Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles We love talking about the latest stationery, but today we're bringing it back to the basics! Here are 10 essentials from Japan that every stationary lover should own! Let us know, if you think we missed anything in the comments, and remember to like and subscribe to our channel for more videos like this. Ballpoint Pen Even if you don't own a Uni Jetstream, you've probably heard us talk about them before because let's be honest, we love them, that's all end of story. We can go home now. It's a standout among ballpoint pens. It boasts consistent ink flow thanks to its low viscosity, and it dries quickly! Because it dries so fast it's great for lefties! The Jetstream offers tip sizes from 0.28 mm to 1.0 mm. So there's a size for every one! Mine is 0.5 mm. Specifically in the Jetstream... in case anybody's wondering... Brush Pen There's a reason why the Pentel Fude Touch Sign Pen is one of our most popular brush pens, and it's been for a long time! Whether you're into calligraphy or art this pen can do it all! It features a durable brush tip that's great for beginners providing good control while allowing for varying line widths. Plus, it comes in an impressive palette of 24 vivid colors! Check out those greens... and the blues... and the purples! They're beautiful! Fineliner Pen If you know an artist we can guarantee they have some Sakura Pigma Micron Pens sitting around. They're the first fineliner pens for many young artists and for good reason! They feature archival ink, a large range of tip sizes, starting as small as 0.15 mm, and have a solid rainbow of colors to choose from! And they're waterproof! That's not even on this list! I'm adding it right now! The Sakura Pigma even come in brush and chisel tips! Really, honestly a stunning range of tip sizes from a really great pen! Personal recommendation here! Fountain Pen The best fountain pen can be pretty subjective, but you can't get any more basic than the Platinum Preppy. Not only is it super affordable and beginner friendly, it also packs a punch despite its low price tag! The preppy is easy to use, high quality, and offers an attractive design with several colors, and nib sizes. It's also low maintenance! The cap design prevents the nib from drying out even if it goes a year or longer without use. Pretty great! I own like three of these. Okay maybe two... but I would own three. Gel Pen You'd be hard-pressed to find a stationary nut who doesn't own a few Uni-ball Signos! After all they write smoothly, boast high quality ink, and come in a plethora of colors and multiple tip sizes! The Signo is the perfect everyday pen and they're especially popular with students! Highlighter We can't talk about highlighters without highlighting the Zebra Mildliner. [forced chuckle] It's the quintessential highlighter of choice for students and study-grammers. There are more than 20 fun colors to choose from, not to mention their convenient double-sided design that lets you highlight, underline, circle, and write notes with just one pen! If you like highlighters and don't own a mildliner, what are you waiting for?! Mechanical Pencil After you've used the Zebra DelGuard, you'll never go back to your old mechanical pencils! With a DelGuard it's virtually impossible to break your lead. It features a clever design that cushions your lead as you write. If you apply too much vertical pressure the lead slides back into the pencil instead of snapping. If too much sideways pressure is applied, the lead guard will extend to protect the lead. Super cool! And it works! Multi Pen Among all multi-pens, The Pilot Hi-Tec-C Coleto truly stands above the crowd. It combines the smooth, crisp performance of the original Hi-Tec-C gel pen, with the convenience of a multi pen. The Coleto is highly versatile you can choose from over 30 colors, as well-- Really?! 30 colors?! --as well as a mechanical pencil or eraser refill. And it comes in 2, 3, 4, or 5 component bodies. Student Notebook If you're a student, you definitely want to have the Kokuyo Campus Notebooks in your backpack! Aside from their silky smooth paper they feature an innovative dotted-rule sheet style that helps you write organized in evenly spaced notes, draw graphs, and align diagrams. If dotted-rule isn't your style, they also come in blank, graph, and regular lined styles. Unlike unwieldy binders, these notebooks are lightweight and easy to carry in a backpack. Not big on notebooks? No problem! Kokuyo Campus loose leaf paper is a must-have if you prefer binder systems. Try them with Kokuyo Campus Smart Ring Binder Notebooks.
