Hey guys, how's it going? My name is micaela
and today we're here in daimyo elementary
school where we are collecting
supplies to be sent to the evacuation centers
down in Kumamoto and I'm sure most of you
heard by now, but southern kyushu has been devestated
by the strongest earthquake in the history
of recorded earthquakes in kyushu
and today I'm here with my friend Stana and Karlin
and we just ran around the neighborhood
collecting water and toilet paper
and other materials to drop off here
at the school. It's really really good to see
the turn out. Now there is classrooms
full of supplies that are going to be sent
down to Kumamoto later this evening.
If your in Fukuoka please consider
dropping by. Even if you cant donate
much, every little bit helps.
I know Shovako is a really great place
facility for dropping off goods, but
if your in other prefectures im sure
there are other places to set up
where you can drop off things
as well. If you are from overseas
and you would still like to help
i have set up a crowd funding link
below and amazingly overnight
we have already doubled the amount
that i was trying to raise
so thank you very much to everyone whose
donated so far. If
you have not donated any and you are
looking for a place to donate
you can check out my crowd funding
link. I will not be donating
to any specific charity but i will be sending
the money to the government directly
so that they can help clean up
the roads, rebuild homes, get people out of the
evacuation shelters and
rebuild Kumamoto Castle and all
the things that cost tons of money
and require tons of overtime labour
over the next few months.
If you have ever enjoyed a video that I've
made about life here in Kyushu
and Fukuoka please consider supporting
because this island needs our help.
We are going to climb to the top
of Kumamoto Castle
