Let's start with you, Duke yesterday.

Now it's Virginia.

Take us through how the day is transpired for the Cavaliers.

Well, Kevin, it seems just as quickly as Virginia's play in the A C C tournament was extended with that buzzer beater.

It ended with a positive Covid 19 test result.

The Cavaliers left Greensboro this morning to return to Charlottesville.

They're disappointed but hopeful that they can still find a way to meet the Covid 19 protocols to play in the N C double A tournament, Tony Bennett said, We are going to exhaust every option possible.

The good news is that their opponent yesterday, Syracuse, did clear all covid 19 protocols.

They tested negative, and they went through the contact, tracing that the A C C has them go through for every game.

And none of their players or team members, uh, staff included were exposed to the Covid 19 positive test result through the contact tracing, they do not need to quarantine, so hopefully that's good news for the Virginia program.

The question is, if they do have to quarantine, could they begin the necessary seven days of negative covid 19 tests results required by the N C Double A to enter into that bubble in Indianapolis?

Could those time frames overlap?

A lot of questions still need to be answered.

A lot of information still being gathered for the Cavaliers when it comes to what their future will hold with the N.

C double A tournament following that covid 19 positive results.

You spoke with Bill Self a short time ago.

What did he tell you about his team's current situation?

Well, right now, the Kansas Jayhawks are sequestered in the team hotel here in Kansas City, where they will remain until they leave Monday morning to go to Indianapolis and the N C double a bubble.

The player who tested positive today will go home to Lawrence and begin a quarantine period to other Kansas players who were not here at the tournament.

David McCormick and Tristan and Aruna are likely to be able to join Kansas at the bubble in Indianapolis because of the timeline of when they first received that protocol to enter that covid protocol.

So Bill Self said, You know, obviously they're disappointed, but they've given the kids a day off today to rest and relax in the hotel and recover from a very physical game last night.

He will have them practice tomorrow and the following day here in Kansas City.

I did ask Coach if he's worried about an other player being exposed to this virus from the positive test result today, he said.

We believe we're in pretty good shape because they are doing distance seating on the bus, assigned seating at meals, the benches that are distance and the little connects on chips that every player here at the Big 12 tournament is wearing.

They're able to see the data that that positive player hopefully did not have other contacts with the rest of the team, so things are very positive right now.

Okay, fingers crossed for both programs as well as all the other teams facing the challenge in the next week.
