So a quick recap.

I'm currently visiting Coach Prefecture on the island of Shikoku, the smallest of Japan's four main islands.

This is gonna be my first time in coaching prefecture, and I'm so excited.

That's not all.

I get to do this trip with one of my favorite YouTubers.

For this trip, Charlotte and I took advantage of coaches, tourism campaign visitors from overseas who present their passport and the returning flight ticket can receive a welcome package with 10,000 yen or roughly $100 in gift cards.

Through this campaign, Charlotte and I are going to take a trip around coach and show you some of the cool things you can do as we explore this naturally beautiful and relatively unknown gem of a prefecture.

So after arriving at Coach Airport, we're now heading out to Shimanto City and we're going to have some lunch and then we're gonna get out on the water and do some water sports.

And I'm so excited.

Do you have you done a lot of water sports?

I've done wakeboarding on, like being pulled by a tube on the back of a good old Canadian.

Yeah, that's about it.

I haven't done.

I'm excited to fall in the ocean since I'm really excited.

Actually I'll probably fall to now because karma is a thing from the airport.

It's a two hour drive into the mountains to reach this remote location along the Shimanto River, where you can rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore coaching by water.

The rental company is called with River, and in spite of the remote location, there's surprisingly English friendly.

You should probably bring your own swimsuit, but you can also rent T shirts and shorts here if you don't want to get your own clothes wet.

No Good bye way started off by kayaking around the shallow shoreline of the Shimanto River.

Things is a great introduction Toe water sports and a fairly easy activity even for beginners.

Gliding along the pristine and emerald green river on a sunny day feels magical.

Kids Next we hopped on paddleboards and rode the strong river current traveling a kilometer downstream while taking in the gorgeous scenery.

That was fun.

We've spent a lot of time in the sun today.

We're just getting ready for our day to trip here of Cokie.

This sentence does not make any dramatic sense.

What happened on, uh, the weather has turned on us.

It was supposed to be sunny, and we had plans to go cycling, but I don't think that that's gonna happen today.

Um, unfortunately.

So the plans have changed suddenly, but I'm looking forward to seeing what we could get up to on a rainy day and coaching as well.

We have come deep into the mountains.

And, um, we're learning about the metal foraging your trade.

And it's really, really fascinating that people can come join this workshop and learn how to make knives and steel from sand on the beach like you start and you go and you collect the sand and you turn it into materials for foraging.

And that's actually incredible.

Thankfully, our teacher, Mr Hayashi, was patient with us as he showed us his tricks of the trade.

Hayashi speaks English and actually welcomes visitors from all over Japan and the world.

Some grievance stay for several days at his facility while learning the art of Japanese metal foraging Pretty cool right way did it together.

At the end of the trip, we were blessed with better weather and can continue our original plan to explore.

This included a boat tour along the coast of ashes.

Judy, with the possibility of spotting a few whales if we were lucky.

I'm so excited to get out on the water.

Unfortunately, although the weather was clear, Theo Ocean was still a bit too rough to go whale spotting.

But the ride around the coast was a great way to see the island from a different perspective, and it felt nice to feel the wind in our hair.

I even got to do some fishing on the back of the boat on our we'll hit on our way to watch whales.

And the boat driver apparently has caught some fish, and he wants me to reel it in.

So what kind of fish it's gonna come out?

And just before I leave and go to Fukuoka, I want Thio actually used my eso the very beginning of my trip.

And, uh, since I'm about to leave and go back to Fukuoka and I don't know what I'm gonna visit coach again.

I want to use thes gift cards to buy some.

It's instant soup using the alsa nori seaweed that they get from the Shimanto River.

Oh, That's so cool.

I don't think I need to be eating any more fish any time soon, so I'm gonna skip this section.

Okay, Charlotte got these, and I regretted not buying them earlier, so I'm gonna get some now Way had these on our canoe trip, and they were like, thes sweet potato chips.

And they're really crunchy and delicious.

A lot of Citrus is in Shikoku, so I'm gonna pick up some uses.

Don't let the remoteness of Shikoku intimidate you.
