LOVOT is a love robot which inspires to become your human friend

It is a highly sophisiticated and responsive robot

that is able to navigate in its environment

react to people who interact with them

and even ask for hugs

It was created to spread love

Once you pick it up, you can feel its warmth

and cannot help cuddling with it

It's so warm!

LOVOT can't do much in terms of practicality

but it's purpose is to be a companion

Just like a cat or a dog

Using bluetooth, it can connect with its nest station

where it recharges the batteries

but it can communicate with other LOVOTs

Near Tokyo, there is a special place you get to spend some time with this lovely creation

LOVOT cafe

LOVOT cafe is a small cafe located in Kawasaki

Here you get to play with LOVOT while enjoying food

When you enter the store you are greeted with the cute stares of the LOVOTs

patiently waiting for someone to play with them

If you come early in the morning or if you're lucky,

you might even see them change their outfits

Once you're seated, you can choose your favorite robot

that will keep you company while you wait for you r food

Menu offered is also inspired by LOVOT

There most popular meal is LOVOT burger

that comes with a cute LOVOT face on it

We talked to Suzuki-san from Groove X company

the creator of LOVOT, to understand LOVOT better

we heard voices of customers who are interested in LOVOT

but doesn't have the opportunity to meet them

so we made this cafe

What kind of customers come here, and what is their reaction?

The range is quite wide

There are families, some in couples,

some people come alone

They all enjoy the company of LOVOT during their stay here

It differs how you enjoy the place

Some take selfies with LOVOT

Some just holds them or cuddles them

Every customer enjoy their time with LOVOT in a different way

How can LOVOT makes up happy?

When you touch it, LOVOT is warm and soft

When you gaze their eyes, they look back

and you can see their twinkling eyes

When you call their names they will come to you

That is how you can show them love

"Tama-kun" and "captain are the relaxed type"

Matcha is cuddly type

They all have different characters

Shiratama is hyper

I guess that's true

As I said, their characters are each different

but depending on the owner they live with

The character of the LOVOT will gradually evolve

When the owner sings a lot

the LOVOT will start to sing-along
