  • It's crunch time here on the jump.

  • The Grizzlies are in Washington to play the Wizards tonight.

  • They blew out the Rockets on Sunday.

  • Nick, do you think this can be a turning point for the Grizzlies season?

  • I do, Rachel.

  • I've always loved John Moran.

  • I think that team has a sour taste in its mouth After not making the playoffs last year because of the bubble, they can go on a little bit of a running balance.

  • Eunice is playing really well down on the blocks.

  • They've got a lot of good players.

  • And Jaren Jackson's not healthy at Desmond Band and Xavier Tillman, their draft picks this year, are really contributing.

  • Justice Winslow back Slow Mo is making threes.

  • They just haven't quietly have collected a lot of very good players.

  • Watch out for these guys.

  • You like talking about Kyle Anderson every time, Just so you can say that nickname.

  • Slow mode, We mentioned the Grizzlies blew out the Rockets Sunday.

  • That was indeed the Rockets 12 loss in a row.

  • Their next game tomorrow on ESPN.

  • James Harden, as we've been talking about through the show, making his return to Houston.

  • Do you expect the rackets to be big time sellers in a few weeks at the trademark it.

  • Zack, because we just heard from watch over the weekend.

  • Victor Oladipo did not take that new contract the Rockets offered him.

  • Uh, Houston's problem is they don't totally control their own draft pick this year or in a lot of subsequent years.

  • So tanking doesn't necessarily benefit them the same way it does for others.

  • But still, that's a sunk cost.

  • They would not be doing their due diligence if they did not explore what they could get for P.

  • J.

  • Tucker, Victor Oladipo, Get whatever you can if you don't think they're part of our long term plans, regardless of what happened before.

  • Sell, sell, sell, sell it all everything.

  • It's time for everything to change out there.

  • Everything must go is then every Logan.

  • I mean, look, we are at a time whether or not as many sellers, because there is a playing tournament now officially part of the deal.

  • This year, you have more teams than ever who think well, I got a shot to be in the playoffs and some of those teams that normally would be sellers because they were too far out of it.

  • Now do have a shot to at least play their way in, and those are usually very hungry fan bases or hungry ownership like we talked about with the Atlanta Hawks earlier in the show.

  • So you have teams that might give up at a normal trade deadline who aren't now, which means that if you are a team that is willing to sell the laws of supply and demand means that you will get more for what you are willing to sell because there are less sellers out there.

  • So if we didn't think already that Houston was going to become a seller, just looking at the larger field, that will tip you off as well.

  • And I want to get over to Chicago.

  • You see that Wrigley Field sign behind our friend Nick and one of his old time friends, Joakim Noah, planning to retire as a Chicago ball?

  • Nick, what do you remember most about Noah's career with Chicago?

  • Rachel.

  • Nobody was beloved more in that locker room, and that includes Derrick Rose in those early Tibbs years.

  • And joking was he was the heart and soul of that team, and he has peace now in retirement, knowing he left everything he has out there on the floor.

  • So he will be a legend in the Bulls organization for years and years, and his impact was felt for a long time.

  • If you want to learn about Joakim Noah, you could watch one game Game seven.

  • Bulls Nets in Brooklyn, 2013 and overhyped.

  • Overinflated Nets team at home against the Bulls team missing Luol Deng and lots of other people know Derrick Rose.

  • Nate Robinson was starting at point guard.

  • Joakim Noah had, like 24 12, 6 blocks, absolutely willed.

  • That team willed them to win that they should never been able to get on the road against a hyped up opponent in the playoffs.

  • One of the toughest all time competitors and, like Nick said, beloved in Chicago for good reason and had one of the best lines of the LeBron James Dwyane Wade Miami Heat era, even though he, of course, was on the other side when he said their Hollywood as hell.

  • And of course, as we know, Look, LeBron went on to live right here in Los Angeles.

  • So you know, Hakim had something.

  • There are League pass game of the night tonight.

  • Nuggets at Bucks.

  • 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

  • Milwaukee Coming off their big win on Sunday over the Clippers, the Bucks healthy.

  • They're beginning to roll.

  • They've won five straight.

  • Zack, do you think the bucks make it six straight?

  • Or as we say, who you got against Denver tonight?

  • Well, the Bucks are at home.

  • The Nuggets are on the back to back Drew holidays back.

  • The Bucks are trying to starting to get their identity together.

  • Yes, they should make it 600 bucks win tonight.

  • Race.

  • Not only do the Bucks win, but I think they're primed to make a real run here.

  • Not not only at the end of the first half, but going into the second.

  • The honest is feeling great after that win the other day against the Clippers.

  • That team knows how to win, and I think they are finding their way now with holiday in the fold.

  • Nick, you're a reporter covering the bucks for a time.

  • Do you see them making enough of the kind of changes they said they were going to make this regular season so that they can be more competitive in the playoffs.

  • Absolutely, And I think the differences in the defense, they're going to find their way Holiday will be that kind of difference maker.

  • I believe in the postseason.

  • I just think Brooklyn is going to be right there.

  • But I think defense will push Milwaukee once they find that rhythm.

  • And I think this might be their year.

  • We'll look things change really fast in this league, right?

  • So last year at this time, we were talking about Milwaukee having a clearer path to the finals.

  • Of course, they didn't get their.

  • Now they've got the Nets and the Sixers in their way.

  • We will have to see what happens.
