  • The reason you're not getting straight A's has nothing to do with your intelligence,

  • and everything to do with your study strategies. Here's how.

  • First, focus on active learning methods rather than passive ones. It will feel more challenging

  • initially, but that means it's working, and what you learn will actually stick.

  • Second, ensure your environment is conducive to learning. Minimize distractions and study

  • solo or in small groups, meaning with only 1 or 2 other people.

  • Third, pace yourself by forcing 25 minute blocks of intense focus followed by 5 minutes

  • of break. This is the Pomodoro technique.

  • Fourth, use practice questions from the very beginning and review them thoroughly, not

  • just to check whether you got the answer right or wrong. This is an insanely powerful study

  • tool.

  • And fifth, use spaced repetition with active recall to consolidate and memorize information.

  • And use the Feynman technique to memorize challenging concepts.
