Alright, uh, New York Knicks reach agreement on a trade to acquire Pistons guard Derrick Rose, sending Dennis Smith Jr in 2021 2nd round pick via the Hornets to Detroit.

So we re joins the Knicks where as well just pointed out he spent that turbulent season struggling in the triangle offense under Phil Jackson.

He became the youngest M v P in league history under Knicks current head coach Tom Thibodeau with the Bulls in 2000 and 11.

So now they are reunited.

And, according to Elias, Rose will be the 15th time in N B A history.

The 15th person in N B A history to play under head coach with three different teams in his lone season as a Nick.

The one I mentioned under the Triangle 18 points a game.

I believe you called it an uptick.

I really liked that phrase under Thibodeau, largely on the strength of their defense.

So what was their mindset and acquiring the 32 year old Rose?

We'll have a couple things first.

Tom Thibodeau loves toe, have his guys, and you mentioned, you know, three players or players who have played with the same coach in three different places.

Add Taj Gibson to that who played in Chicago in Minnesota, of course, for Tom Thibodeau.

He's with the Knicks now signed last month, starting to play a role.

Uh, and I think for the Knicks, while they've been elite defensively, you know, they've struggled to score late in games.

You know, he is certainly a player who can still get in the paint on.

And I think with Emmanuel quickly is emergence.

The Knicks first round pick out of Kentucky.

You know you're going to see his role continue to increase.

He's clearly their point guard of the future, but I think they see Rose gives them a chance in the short term this year, you know, to help get them toward the postseason, whether that's the play in or you know, into the playoffs.

But again, Tom Thibodeau is comfortable with his guys.

He loves Derrick Rose.

Yeah, roses averaging 14 points and forces 42% shooting this season.

So here we are.

We are six weeks away from the trade deadline.

Ah, lot of eyes on Bradley Bailey's.

We've heard a lot of talk about his situation in Washington.

What's the overall outlook on the market at this point?

Well, Bradley Beal Hannah is certainly the player that could absolutely transform the drama of the trade deadline if he decided that he'd like to be moved.

He has not done that.

He's shown no inclination, uh, that he will ask for that between now and that March 25th deadline.

And certainly the Wizards are not voluntarily going to trade Bradley Beal.

They want to keep them.

They wanna tryto convince him to continue to stay long term.

But you know when you talk to teams right now, there's a little frustration out there that there may not be a lot of really significant impact players available between now and the trade deadline.

One player to watch who will be returning from an injury.

He's starting toe workout with his team again on the court.

Kevin Love in Cleveland.

He's been out with calf injury since late December.

Ah, lot of money left on his deal 30 about $30 million a year over the next three years.

But if he can come back and play well and gets a market value again, that's certainly, I think, between the calves and love they'd like to see what might be available for him in the trade market.

That's very interesting.
