  • wow!

  • Isn't mother nature?

  • Beautiful.

  • I think I just ate a mosquito.

  • Oh my gosh, this backpack is so heavy.

  • Hi, my name is Patricia Go Nia.

  • I'm an intersection.

  • Environmentalist, frequently somber.

  • Human professional, homosexual ak drag queen.

  • And tonight you're going to bed with me.

  • So let's go.

  • Yeah.

  • Hello.

  • So welcome to my crib aka a tent.

  • You are in the back country with me because yes, I do drag, but I do drag in the outdoors and I do it as a means of advocating for our one true queen, Mother nature.

  • So here we are And I have to take £2.75 of makeup on my face.

  • So first we're gonna snatch this, we've.

  • and now we're gonna get into something more comfortable.

  • Oh, so much better.

  • Okay, let's dive in.

  • So this is going to be experienced for you, for me, for the bear that's probably going to eat me later in the woods.

  • So here goes nothing.

  • I'd like to introduce you to my makeup bag.

  • Mhm.

  • So this thing not only holds everything that I need to sleep and eat and live in the back country, but also holds my makeup and everything.

  • I need to get out of drag at the end of the day.

  • We're going to do it right and everything I'm going to bring into the back country.

  • I'm going to pack out, we're going to leave no trace.

  • We're gonna leave it better than we found it.

  • But because of that, it's really important for me to have a few different multipurpose tools and really amazing products that I use so that I'm not only being lighter with my footprint on what I'm using my daily life, but also lighter on my back, what I'm carrying into the back country.

  • So I want to introduce you to a few of my favorite products.

  • But before that we're going to do the deed, we're going to take off those lashes.

  • Oh my gosh, this feels amazing.

  • Okay, so the first thing I'm going to use is actually something that I learned from my mom, from my grandma.

  • I've tried it all, nothing works better for my face.

  • Pond's cold cream y'all, it's amazing.

  • You can find it anywhere.

  • Um and it gets all this makeup off extremely quickly.

  • Um so here we go, let's dive in.

  • Um, so I always apply it literally all over my face.

  • But what I also really love to do is to first apply it to my lips, you can get, yeah, all of the super concentrated makeup off my face and then to my eyes as well, wow, this is a journey.

  • And also, I'm trying to do this on the one hand because this other hand has to literally grab stuff out of this bag because I do not have a sink out here.

  • I would really just have my water bottle, so if I run out of water were also screwed.

  • Okay, so as I currently am unable to open one of my eyes because of the pond's cold cream, This is all I have to take off my makeup with two.

  • So this has really turned into like Survivor drag Queen edition.

  • Okay, here we are.

  • I can now have both eyes open and talk to you.

  • Okay, so I'm gonna use this towel and I'm gonna put some water on it and see how much of this cold cream I can wipe off my face.

  • I'm going to apply this water towel and just get into my eye socket and my lips fun fact about drag makeup do this thing called blocking our brows where we use a glue stick and glue down our real eyebrows.

  • So my eyebrow is normally here, but I draw my eyebrow up here so it's kind of cool.

  • It took a while to learn the technique and literally nothing works better than an Omar's glue stick.

  • So really, it's just like The gay arts and crafts I was doing when I was in 4th grade, but now just on my face, so now that I have all my makeup off, we're going to go into the skin carrier stage of my routine and I'm just gonna be honest, skincare is a new journey, a new trail for me in my life.

  • So I'm just gonna show you what I actually use, which is mostly just this face serum that my friend made for me called busted mug rehab.

  • I actually don't know where it is in my packs.

  • Just hold on once.

  • I can not gonna go try to find it.

  • Um We found it.

  • Okay, busted mug rehab.

  • Um My friend makes it local, small batch makes, but I'm gonna give you a recipe.

  • It has grapeseed oil, it has avocado oil, it has essential oils, like lavender, Enberg mont and lemon, and it is amazing.

  • It smells incredible.

  • And I just use a little eyedropper of this on my face.

  • Think just literally a few drops, it's incredible.

  • It's just like this and my skin is taking care of post drag makeup.

  • I also just want to give a quick P.

  • S.

  • A.

  • Before we go any further in this routine to shout out sunscreen.

  • It is the most important skincare that I bring into the back country and then I wear all the time.

  • So no matter if it's a face sunscreen like this or something deeper, it's so important to make sure we're taking care of our skin because I think that if you're not wearing sunscreen, everything else in your skincare routine is just pointless and purposeless.

  • So where your sunscreen, okay, do it for me now that I have the oil all over my face, we're gonna go in for another face massage with lotion.

  • And to me, there's nothing better than servi.

  • Just use a little dab and it just moisturizes so well and you'll listen, I want to have a real moment with you.

  • I'm an environmentalist and a human in progress.

  • I know that some of these products aren't necessarily the most environmentally friendly, but if you know things that are reach out and let a girl know because I'm so new at this world that there's a lot, I don't know and to be honest, clean products to me or a little bit overwhelming and so that's just where I'm at, but if you have tips, if you have pro tips, hit me in the DMZ, I want to know this feels so good to get my skin some moisture and all I have is one more product to show you, but this is my favorite product of them all.

  • So are you ready?

  • You need this in your life?

  • Okay.

  • It is called Yea for earth, my friend Stevie a makes it, it is incredible.

  • So she says that it is for face and skin but I love to use it literally on my lips and on my little crack knuckles, it's incredible, it works so well, just comes in different sizes but I use this in the back country and I literally use it because my hands get cracked when I'm in the outdoors, it works so well.

  • So everyone hit Stevie up Yea, for earth, it is the best you're supporting a small business, thus completes the makeup look that is an oily piglets.

  • Do I look so good, So that's it, that's everything.

  • I literally just do those three steps and sunscreen and thank you so much for pitching a tent with me if you will and watching this little video, I really appreciate it.

  • And the number one thing that I hope you can do after you watch this video is just give yourself five minutes outside, 10 minutes outside, no matter what that looks like for you, If that's painting your nails in your backyard, that's so great.

  • If that's going on a neighborhood walk, that's so great.

  • But I don't think we can advocate for nature unless we connect to nature.

  • So get outside, fall in love a little bit more with this world and I think we'll be better equipped to advocate for it.

  • So thank you so much for watching and I'll see you all soon.

  • We'll hopefully see you on the trails both by.
