  • Mm.

  • Mhm.

  • Hello, everybody.

  • It is the weekend here in the land of Japan, and I'm going to spend today going to look at an apartment.

  • I've been looking to move for quite a while now, and I've always been like checking websites and looking online for things.

  • But this is the first place that I'm going to see in person, Uh, check out, which is really exciting.

  • I kind of know that it's not going to be the perfect place and even coming out here, it's really far away.

  • Um, so I just wanted to get started.

  • I didn't want the first place I go to see to be like the perfect one.

  • And it's a It's a really nice place looking at the pictures.

  • It looks really nice.

  • Maybe a little too night During this whole process of searching for apartments.

  • I've been working with a friend of mine who also happens to work in real estate, So I wanted to introduce her to everyone.

  • Mika, I don't know if you guys remember Mika, but Mika was in some of my videos in 2000 and 16.

  • I don't have quite a while, but now she works in real estate.

  • So if you guys are ever looking to move in Japan or, uh, you guys are looking to move in Japan or, like, find apartments or anything going to the description and you guys can get in contact with Mika, she's actually you got the key and everything.

  • Yes.

  • Okay, let's go see the apartment.

  • Yeah, I'm so excited.

  • We just came in and it's very fancy.

  • This is very good.

  • Yeah, It's a big step up from my current place.

  • Wow, the car park school.

  • I always find this so cool.

  • Like, how did how?

  • Okay, here we go.

  • Thank you.

  • I think so.

  • Consider.

  • Turn on the switch, folks or something.

  • So there's no no electricity.

  • Wow.

  • Yeah, Nothing.

  • Oh, no.

  • Let's have a look anyway.

  • Wow, that was so nice.

  • Look at that, man.

  • Oh, man, that's so nice.

  • Right next to such a big part here.

  • Just how big the balcony is.

  • Okay, I think you can do small cool.

  • I mean, one of the things that I keep looking for is a big enough balcony.

  • To have my plants and possibly some seats at the table would be amazing, But this kind of size Balcony is actually pretty rare at the places I've been looking at.

  • This is a big plus.

  • Yeah, So this is a three ldk, right?

  • Yeah, three LDK.

  • So it's got to Western style rooms and then also one Japanese style room with the big L D K.

  • Which is the living dining kitchen.

  • So yeah, it's hard to show you guys the scale of this place is mess.

  • So this is the living dining kitchen area.

  • Excuse us stuff.

  • No.

  • Uh huh.

  • So my dream is to find a place where I can jump because my current place, it's like, not solid people below can hear me jumping around.

  • Probably because I don't I just don't jump.

  • I'm scared of it.

  • So but this place, it's like, there's no way.

  • Okay, this is the dream.

  • I like this.

  • I like this countertop.

  • A lot of Japanese countertops are metal, So anything out of the metal is like super nice.

  • Oh, that's so nice.

  • Oh, can you imagine?

  • What's that?

  • Stop.

  • Oh, stop.

  • That's insane.

  • Oh, you That's that's the luxury point right there.

  • Oh, my God!

  • Why is this so far from Tokyo with this three burners fish grill.

  • That's nice.

  • A fan that works and doesn't scream at you.

  • So is this like a water tap?

  • And this, this is Wow.

  • Okay, No.

  • So if you look at the living dining kitchen, it then goes into the, uh, Japanese style room for me.

  • I'm mainly looking at two LG ks with two Western style room.

  • Yeah, I'm really happy to have to tell me if it's a three LDK.

  • But if it's a two LDK, I kind of want to have to like Western style rooms, but it's cool to have a place to film.

  • That's like Japanese style.

  • Yeah.

  • Yeah, it's new.

  • Yeah.

  • So many tatami places are much older.

  • This is brand new.

  • Like how?

  • Brand spanking new that is.

  • Have you ever slept in one of these?

  • No.

  • I feel like you'd be fun to sleep it, but I just don't.

  • I'm on sleeping one.

  • Really?

  • There's some thought.

  • I am on law.

  • I didn't know.

  • So we're going to get a bit darker as we go in because there's no light, but yeah, I like the wood finish everywhere.

  • This is This is a really nice place.

  • Oh, my God.

  • Yeah, it's a big day.

  • Look at that.

  • About weird, like spooky lighting.

  • That's the dream.

  • Red.

  • Hello.

  • So and then we'll tap in here too.

  • Oh, yeah, It's a walk in closet.

  • It's huge.

  • How massive that is.

  • Yeah, right.

  • They could hang stuff up in here.

  • Is this crazy?

  • This is like a weird luxury apartment ghost tour.

  • It's got like, Oh, my God, what's on the outside are those shutters that can be moved.

  • Oh, but you know, you can open it, Okay.

  • Oh, like that.

  • Oh, I see.

  • Okay.

  • Uh huh.

  • Yeah, but it's still pretty pretty dark in here, even with that.

  • And also, like, there's a main road out that way, so the noise would come through, but yeah, it's not.

  • No, it's Yeah, it's pretty dark in here, but there's an A C, which is nice.

  • Yeah, in my current apartment lighting me my current apartment.

  • I have no a c in the office.

  • So in summer, it's just terrible.

  • It's so sweaty in there, So yeah, I see in the office is like a must, like a requirement of mine.

  • And then, yeah, there's a bunch of wolf logs in my office as well I have 11 outlet in the wall, which is fine.

  • That and then there's another room.

  • So I guess this would be like the bedroom.

  • Oh, it doesn't.

  • Maybe they took it with them.

  • They did.

