now At least 32 people have been killed and 66 injured after two trains collided in southern Egypt, according to the country's Health Ministry.

The high speed collision in the southern province of Sohag caused three carriages to flip over, health officials say.

It is the latest in a line of deadly train accidents in Egypt, and poor infrastructure and maintenance are often blames.

And let's bring in journalist Karim al Bahari for the latest on this story.

He's joining us from Cairo High Kareem, tell us more about what has happened in this train crash.

Well, the whole thing happened when two trains collided in a city near the city of so hard.

This is about 400 kilometers, uh, cells of Cairo.

We have a statement for the Minister of Health saying that there is at least 32 people dead more than 60 injuries.

Most likely these casualties are going to rise.

We have pictures shown on Egyptian television basically by mobile devices videos showing this, uh, flipped carriages.

There was people trapped inside, surrounded by rubble.

Some victims seem to be unconscious, while others are bleeding.

Bystanders are carrying bodies outside and playing them out, so it's quite a miserable seen there.

Is there any indication at this point what might have caused this accident?

Railway authorities saying they're sending a technical committee to form to investigate the reason.

Uh, there's a security source saying that the trains collided by going not in very high speed, which led to the destruction of two carriages of desert to be overturned.

We need to know that, of course, the railway Egyptian railway is quite notorious.

It's one of the, uh it's the oldest in Africa and one of the largest networks.

Uh, and there are a lot of accidents, one of the deadliest.

For example, 2002, when, uh, two trains collided with 300 people dying.
