  • sponsored by magical trip.

  • In this video, I'm going to share with you.

  • My top things to do in Tokyo for couples.

  • Mm hmm.

  • So there's actually so many things to do for couples in Tokyo and in this video, I want to break it all down.

  • But to be honest with you, one of the best things to do for couples is just to go to a random station and just explore.

  • Because it's just like so many cool little things to do here in Tokyo.

  • In fact, you can use my other street food video.

  • Is there other guys just kind of like explore around Tokyo?

  • But today you're probably looking for something a little bit more specific.

  • What we're gonna do is show you some specific spots where you can go and take your partner, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your wife or your husband and just have like a really chill time.

  • But before I start, if you guys want to help support the channel, then definitely check out the paolo from Tokyo merch.

  • And recently I started a discord channel for people who love Japan or if you're coming to Japan and you have questions.

  • It's a place where you can connect online, share information and get your questions answered.

  • I'll be sure to leave a link in description.

  • So definitely check that out.

  • And what better way to start than this spot right here.

  • Disneyland resort in Tokyo.

  • Alright, Without further ado, let's do this number seven.

  • Tokyo.

  • Disneysea.

  • Disneysea is one of the all time.

  • Go to date spots for Japanese, especially young new couples And so I had to include it on this list.

  • Not only can you experience the magic of Disney, but compared to Disneyland, Disneysea offers alcoholic beverages throughout the entire park.

  • Perfect for couples to enjoy their visit a little bit more than the rest and I couldn't do this video without Michael.

  • It's a couple of things are going to take me to one of the funnest things to do here at Disneysea is actually go and get some snacks and what you'll find they have some character themed snacks that you can only get in japan, just like this chicken curry pond.

  • Look at that.

  • It's so cute.

  • Guys are not actually there.

  • That's actually pretty cool.

  • Right before you this, I want to say one thing you guys are actually looking for tips on actually coming here then already did a separate video on that.

  • So I'll leave a link in the description like always, let's try this out.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah, mm That's good but has a green curry right there.

  • It's not even like spicy at all.

  • Kind of just like a very like light tea mccurry or the bread.

  • It's nice and like a chewy and soft.

  • I like it.

  • It's really nice to you.

  • Let's see what's in here, wow, look at that has a regular pork inside.

  • That's cool.

  • So you got like, dude, come on in one.

  • So after enjoying a few attractions and taking down some fun character themed snacks and maybe a couple of beers or seasonal cocktails at the casual restaurants.

  • I recommend hitting up one of the fine dining spots like S.

  • S.

  • Columbia diner be warned though, seats of fine dining restaurants are hard to come by.

  • So I strongly recommend making a reservation a week in advance, especially if you're taking that special someone.

  • Uh huh.

  • What do you think of this place?

  • Like it's my second favorite.

  • Yeah, me too.

  • I mean this is nice enough.

  • No offense.

  • Also, the fine diners at Disneysea offers set courses since we're in november, they had a christmas set which came with an appetizer, a main dish and a dessert.

  • Oh, alright.

  • Dinner has arrived and I actually ate a little bit already but well, so I got the roast beef which is 240 g might go on the other hand, decided to get the roast beef and the lobster.

  • So you can actually get lobster at disneysea here, which is not a bad deal.

  • So if I got the food, I've got the beers, he's already had a couple.

  • I think it's like third one.

  • This becoming an awesome trip here at Disney.

  • See make sure to stay until the night because the night view of disease C.

  • Is also worth sharing with your date number six lunch overlooking sky tree.

  • So right now we're in a Tobu hotel at King's Cross station and I don't think anyone's ever done a video at this location.

  • So I wanted to show you this particular spot because it has one of the most amazing views, the sky tree and like the Tokyo city sky scape.

  • In fact, you come here in the evening but we decided to show you during the day so you can kind of see exactly how it looks like with all of the buildings in front of sky tree.

  • But what's really important when making reservations for this place is that you make sure to reserve the window side seats so that you can have the sky tree view.

  • Otherwise you'll probably be in one of the tables behind me or on the other end here.

  • There's another set of tables that's facing the other way.

  • So you have to be based front checking out this scene where I'm sitting right now and mike goes here again, they might go, so what do you think of this?

  • Funny stuff for?

  • My God, I love it.

  • You can actually go to sky tree and have a nice meal like up on the, you know the floors, but you can see the sky tree.

  • So I actually do it from in here.

  • You can have a clear view here is like open space.

  • It's awesome.

  • So rent offers reasonable set meal lunches to traditional kaiseki courses and today I've ordered their most popular menu.

  • Son ran ju It comes with an appetizer soup, sashimi, a three level kaiseki bento box rice miso soup and dessert.

  • It comes with a little hat.

  • Yeah, you can see on the first level here, like a crab leg tempura underneath here, some tofu.

  • It looks like Margo yucky more tempura, some fish then on tier to have a baby which is shrimp and it's like some sort of fish cake in there.

  • Like if you have some wagyu in there, it's still a little bit uncooked but that's how we like.

