  • kid.

  • You will.

  • When you hit that shot to basically seal the game and you sort of lifted your arms up a Ziff.

  • There were fans there.

  • What was going through your head And what were you feeling?

  • Fans are always there for May, Uh, you know, when I play, uh, and I always mention that, you know, playing in Philly, you know, I have a lot of products, and I play for the fans, and I play for the city, and you know, all my goals when it comes to basketball related to the city of Philadelphia.

  • So I always feel like, you know, that here with us, even though they're not s o you know, always always feel the presence.

  • Just let's go to Chi Carlin.

  • Hey, Joe.

  • It just kind of seems like thes games for you, man.

  • Or just kind of, um, regular for you at this point, What has really been the source of your success this season?

  • A man just I don't know, man.

  • It just feels like the game I slow down from May.

  • Uh uh, you know, last year, uh, I said, you know, the only difference from this year and last year.

  • He's not so much about coaching is marble me being willing Thio.

  • You know, it just dominate every single minute that I'm on the floor.

  • Last year, you know, I was goingto, uh, rough time.

  • Uh, you know, it was just not there.

  • And then also, you know, the moves that, you know, dad made adding all that shooting is also helping a lot.

  • But like I said, it's not so much about coaching is just about me, you know, just turning a corner and just being willing to, you know, dominate every second off defense and an offense.

  • Thank you, Joe.

  • Let's go to Keith.

  • But But Majora with that being said, do you ever after a game Do you amaze yourself?

  • Saying, Yeah, I got 50 and 17.

  • No, uh, you know one thing, Uh, you know, the great Sunny Hill always told me, uh, you know, and we used to talk all the time.

  • You know, after games and before games.

  • And you know, Kobe, that's not impossible, you know, Used to always done You can get too hot, can get too low.

  • Eso You know, sometimes I have big games.

  • He just feels like you know the past 15 or 20 games has just been, you know, all big games and all big numbers.

  • Um, but if that's what needed, if that's what's needed for May, uh, then I'm gonna I'm gonna do it.

  • Uh, but like I said, uh, you know, it's just just basketball.

  • I play the win.

  • Eso whatever it takes if it may having a set screens and get guys open, passing the ball and running the offense like I did last game and I had nine assists.

  • That's what I'm going to if it's, you know, dominant.

  • And, um, you know, just gone.

  • That's what I'm going dio.

  • But, uh, you know, I care more about the defense event, and I'm pretty happy about what we did tonight because defensive, we haven't been good the past couple games.

  • Uh, you know, my goal is to be, uh, defensive player of the year s O.

  • I care more about that end on, and I'm happy that we did a better job tonight, Okay?

  • In the follow up question on, then you talk about, you know, you do it for the fans, and the fans are still here.

  • You've been to a couple of arenas recently where they had fans.

  • What is going to be like for you?

  • When you guys have fans in here in the Wells Fargo center?

  • It's gonna be fun.

  • Uh, you know, hopefully sown.

  • As long as you know, everybody stays healthy, and all the conditions are met for that to happen.

  • You know, lately we played in Utah.

  • We played in Phoenix.

  • They have fans.

  • It almost felt like he was full attempt.

  • Uh, you know, it was great.

  • The energy was great.

  • That is a different story in Philadelphia.

  • Uh, you know that care.

  • And, you know, they're gonna come to games, and they're gonna pull you.

  • They're gonna show for you, but at the end of the day is all love.

  • Thank you.

  • Alright, market our duty.

  • Joel, when you have a night like this, was there a point early in the game that you felt that That this could be even more than the usual kind of damage that you do?

  • Um, a man every single.

  • Now I feel the same way.

  • Uh, I was kind of, uh you know what got me even more going?

  • I was pissed off that, you know, Carter.

  • Wanda had, you know, you had a quick 8 10 points on, you know, I take part in, you know, defense and my defense and the team, the team defense.

  • And, you know, I just needed to, you know, play by the defense and then also go on the other end, you know, get him in trouble or just calling.

  • And just with the team.

  • And that's what that's what we did as a group.

  • Let's go to Paul Hedrick.

  • Yeah, well, you mentioned the defensive end and and Doc talk to us about the strategy for it.

  • Zach Lavine.

  • And you know Matisse kind of funneling him to you.

  • How how are you guys kind of able to execute that and kind of slow Zach down tonight?

  • I said, uh, the other night that, you know, Mattis has a you know, he has a chance to be the best perimeter defensive player in the league on.

  • I mean, it showed that tonight.

  • Zack is a great player.

  • Um, you know, he's been fantastic all year.

  • I think it should be on All Star.

  • Hey deserves it, But looking at the start Shit.

  • I mean, you know, I see now for 28 on, That's all.

  • Metis.

  • He did a great job on there, man.

  • You know, he's one off in our best defensive player players.

  • And, you know, we're gonna put him on the other team's best players.

  • And they did a great job.

  • Thanks.

  • Sure.

  • Let's go to Jason Blevins.

  • Hey, Joel.

  • Coaches really don't push the mid range Facebook game anymore.

  • But how important has that been for you to sort of, um, keep teams from just attacking you and doubles in the post and making them not have just predictable angles to attack you from?

  • Um, he's ah, a man.

  • Uh, I think that's what makes me unguardable.

  • Uh, if you're gonna cry me, um, you know, I'm gonna find my way Thio to the free throw line.

  • Uh, I'm gonna end up on the bastard.

  • Then if you're going back up on me, I got you know, that heavy hesitation shop on.

  • You know, I also got you know, my favorite, uh, you know, just pull up shot, Uh, just, uh, just the easy shot that always got on the post.

  • So it's hard when you got that much.

  • And also off the dribble just dribbling the ball and just making things happen on, you know, I've been adding a lot to my game on, you know, it's been working well on, uh, but I'm excited because that's what you need in the playoffs.

  • Especially when you're gonna play a team 4 to 7 times and they're going game plan you need Sometimes, you know, I'm gonna have to shoot over double teams sometimes, you know, I gotta pass it.

  • Sometimes I gotta figure out how to play through the two doubles and triple teams.

  • And you know, those topless shots, you can't guard it.

  • You can't go to step back.

  • You can just go out, uh, catch and shoot shots.

  • So I think he's gonna go a long way.

  • And, um but I think also those shots, he's gonna help me also play for the next 10 to 15 years.

  • Thank you.

  • Great.

  • Last one, Chris.

  • Crowd.

  • Hey, Well, nights like tonight, 50 points.

  • Um, kind of shows your greatness and shows why you belong in the M.

  • V.

  • P.

  • Race.

  • Is this something that's on your mind?

  • I know used to before winning matters most.

  • But on great nights like tonight, it has to be one of the things that that is right there, um, cutting in your mind.

  • Um, my man.

  • Go on.

  • He's always been since I got to the men, you know, being a defensive player of the year.

  • Uh, that's what I focus on.

  • And then on the offensive end, I just do what I have to dio like I always say, you can be in those conversations if you don't have the, you know, one of the best defensive teams in the league.

  • If you're not winning games you can be in and the conversation we've been doing a lot of that on, uh, you know, I'm thankful for my teammates for helping me, and also, uh, you know, putting me in positions and you succeed on dominant on when you come back to both of them.

  • You know, it seems success.

  • And, uh, whatever.

  • You know, I've been doing the whole season.

  • Then you get the chance to a bit in those type of conversations, and, um I mean, I'm not too focused on that.

  • I just know that as long as we keep winning, I have a great shot at it s oh, you know I just focused on winning because you know my goals, you know, to be defensive Player of the Year.
