  • We've seen high flying scoring machines like the Brooklyn Nets before in small ball situations, not win championships.

  • How can they, without a big beast considered very dangerous, even though they don't have a big that's dangerous?

  • I think the biggest difference is this key.

  • I think when you look at other teams that have gone small ball, it's almost been exclusively getting something at the rim.

  • Are getting something from the three point line, and I think when you get into a seven game Siri's, you can start to figure out ways to defend those areas of the floor.

  • What this team has with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, they've got an answer in the mid range area to floor.

  • So you're talking about two of the best that I've ever done it that could get a shot from anywhere on the court with a hand in their face at any time.

  • And that's the answer a lot of teams need in the postseason and you see it time and time again.

  • If you've got a mid range score on your roster on that level, you've got a pretty good chance to make a deep run because at the end of the day of teams defend you well, on that ball gets swung to the hands of a Kyrie or the hands of a Kevin Durant.

  • They can go just create a shot in that 18 to 20 ft area, the floor with a hand up in their face, as good as anybody has ever done it.

  • So that's why this team is a little bit different.

  • They could beat you from deep as we've seen, as I talked about on this West Coast trip and certainly last night with 18 threes.

  • They can beat you by getting to the rim when you've got a guy like James Harden who's right now dominates that area of the floor.

  • And now you've got this other component where you could go get a bucket against anybody one on one from anywhere on the court with those two elite scores.

  • So they really check off every box Offensively, the question for me was always Are they going to care enough on the other end on their starting to get there?

  • They forced nine turnovers in the third quarter last night, and most of those well, because they force them, they had multiple bodies flying to the ball.

  • They were helping each other on penetration, active hands, and they weren't doing that A couple of weeks ago.

  • This was a team that if you beat somebody off the dribble, you were getting to the rim uncontested because they figured they just get it back on the other end.

  • That's not a winning mentality in terms of championship.

  • This is different now.

  • They're starting to care MAWR.

  • On that end, they realized what that can trigger in the open floor and becoming a more complete team.

  • So it's.

  • It's been interesting to watch down the transformation over the last few weeks.

  • I'm buying into this team the way they're playing right now.

  • You look at them and say, You know, can Philly or Milwaukee or Toronto or Miami or one of these teams?

  • These really deal with that kind of offensive firepower, not.

  • I really don't see it.

  • If this team stays healthy legs, help me out real quick here.

  • What division in the Eastern Conference is the Milwaukee Bucks Central?

  • All right, so I think he got it, got it.

  • I needed the help.

  • That's why I asked him.

  • So the Milwaukee bucks in the Central East.

  • Got it.

  • What's wrong with the Milwaukee Bucks right now?

  • What?

  • Why haven't they just steam road?

  • That's a great question.

  • Well, I'm gonna say, you know, first of all, let's start with the fact that they haven't had drew holiday.

  • Okay?

  • And when when they added you holiday in the off season, I thought, Okay, maybe this is the piece because they've been so close.

  • They've been so good in the regular season best record in league two years in a row.

  • They've got a two time M V P.

  • They didn't have that perimeter playmaker to take some of the pressure off of Yannis and big moments.

  • And even Chris Middleton, who's a who's ah, great score.

  • And he's an all star caliber player.

  • He's not a guy that you're going to run your offense through by giving the ball running high ball screen.

  • In an important moment.

  • Drew Holiday could answer that, but he hasn't been out there, so that is a factor in this.

  • I also think there's just a component off, you know, it's the third year going through this with similar pieces and a similar style of play and I do think there's something about Yanis game now that people don't fear necessarily in the East.

  • They know he's gonna put up massive stat lines.

  • He's gonna play harder than anybody on the floor, but he doesn't really have that answer for when you put 34 bodies in the paint and that's been there shortcoming the last two seasons, and I thought you holiday could answer that.

  • He hasn't been out there, and I think right now this team is a little bit demoralized right now on Do you even heard the honest the other day in describing, you know, other teams and saying that that's the way we look last year, That was kind of telling to me, Something feels different about them Right now.

  • I think you holiday getting back, getting into rhythm, getting a long stretch of games playing with Chris Middleton.

  • Yanis will give us a much better indication if this team can actually get it across the finish line this year and get to the finals.

  • Um, but I just think they're a little bit stale right now and I think Yannis is limitations are affecting this team and how they close out games.

  • It's a problem for them.

  • Do how they could potentially be an answer there, and he hasn't been on the court.

  • It's a great point.

  • Just when you hear M V.

  • P and limitations, it does make you take a little bit of a pause.

  • By the way, the central, as only Tim, would know the Bucks, the Pacers, the Bulls, the calves and the Pistons Keys.

  • A conference guy.

  • He's not a division.

  • I had to ask the questions, Tim, because Jay and I were discussing it and I'm a Conference guy versus Division Guy, Eastern Conference, Western Conference.

  • And that's it, Tim.

  • That's all.