  • It has been some Hiroshi here.

  • Yeah.

  • Hold it.

  • That's really, really welcome flavors are popping from this meat.

  • Laroche is kind of like a ponzu.

  • So it's a little bit citrusy number five moto Sando garden.

  • So this is my secret hidden local sweet spots that will definitely impress and that won't break the bank.

  • Doing so remotely Sando garden is a japanese theme cafe where you can find a unique blend of japanese sweets to share with your loved one.

  • Look at that time.

  • He seats excited.

  • Yeah, she loved this place already.

  • So this spot is actually in the back of back streets of Harajuku.

  • You're definitely going to need the google maps.

  • Think all event in the description because this place is just super, super hard to find basically.

  • It's a five different little like japanese style restaurants, kind of a food court.

  • Really, really cool date spot.

  • You can impress your girl, your man when you come here.

  • So one of the most interesting sweets here is the angels, cheer drop.

  • It's called the Shingen mochi in japanese and it's served with a soy bean powder and a black sugar sauce called kudo misa.

  • It's really, really watery.

  • And you can see right now it's almost like a balloon ready to pop.

  • Such a unique dessert.

  • And just looking at it even has some gold on top.

  • Let's take the first bite of this, wow, that's amazing.

  • It's just like a water balloon exploding in your mouth.

  • And the cuda Metoo when you like layered it on top and it just gives you like this really, really sweet and sugary punch.

  • And then you have like the dryness of the chemical but gives you like that kind of peanut butter taste.

  • But it's just like an unbeatable combination.

  • Mm And Michael got to meet Arashi dango said literacy dango are grilled rice cakes on a stick coated with sweet and salty sauces.

  • And here you can even cook up your own tiny dango.

  • And then they give you three different sauces.

  • In fact, you get to choose from maybe like 78 or nine different flavors.

  • But this one specifically is just like the plane should be like a sweet sauce and you get to dip it in just like this bam.

  • You got a coated mochi ball.

  • Mm Nice warm emoji.

  • And as a bonus treat, I wanted to share you with you guys.

  • The shop just right next to this shop actually serves a lotta tiramisu.

  • Let's dig into this tiramisu.

  • Look at that macho right there.

  • Mm mhm mhm course.

  • That is silky smooth and that match is strong.

  • It's a really, really strong macho green tea flavor.

  • All right.

  • Let me show you the next couple spot.

  • Number four team lab borderless.

  • So this next spot, Michael is actually a lot more excited than I am.

  • Yes, this one we have to put on the list because of this lady here.

  • You're gonna have fun.

  • I'm gonna have fun.

  • I might just be taking videos.

  • So this is our recommendation for a modern museum date spot.

  • Why just look at art when you can experience it.

  • There are two locations in Tokyo and today we're at the one in Odaiba in pallet town.

  • The tickets are often sold out.

  • So I suggest booking online in advance.

  • So we're walking around this balloon filled paradise of color, take it through.

  • Also, it gets very crowded in the afternoon, making it more challenging to take pictures.

  • So I recommend coming in the morning to avoid the crowds and damn.

  • I arrived in the afternoon on a weekday and this is what it looks like.

  • So in this video, I partner with magical trip, a service available all throughout Japan that introduces you to local guys that will take you on trips to find hidden gems all throughout Japan and today we're in ASakusa and they'll be taking me on a special tour around this area.

  • You guys know I love asakusa.

  • I've been here so many times.

  • You've done so many videos, so I'm excited to see what they have to show me today.

  • All right, let's go meet the local guide now.

  • Number three, A six, A cultural and street food walking tour.

  • Oh, there's Michael.

  • So, since Michael is usually behind the camera, you might not see her some of these times, but what she's here.

  • She's here.

  • So let's go meet the guide.

  • Hey, hi, Hello.

  • My name is Marina, Nice to meet you.

  • So what are we doing?

  • So we're going to have a look at you for three hours.

  • Let's have some fun.

  • All right, let's go.

  • So, the first thing we're gonna do on this tour is we're going to get on a rickshaw.

  • The rickshaw ride is quite a unique experience and a memorable couple photo opportunity.

  • Many of the drivers also speak english, which is nice as they can teach you local info along the way.

  • So what do you think Maiko on the romantic level right now.

  • 10.

  • Yes.

  • 77, wow.

  • Doesn't take much to get her to a seven experience.

  • This is a, this is a traditional japanese music.

  • Well, that was quite fun, right?

  • Usually it's quite expensive, but it's pretty nice.

  • That is included in the tour.

  • I don't know where we going next.

  • So we're looking our own sense.

  • Yeah, awesome.

  • Okay, we're smoking now after getting some local insights about Senso ji temple.

  • It's time to get some street food at Nokomis, which runs right in front of the temple.

  • We're going to have some street Yeah.

  • Which I'm doing curry today.

  • It's like really, really strange and unique.

  • All right.

  • So, we have all these different flavors.

  • Uh huh.

  • Didn't leave.

  • It's a little bit salty.

