Subtitles section Play video Print subtitles Mhm Hi everyone and happy Halloween. I really messed up the question of the week this week. So here is an update. We have three words wreak to cause something wreak to smell bad and wreck to ruin something. I seriously don't know where my head was when I was making that video. It absolutely makes no sense. I apologize and thank you for all the kind comments helping me realize my mistake. So to say these words reek W R E A K. And wreak. R E. K are going to be pronounced the same way with the law E. Sound. And to make that long E sound, you just need to smile and make that vow all nice and long for wreck to ruin something. What we're going to do is use the short E. That a sound and to do that your mouth is going to be opened and relaxed and you're going to be seeing the tip of your tongue just between your teeth. Uh huh. Uh huh. My tongue is laughed for that that sound um And the back of the tongue is kind of pulled up on the sides and the back of the tongue is close to my top back teeth. So I uh for that short E. And then E. For that long E. And my tongue is really flat and really high for that long E. And my lips again are pulled back, tense and smiling. Now for the are you have two choices. The tip of your tongue is either pointed down or flipped back. It is not touching the teeth. Uh R. R. And then for the k tip of the tongue is down back of the tongue is pulled high up. Right, right. Rec. Rory three greek. So let's give them all a try. Reek Great greek. Reek! Reek! Reek rec Rec Rec. So help me out and give me a sentence in the comments below. Sorry for my casualness and uh for the mistake on friday's video. But happy Halloween, enjoy your day and I will be back next friday, hopefully with a better video. So, thanks everyone. Have a great week.
