slowly started inching towards teaching other people now currently business and branding, that's what I love and I'm teaching people the business aspect of it because I think growing a business and brand is so much more impactful and profitable than relying on brands all the time, that's just my personal opinion, I think people who are thriving as influencers are so incredible and they are strong and they work so hard and they put themselves out there in photos and you know, working with brands, it's that easy, you have to go back and forth, you have to, you know, retouch things and re edit things when they don't like it and things like that, that naturally just wasn't the life for me, especially relying on that wasn't the life for me and now that I have been working from home for a year and thriving in my own online business.

  • Um, I want to teach other people to do that too as well as the personal branding side of it, which is sharing your true self, your purpose, your voice, your passions using japanese mindset methods in there, you know day to day life so that they can show up authentically and speak to people and allow their content to become contagious in a way and that's my passion and that's my calling right now and I thought about leaving Youtube because I also want to have a family and I don't intend on blasting my Children on Youtube.

  • Um, I definitely will be posting about that on instagram.

  • I think instagram is uh, I don't know a cleaner place, I don't know how to explain that, but youtube is a very, youtube can be a hot mess, so I just feel very comfortable not posting on youtube about my kids and that's really not the point um, I also don't want to be posting about Japan, there's so much content out there already, there's so many creators that are already doing it um, and they have, they're doing such an amazing job and there's so much information that has already been done, a lot of the stuff that you need to know about moving or living here is already online, all you have to do is google it.

  • Um, so it's, it's something that just, I wasn't genuinely interested in and I was before thinking that I wanted to do it because I felt the resistance outside of me and not, and naturally I would feel it with, within me, like I said, um, so I kept reverting back to Japan, Japan, Japan and it just wasn't what I wanted to do and I was actually planning on setting up the whole thing and making a whole video just with lighting and perfect, but this is just, this is something that I really want to get off my chest and I just want to end it indefinitely.

  • Um, who knows in the future I could come back, but I'm going to be focusing more on instagram.

  • I'll be posting mostly on instagram, I'll be posting on HGTV stories, posts, um really getting creative with content on there.

  • Um, there's a few secrets that instagram is coming out with and I'm actually very hopeful for it and I think it's going to blow up instagram is a powerhouse and there's a lot that's coming that nobody's going to see coming.

  • So, um, this is from the inside of uh instagram, I know somebody who has worked closely with them, so I'm excited for what's to come and that's not the reason why I wanted to leave.

  • It was just that now I'm doing podcasting, which you can find my podcast, it's called the Guy empowerment podcast that's linked down below if you want to hear more from me there.

  • So podcasting instagram, I'll be repurposing content on Tiktok of course, um, and my facebook groups and programs that is a lot.

  • Um, I could repurpose some videos and things like that on um, Youtube of course, but it's just not aligned with me anymore.

  • It's not what I want to do right now.

  • It was a very hard decision to quit because Youtube has become such an addiction and a lot of people are addicted to it.

  • They're addicted to the numbers, they're addicted to uploading consistently, which by the way, you do not have to upload consistently to be successful.

  • Um, there's a lot of creators that aren't celebrities that post once a month and get millions of views.

  • There's a lot of misunderstandings of what youtube is about and how to grow on it.

  • Most of my viral content has gone viral on the most random days and times it doesn't matter about upload scheduling.

  • I feel like the algorithm is just non existent, it's just how you feel and what you put into the work for those of you who want to start a channel really don't fixate on the upload schedule, don't fixate on the numbers.

  • You can get there by being your authentic self and sharing your story and documenting, documenting is very important.

  • Um, anybody can be a textbook.

  • So you want to share your story, you want to be authentic, you want to show up as your authentic self online.

  • It's the number one thing that gets people to follow you because they love you and I learned that through Youtube and I'm glad that I did because now I can put that into all my other content and share how to do that and how to build that up for other people.

  • And that's what I'm moving towards now.

  • I just don't feel aligned with it anymore.

  • And I'm not judging myself, but like I said, this has been a very scary decision to make because I've been doing it for so long and it's become a part of my identity.

  • It's almost like I'm going back and forth in a relationship and that's why I called this title.