  • That's so good.

  • Check this out the fried curry Manju.

  • It's a bit of a fried heaven right now.

  • Yeah, that's good.

  • It's almost like a mini version of a curry pond.

  • Try it.

  • What do you think next?

  • We're going to have a Yeah, which isn't here.

  • All right there.

  • It's another cool thing about this tour is they take us to get some energy cuts.

  • Like that thing is this is actually in our top 10 street food videos.

  • So happy now, this will get me like a seven or 10.

  • Your romantic, my romantic level.

  • I could eat like seven of these.

  • Mm And to finish it off.

  • The local guide took us to a lunch spot for Mon jay AKI, which is a Tokyo downtown food specialty.

  • All right, so the manga has arrived.

  • We have some anti cohen there has some shrimp that has some cheese during the lunch.

  • The guy could even teach you how to make one.

  • Jackie and Okonomiyaki.

  • Perfect for foodies.

  • Number two.

  • Sushi Omakase.

  • A If you want to do something ultra fancy and memorable for your partner in Tokyo.

  • I recommend experiencing an Omakase course at a high end Sushi restaurant.

  • Oh Marcus a means to let the chef decide what to serve you.

  • So we're about to have an Omakase course here at Sushi You, it's a Michelin star restaurant so we're quite excited man, I just can't wait for the food to come just in case you don't know.

  • A high end Omakase course usually includes not only negate the sushi but also various appetizers to complement your alcoholic beverage before starting your main sushi.

  • Just got the shadow on my diet, looks like it has some horseradish on top.

  • It's a white fish.

  • This is like one of their original menu items.

  • What's on top is a caviar which is actually the original caviar that they've kind of like produced themselves, they have some money, they have some crab and then they have rice all on top of a seaweed wow, there's just so much flavor.

  • There is a company which is a very, very nice and creamy state.

  • The crab in there and the righteous kind of round it all out there like a slightly tinge of vinegar, wonderful combination.

  • Alright, so we're doing this one together.

  • Yes, this is a putting a mucky combat.

  • So it has some rice in there, it has a cucumber go first, so you doing couple's, he's going first positive Rich, let's see a sauce is a lot thicker than I expected it.

  • This is why are you going to come out and say this is the stuff you never ever try because you don't know what to order after plenty of appetizers and creative sushi time for the new GT.

  • Yeah, there's some fish that Michael can't eat.

  • So I eat it for we were served at different versions of tuna, bluefish, ricotta and honey rice and something.

  • I don't even know.

  • One thing to note.

  • Many sushi restaurants only allow reservations through hotel concierge services since cancelations by foreigners are high these days.

  • But you can use online sites, two books.

  • A shoe links in the description.

  • All right, so we're back in Jabalya, my home station.

  • I love this place and now we're joining a local guy for magical trip to take us on a bar hopping adventure and find some hidden gems here.

  • So I may actually know some of these places.

  • But for you guys who have never been to Shibuya, this is actually one of the best ways to experience Julia through the eyes of a local and number one shibuya bar hopping tour.

  • Nice to meet you.

  • So, where are we going today?

  • Okay, alright, cuba exciting.

  • Let's see this.

  • Our first stop is an Izakaya drinking restaurant.

  • Zacarias are sometimes difficult to go to since their menu items are all in japanese with no pictures.

  • So, having a local guide with you the first time is a great way to break into this Japanese culture.

  • Nothing like a cold beer and food and drinks are included at each spot.

  • I didn't know that I did while you drink.

  • The local guide will teach you about japanese drinking culture and even a little bit of background about Shibuya.

  • Now after the next spot, Nicu Yoko, one of my go to spots in Shibuya.

  • Mhm I love here.

  • So tell me about this place that we are.

  • I love this place a japanese and guess what?

  • We just ordered some meat.

  • So this year is while you, they just forged it and you can see it's been slightly cooked on top.

  • Kind of see the marbling still on the top of this meat and it looks so good and I believe just here they've salted it a little bit.

  • So I'm just gonna grab, sorry, the biggest piece of meat.

  • Ah the smell of love.

  • Oh that was delicious.

  • Hey, one thing you definitely need to try in Japan are the drinking games which are a trip, there's so many kinds but the local guide will be able to teach you some of them for the final destination.

  • The local guide will take you to a hidden sake bar that I've never been to until today.

  • Oh look at this view.

  • It's amazing that this is a really cool spot.

  • So not only do they take you to some cool spots here in Shibuya, what they give you some sake test sake tests.

  • Oh yeah, we're gonna teach you first before you take the test.

  • Oh you even have the material.

  • Yeah, like sense she'll teach you all the things you want to know about sake.

  • But maybe at this point you probably just want to enjoy the scene.

  • Mm that's nice.

  • This one's from deep Blue, which is pretty cool.

  • And I actually ordered like a smooth talking.

  • Like this is perfect for sake lovers just to taste all the different sake from different prefectures.

  • So what's also nice about magical trip is that they're booking website offers various types of small group tours by real locals in Tokyo Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima.