  • They took it.

  • It's okay with the light, but yeah, it is still pretty pretty dark with the light.

  • And there's another closet.

  • And here, I guess we'll another walking closet.

  • Hello.

  • I love the sink in this place.

  • Yeah, I love that sink because Japanese sinks are mostly the same.

  • Like every apartment.

  • Yeah, this is, like, really nice.

  • Is this true?

  • No, it's not.

  • It is a lie.

  • These are drawing.

  • This is so nice.

  • This might be too nice for me.

  • Also.

  • That's where the washing machine would go.

  • It's so spacious and it has the fun wall.

  • A fun wall is a requirement of mine.

  • A fun wall?

  • Yeah, because I can't deal with, like, a just a plastic grey or plastic orange bathroom anymore.

  • Like maybe if it's all white, it's okay, but a fun wall.

  • That's what I like more like.

  • Yeah, I think so.

  • I think that Japanese kitchens are very weirdly designed because it's like This is the This is the preparing space.

  • But the sink is so huge sometimes put the like a metal thing there, right?

  • Yeah.

  • And I think this is the all the floor heater.

  • Got ding sometimes.

  • Oh, wow.

  • Maybe I shouldn't have started with this place.

  • Everything is gonna look so much worse after the Yeah, So the only thing is that this place, it's how far away it is.

  • And I mean, it would be amazing, you know, to live in such a big place.

  • But it's like I would I think I would get so lonely get really lonely for a family, right?

  • Yeah.

  • So I think something smaller doesn't have to be so luxurious, but something smaller and closer to Tokyo would be okay.

  • Just having the view of the park as well.

  • No one's gonna look in and see you doing anything.

  • Yeah, it's super nice thing with this area as well is there's so many big shops, like if there's big shopping malls, it's basically like if you could just live in this area and like, have a family in this area, it would be amazing, But yeah, it's just if you have to go into Tokyo if you have to go out.

  • It's like a bit of a bit of a stretch.

  • It just depends what you're interested in.

  • I guess.

  • And I guess I'm looking for something a little bit different.

  • Goodbye.

  • Beautiful apartment.

  • I hope that somebody lives in you and loves you so much.

  • And they have a wonderful time, but it shall not be me.

  • Goodbye, toilet.

  • I bet you were great.

  • Okay, We're just leaving now.

  • And we're gonna go grab some lunch because I was so hungry today.

  • I've eaten an orange and a bowl of green leaves.

  • Goodbye, Apartment.

  • Goodbye, Emma.

  • Enjoying your life.

  • Bye.

  • Okay, we're getting We're getting some Chinese food.

  • We got some shot on Paul.

  • I don't know what they're called in English.

  • Just dumplings, dumplings, dumplings.

  • Uh, we're gonna get some fried rice, too.

  • I got some pork chops, han some pork fried rice with some soup.

  • No smiling an indoor for Okay, we're saying goodbye now.

  • Goodbye, Mika.

  • I'll see you next time.

  • Next time, Don.

  • Yeah, Yeah.

  • Mm.

  • Mhm.

  • So I'll tell you a little bit more info about the place that I went to go see today.

  • Um It's kind of weird being open about how much money I am willing to spend on rent now because that's usually pretty private information.

  • But I show you guys apartment stuff all the time, and I've been open about this place.

  • So you know what?

  • Um, yeah, I think I could be open about it.

  • So the place that we saw today was at the upper end of my budget.

  • It's very, uh, very luxurious, but I think it was pretty cheap for what it was.

  • You know, if you had, like, a family paying for its like, Yeah, that's that's that's great.

  • So the rent there was 140,000 yen a month, which is in U.

  • S.

  • Dollars, about $1300.

  • But that is just the rent.

  • On top of that is the maintenance fee, which was expensive.

  • It was, Uh huh.

  • 15,000 yet so another 150 on top of that.

  • So that would be 100 and 55,000 years in which in U.

  • S.

  • Dollars is about 1450 ish.

  • That place was about 45 minutes from the city center, so as a city center.

  • I'm usually talking about, like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Shibuya.

  • Maybe you could also do the other side.

  • Like, um, no.

  • Um Tokyo.

  • My current place is about 20 to 25 minutes away from the city center.

  • So to add another 20 minutes into that, it's a bit like, uh, also.

  • Right now, I live in a building where I know other people.

  • I have friends that live down the hall from me, which is amazing.

  • Um, and to move that far out, away from all my friends, is like, I just think I would be super lonely.

  • There was so many big shopping malls and things to do in massive parks that that area was just beautiful.

  • But yeah, I don't think I'm at that point in my life yet where I want that kind of living situation.

  • I still want to be super connected to the city and be able to go in and see my friends wherever they may be.

  • But I'm going to keep looking.

  • Hello, everybody.

  • It is editing Emma here, and it's my birthday.

  • Well, it is going to be my birthday and like, 20 minutes just adds up these next few videos are gonna be pretty ticked.

  • Oh, they're going to just be like, here's the content.

  • Take it as it comes because I found the place that I'm moving to and I'm moving there and the moving process is intense and I'm gonna be making more videos about it and they will be coming out.

  • But for now, I am focusing a lot of my energy on the moving process and getting everything ready.

  • So the next few videos are going to be pretty like just just slap them together and smack him on the butt on the way out.

  • But I wanted to say Thank you so much for watching.

  • If you enjoyed this video, please give it thumbs up, leave a comment and subscribe to see more videos like this one like this.

  • But thank you for watching and expect more Jackie contents, and I'll see you in the next video.
