  • sam suitcase has just about had it reading some chili.

  • We made it guys.

  • You made it chilly.

  • Good morning, Good morning people.

  • How are you doing today?

  • Good morning.

  • It is a travel day for us.

  • It is we're hopping over to chile.

  • Yeah.

  • I got to admit unexpected.

  • We didn't have plans to go to chile when we first were planning this.

  • No we didn't.

  • But then it turns out it's a very convenient way to get to Ushuaia.

  • Yeah.

  • Plus we get to see some of Chilean Patagonia.

  • Exactly.

  • There's actually some say it's one of the nicest parts of Patagonia.

  • Some say we'll find out.

  • Right.

  • So yeah we have a long travel day.

  • We are catching the bus here in El Chilton to L three hours.

  • A little bit of a wait.

  • A two hour wait.

  • And then we transferred to Puerto six more hours including border crossing time.

  • Yes.

  • So yeah it's just a full day on the bus, basically.

  • Three hours plus two waiting.

  • That's five plus another six.

  • So yeah, talking about 11 hours of bus time.

  • That's a lot of math.

  • We'll be getting their attempt, Yeah, we're checking out here at 10 and we're catching our bus at 11.

  • So we do need to hurry.

  • It's check out time and we'll update you from the bus station.

  • Bring you along for the ride.

  • Indeed.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • We got soaked.

  • So what, Like what?

  • Yeah, we probably should have brought the umbrellas, but we thought, Oh, it's just two blocks just like it is, yeah, it's howling right now.

  • So yeah, we're just waiting to catch the bus should be here in 15, 20 minutes.

  • That's the update.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Mhm Okay.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Mm.

  • Do it.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm Yeah.

  • Sam suitcase has just about had it should come off the wheel has come off guys a keen to get back in.

  • That's not how it's supposed to go further than that and there we go.

  • We just needed to roll to the restaurant.

  • Yeah.

  • I actually have a tool in my suitcase should be able to use to screw that on tighter look it's not working great but well that's funny.

  • Let me let me know me mm.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah.

  • Hello?

  • Oh my greetings from chilly.

  • We made guys, you made chili welcome welcome.

  • Here we are.

  • What?

  • The second bus rape was outstanding wasn't it That beautiful?

  • Very very scenic.

  • Let me tell you.

  • Going from El kala Fatah to Puerto palace, yep, beautiful ride, totally beautiful.

  • Right?

  • We saw an abundance of Warnaco although innocuous in the world and the Hindus they're like ostriches but a little bit smaller.

  • I don't know if I was able to film them, but they pass it and then they start running off like that.

  • They got triggered by the vehicle with a delayed reaction.

  • They were delayed to react.

  • They were just starting off in the distance, but it was a good ride.

  • No stops for food.

  • Hey?

  • So if you're thinking like, oh you know, I don't need to pack a snack because we'll be stopping at a gas station or like a pit stop.

  • Nothing of the sort.

  • Yeah.

  • So you know, I think you're telling me is $22 per ticket, $22 per person.

  • And a good chunk of, I would say a good chunk of that, but at least a considerable amount of time is immigration.

  • And so we first went through the argentines part.

  • It was a beautiful, it looked more like an Estancia, didn't it?

  • Yeah.

  • I thought we were driving into an A standard to be honest we turned down a dirt road.

  • I'd love I'd love to be the border security working there.

  • What a great gig that is.

  • Seriously and that was a breeze.

  • You just, we just went in with our passport, they stamp them, got back on the bus, we drove down a little bit more a rural road and then once we got to the Chilean side it became paved.

  • We went to the Chilean immigration to come out with her backpacks.

  • Not your luggage though, not like your checked luggage that goes in the storage.

  • They just opened up the doors, they brought a sniffer dog and like let them climb in and go around.

  • So the master of security was a dog.

  • I think the dog ended up picking it like three or four suitcases so it was definitely working, doing his job but it looked friendly to was wagging his little tail.

  • I'll be happy dog guys, we've got food in our mind.

  • We saw a restaurant a few blocks away.

  • Whoa, let's go eat.

  • Yes, we haven't had dinner yet.

  • Let's go and do this.

  • Do this.

  • Yeah.

  • Uh huh.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Well guys, we went in search for dinner and we came to the restaurant we had driven past earlier, one of the few in the area that's still open at 10 PM and guess what?

  • It turns out?

  • It's a sushi place.

  • How long are we?

  • We love?

  • So we got some Sushi, a 32 piece, like assorted Sushi train and half a portion of a ceviche made with salmon we asked for, it's spicy, it's got red onions, pepper, cilantro.

  • Oh my that my dear sushi coming.

  • Amazing guys is my favorite time.

  • Time to devour some sushi.

  • All right.

  • I have to say Chilean.

  • Sushi is some of the best I've had in the world outside of japan.

  • I remember when we were traveling in chile, we had almost every destination we went to.

  • Yeah, we sure did.

  • I'm gonna start with my favorite salmon, avocado cream cheese.

  • Oh yeah, bit of, so it's awesome musubi.

  • Oh what a fine.

  • We had no idea.

  • We've been going out for sushi tonight.

  • That's amazing.

  • Amazing.

  • First meal here in chile.

  • Oh are we in this o r in this?

  • We're tired.

  • That was delicious.

  • Food delicious.

  • My goodness!

  • What a wonderful surprise!

  • I did not think I would be having the sushi for dinner.

  • So I was very happy girl.

  • I think to Sushi came to about 20 bucks.

  • The salmon was really, really cheap.

  • I think it was like $6, for the salmon.

  • Yeah, that was the half portion, half portion And then with the bottled water.

  • So I think we just, we had a very affordable meal, there is something dollars and I think we scarfed it down in like 15 minutes.

  • We were not messing around.

  • There are so many people that were already dining before us who are we're still dining When we left, we were in and out.

  • We were in and out because we need to sleep by the way.

  • So what time is it?

  • Oh my God, it's almost 11 30.

  • This is probably, yeah, we've been we've been at it since, well our first bus was at 11, so yeah, it's time for bed, but tomorrow it's gonna be great.

  • We'll give your first impressions of the town, we're gonna go out for breakfast.

  • I think we'll show you the rooms and we'll also probably have some really good food.

  • I think tomorrow is meant to be quite rainy and so I think we're going to go around and just find out some of the different options for visiting the national park nearby.

  • And we're also going to have a Skype date with her family speaking.

  • We've been kind of off the grid for a while.

  • It's time to check in time to check in, let them know we're still alive and yeah, we're just looking forward to a good sleep.

  • So I hope you guys enjoyed this journey and we've got a solid week in chile and we'll be making an episode every day.

  • So I hope you'll check that out.

  • Good night.
