We're back at Armature Works in Tampa florida.

We were here a few years ago when it first opened, we wanted to come back again one because candy is back in town in Tampa I believe it's been a few years already.

I know, yeah, it was 2018 when we did it and now it's 2021 yeah, we were just like, wow, time passes by so fast because well we decided to come back because actually a lot that's changed in those three years, surprisingly still a fantastic place.

But they did finally finish some construction that was under construction outside and that place looks amazing now.

Um they've updated and switched around some of the restaurants inside.

So there's still some of the restaurants there, there's new ones.

So yeah, we wanted to come back and kind of check out the new stuff.

Yeah, so some of the newer editions, um our Bacon Banes, which is a popular local dessert shop, they were at actually paul and franklin before and I believe they were also a food truck but they now have a spot of Armature works.

So this is where they have crazy desserts.

I've never had any other desserts but I think I'm gonna try one of their cookies because they looked really good.

Also buddy brew is here, which is a popular local copy in Tampa.

Uh they've been around for years and years and so it makes sense that they have a spot of armature works now.

It's so funny.

Every time I come to visit crystal, like I'm like, oh, there's a buddy brew there, there's a buddy brew and I've never even tried it.

So I think I'll finally try it today because I even have a high park village too.

So it really is everywhere in Tampa.

I feel like I'm going to try today Pippa's, which is mediterranean cuisine just looks really fresh and someone on the healthy side, I would say if you eat a lot of vegetables, but that's what I'm gonna try.

What are you gonna try?

I'm gonna try my charges, which is a new mexican joint that they have here.

I do like mexican food a lot.

It's very flavorful.

Always find things that I like on their menu.

So I'm excited about that one.

I just want to talk about some other editions that they have here they added.

Okay.

Noah, which is a full service dining restaurant.

I ate there one time with one of my friends and it was really great.

I actually had some vegetarian meals and I'm not even a vegetarian but I thought it was very flavorful and really good.

Another new edition they have here is m bird, which is a rooftop bar and restaurant.

Really awesome place.

It's not open right now so we can't show you.

But um, it's just go upstairs through the back and it's open usually in the afternoons from a weekdays from three p.m. And the weekends from 12 PM.

That's a really lively place.

A great views of the Hillsborough river from the top.

It was really pretty.

I took a little peek.

It was really nice.

One of the saddest things that they took away for me was each Karos because I really love their roman there and it was nice to come here to get some ramen.

But no, I love having ramen for lunch.

Yeah, because we love each quarter is a lot.

They have one in Tampa, they have one in ST pete and so we could still get each kudos elsewhere.

But it was nice to have it here.

Armature works too.

So really sad that they went away.

Um, Now come back.

Yeah, they replaced it with Ben taub, which were not really thrilled.

Okay.

We haven't tried it, but it looks more like chinese more than japanese, bento Is the japanese were, but when you look at the menu looked a lot more like chinese inspired dishes, which were more like, we like more of the japanese inspired where japanese.

So um, it's a little bit biased.

I know we are, but they still have the, still have pizza.

They still have Eva Orava.

Uh, I still don't know, Alpha sounds more nice.

Like as pristine.

I don't know.

They have the barbecue place.

They still have astro ice cream and mama's.

Yeah, because they said they don't have the rosemary fries anymore there last time I checked, yeah, I was here maybe six months ago and they didn't have my favorite rose.

My friends.

Really good.

Very disappointing.

Please bring it back.

They have Hemingway's Cuban.

So still like some regulars here, but some replacements because I think they like update it.

I don't even know every two years or so.

I think it's good to have changed too because you know, if you can come here all the time, we're gonna start getting sick of the same food that's not having a rotation.

Very different foods.

I would say for me, the biggest upgrade since I haven't been here in awhile is the outdoor space because that was under construction when I was here.

And man, it's gorgeous.

I wouldn't even come here just to relax.

Not even to eat anything just to enjoy the views.

They do yoga here, which I mean, I understand why this is such a great view and it's really spacious.

Um, They even have an event space inside, which they didn't have last time and I checked out the prices and it's very reasonably priced.

I was a little bit surprised about that because you would think it's really expensive because it's really nice.

Yeah.

Um and also in addition to the outside, they have outdoor bar there too, so yeah, we actually got drinks um there and just sat outside and watch the sunset, which is beautiful to do in Tampa of course for florida.

So it's the place to do it the last time we didn't mention parking, but I thought we should mention it.

Uh parking.

They have two big parking lots which ranges from $5 to $10, but they also have street parking that you can do on the weekends, it gets pretty busy, so you'll probably have to do the paid parking, but during the weekdays you could probably find some street parking.

I usually do.

Yeah, I just found street parking.

We came today, we came early today, I found parking with no problems.

And then you can also get here by scooter, they have a scooter station and coastal bikes which we've done before.

They have a station for that.

Also, there's like so many ways to get here.

You can arrive by boat, your own boat or by taxi boat that they have in Tampa.

So, lots of options, lots of transportation options.

So there's no excuses if you don't have any type of transportation.

All right, well, I think we're gonna go inside now and get something to eat.

Yeah.

Mhm.

Me.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah, mm hmm.

Okay.

I got street tacos one with chicken and the other with carnitas.

And then I got um just cheese and guacamole with it.

But they did have other toppings that just I didn't feel like having the other toppings.

So I kept it kind of plane.

It looks pretty good.

It was actually really popular.

There was already a line forming right when they opened at 11.

So it must be good.

How is it?

Crystal?

It's really good.

So what did you get?

Candy?

I got the chicken pita and you're supposed to hear like a sandwich.

A little messy.

So it's a huge, it was so much in there.

I know, I couldn't close it.

It's good.

Okay, A cookie, wow, wow, this is actually really good.

Um give it to you more to, which is the best part is a foodie couples.

But they have like chocolate chip too.

All right, so we have some good food.

I really liked muchachos.

It's very popular.

Candy.

Really liked her.

The mediterranean.

I had the chicken pita.

Chicken is really flavorful.

I love the fresh tomatoes and onions and the Tzatziki sauce.

I think that's what it is.

But yeah, I really liked sandwiches like that.

So yeah, I really enjoyed it.

And the street tacos is what I got and that was really good.

But they actually have a specialty one too that everybody was getting.

So I would try that because I just got something really playing that's just how I roll.

But they actually have other options to that seems really really good and really popular because by the time I got there at 11 when it opened the line was already it's pretty much like there was like 10, 15 people already.

So very very popular.

Um And then after that I got a cookie at bacon babes and it's delicious.

I got the foodie pebbles cookie and it's the best part about it is that it comes out warm.

I wonder if like it's always warmer.

You just got lucky that because they have like an oven or like you know like warmer oven where they pull it out.

Fantastic.

But they have other crazy desserts that I cannot do.

Um If you go on their instagram and check them out if you like that kind of stuff.

It's awesome.

I mean it's great instagram photos but I just I can't even eat it so I don't get it.

But their cookies are fantastic.

So that was our day here.