  • I'm breaking up with you too because it's almost like you're in this relationship and you don't know whether to leave it or not.

  • And it hasn't been really good to you, I guess.

  • And I'm not saying that because of any comments or my view is going down or anything like that.

  • I could care less.

  • Um but I feel like it's just my time to go towards a new chapter in my life and I am stronger and it makes things easier when you know yourself, you know who you are, you know your purpose.

  • Um and that's why I created the guy lifestyle courses because I use these tools today to do what I'm doing and to make the right decisions for myself and you can do that too.

  • I share that with you in that course.

  • If you want to know your purpose, if you want to know which path is right for you, you're lost, you're confused, You don't know what you want to do with your life or with your current situation.

  • This is the course for you because I'm making the strong decision decision and choice because I have the knowledge and the tools to do that I understand myself inside and out, and that's what's so important when it also when it comes to building a business, um and a personal brand, you have to make those decisions, you have to be strong, you have to hold your ground, you have to do what you want to do because there's no rules in content creating or business.

  • There never was people just make stuff up and then you go online and you see all of this The stuff and consume it and it's just so overwhelming and frustrating and I want to make it easier on people.

  • So that's my mission now and I feel like my life in my 20s, um you know, has been leading me up to this moment in my life and for those of you who are wondering if I'm going to delete any videos?

  • No, there's still gonna be there.

  • This channel is going to be up for you to consume if you haven't watched them all.

  • This is my, I've worked very hard to build this channel and it's my memories and I'm probably going to watch them all again and just look at myself now and just be so proud because these are my accomplishments, my ups and downs, the stresses, all of this is a part of me and it's the reason why I'm branching out into this teaching world to help others, so to end this, if you want to see my face more, I'll be again on instagram, Tiktok and podcast.

  • Second of all, I do have a couple prerecorded videos um that I have to upload for certain brands, but also some valuable content that I'll be sharing, so you'll see a couple videos still this month and you'll see one next month and I think after that I will be done.

  • Um so you'll see a couple a little bit more of the content for me coming up, um what else?

  • So here is how you can work with me if you're interested in entrepreneurship, growing a business and personal brand, I have a membership that's open, it's one times weekly masterclass, guest speakers discounts, a community to bounce your ideas off of um incredible value, prizes and things like that, I'm going to be focusing more on my membership and providing value for those people that is down below, you can join.

  • Second of all I have of course the guy lifestyle, of course that I've been working on for so long and I'm launched, relaunching it, as to point out if you're interested in finding your path and your purpose that is for people who are completely lost and wanting to add that to their life and build a life that's there is instead of living based off of somebody else and going after their dreams, listening to their inner voice, this is a toolbox of things that you can use throughout your life, it's not an ending journey, this is just everything that I use in my life to get to where I'm at, and it's obviously I'm living proof um so that is launching soon in april and I'll be coming out with more content, creation, branding type courses and content.

  • I also have a one on one mentorship that I have two beautiful clients and there's one more space left before the price goes up, so if you're serious about it, I will share with you everything, I will teach you how to build your business from the ground, the ground up, personal branding, all of that stuff, I can help you with that.

  • So, mentorship done below one on one, coaching membership down below Iki guy lifestyle course down below.

  • Um, and I have some freebies, I have the 21 day reset, which is also available on my website, so you can go there and yeah, that's, that's it.

  • I don't know what else to say.

  • It feels really weird.

  • Making this video yeah, it's just, it needs to be done.

  • Like this has to be, not have to cut ties because I'm just going to go back to it If I don't cut cut ties now, if I don't do it now today I was going back and forth.

  • Well maybe I should do it.

  • Maybe I shouldn't.

  • No, no, that's my head, my addiction to youtube that's just ringing in my ears and I just can't anymore.

  • Anyway, it's, I have to let you go.

  • I love you all and I want to thank you for your support and everything, especially the people who have continued to show up and follow me.

  • Um, I really appreciate it.

  • And um yeah, again, I'm not gone.

  • So follow me on instagram at kelly morita san and I'll see you in the next prerecorded videos.

Hello everyone, I am showing up as my authentic self here.
