  • We're now delighted to be joined during Super Bowl week by a guy who knows a thing or two about great locker rooms in the NFL.

  • Nohemi Heinz Colts running back, joining us on the Goodyear hotline here.

  • Now, Um, How you doing, man?

  • I'm great.

  • Guys, Uh, wanted to be on this show.

  • A big fan of both of you guys.

  • We appreciate it, man.

  • We're a big fan of yours.

  • It's been so much fun.

  • And I gotta selfishly start in the trenches with you because I'm a former offensive lineman.

  • Running backs are our favorite people in the building in here.

  • And you've got an offensive lineman there that I know pretty well in Quinton Nelson now the outside world.

  • Now he sees him with the eye black on mauling, people screaming all the time.

  • I'm curious for people.

  • What does he like inside the locker room with you guys now, there in India?

  • Uh, he's like that guy that you just mentioned the field.

  • Nobody really messes with him in the locker room, but also to everybody knows how biggest heart it is a big leader on our team and he knows that he's gonna give it off for the offense defense.

  • And, uh, that's what you need on this team.

  • He's one of the most selfless players ever, And you could tell about how your pancakes you, because when he's doing, he's throwing his body into somebody for some into another guy.

  • So somebody like me can run by him and get all the glory.

  • And, uh, you know, it is an offensive lineman.

  • That's, uh, that's how it is sometimes.

  • So I'm happy that Quentin gets as much attention he does.

  • You know the office, Lyman.

  • You guys will get a lot of love, so I'm happy he's getting a lot.

  • Wow, I feel like, instantly this guy is your favorite Junior Maniokova came here with 19 Heinz clothes running back here, joining us on the Good Your hotline on ESPN radio.

  • And I'm surprised this bromance didn't start with video games because now he might know you're a huge gamer and, you know, obviously has a big fan of the N.

  • C.

  • A game coming out.

  • Junior was elated.

  • All show long.

  • What are your thoughts on?

  • No longer N.

  • C.

  • A.

  • But now the EA Sports College football game.

  • I think it's about time because, you know, I happen to be in college when they weren't making those NC double A.

  • So, uh, I played in C 14 for, uh, in 2015, 16 and 17 in college, and I'm actually just happy to see that it's happening Also, too.

  • I think I'm gonna take a lot of money, because in college I had a really good record.

  • So hopefully, uh, anybody want to play?

  • I'd like to, you know, play them.

  • So I'm really excited and just all the like this stuff and things that are going on It's, uh, pretty cool to see, you know, benefiting from benefiting from like what guys like myself and others in the past couldn't.

  • So it's pretty cool.

  • It is great to see it move forward.

  • And you mentioned that being good at taking some money off guys, are you going back and playing with your N c.

  • State squatter?

  • You got another team in mind that you would like to tap in with because we do have kind of lost era of NC double A football from 14 until now.

  • Well, if the defense is anything like it used to be, I'm going to pick Probably one of those No huddle.

  • Probably like Ohio State or one of those no huddle spread teams.

  • You if you play the game, everybody knows defense.

  • It doesn't matter how great defense you plays.

  • Defense is just, uh, impossible to stop.

  • It's hard isn't possible.

  • Stopping offense.

  • So I'm gonna take a high powered offense.

  • Maybe I'll finally give this game a world who became Michael Jr and I he minds Colts running back, joining us here on today.

  • Angola Junior.

  • This has been one big advertisement for me to start playing video games.

  • I did Crash Bandicoot, but I digress because this is about you know I am.

  • I want to talk about your now newly retired quarterback in Philip Rivers.

  • Both of you guys, N c state alums.

  • You're on that N c.

  • State squad that got that pep talk from him and then you're able to play with him in the league.

  • He sort of tell us what he meant to you over the course of your career.

  • Maybe include a dad.

  • Gum it if you like.

  • I mean, actually, it's crazy because Philip, uh, committed so much to my career before I before I even played with him.

  • You know, being from Raleigh, I heard a lot of legend.

  • Philip and I always wanted to play with them and even, uh, even, uh, Philip helped my career so much farther than he actually knows.

  • Next year under the new head coach.

  • Every time I used to show me a route how running backs on it, it was probably Philip Rivers throwing the Danny Woodhead or Darren Sproles.

  • So I got to see a lot of Philip before I even got to meet Philip.

  • And then getting a play with him was just the honor, uh, one of the best leaders I've been around, Uh, nobody's ever really talked as much of him pretty a lot of scrimmage, and, uh, nobody's ever talked about him and not custom the game, either.

  • With Dad, governments in the Godly were very funny, but and I'm actually really sad, you know, the kid and really cried in me when he you know, when he retired.

  • So I'm excited.

  • I had, uh, one year of a great experience with him, and it was an incredible experience.

  • Now he minds with us here.

  • Engineering goal of junior again stud running back for the Indianapolis colt and and N.

  • C.

  • State alone like Philip Rivers.

  • But I'm curious from your perspective.

  • Name.

  • I mean, you've got a talented running back room, you, Marlon Mack, Jonathan Taylor, the rookie coming in this year, and you guys all find a way to really make such an impact on this offense.

  • What's that like for you guys in that running back room?

  • Really, never getting too high or low, and really, it seems like being really supportive of one another is everyone succeeds.

  • You know what I think myself?

  • Jonathan Marlin, George Wilkins.

  • I think it's uh, like you said, buying into supporting each other.

  • I think it's bigger than us.

  • I think we all know where great players that we all have different attributes and a different skill sets.

  • And I think honestly, all of us, we're getting to the mindset that we are one of the best factors in the NFL and that's what it really is coming down.

  • So that's what we're trying to show.

  • We're trying to go out there and show everybody that, you know, we're one of the best running back tandem there is and I really.

  • It just comes from, you know, not really worried about how much you're playing a coach.

  • Drafting always tells us, Don't count the players make it.

  • So that's what we all try to do.

  • So it doesn't matter.

  • We're getting 10 carries or going carry.

  • We're trying to get a first down, do something with the ball and, you know, just prove that we're one of the best backwards in NFL because I think that, you know, our numbers show that with that.

  • And I think, you know, we've played toe high enough, high enough standard and kind of levels, you know, say such a thing.

  • So we got just keep doing that and trying to be the best back in the NFL, and it certainly looks like you guys are well on your way.

  • Establishing that is something everyone knows about the Indianapolis Colts now.

  • Now he Anaheim's with us here, Colts running back and also, I think, a title in 19.

  • That seems like it would probably mean even mawr to you this year.

  • You were announced as the 2021 national spokesperson to raise awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

  • Talk about, tell me what that means to you, because that's a pretty tremendous honor.

  • And I know this is something that is very near and dear to you.

  • You know, I'm really just honored and proud to be the national spokesman.

  • Uh, and my job is, you know, just bringing much awareness and, you know, help people donate, you know, raise awareness to let people know what muscular she is.

  • And that's really just how I feel about it.

  • I'm really honored.

  • And my mom had it.

  • My uncle has it.

  • And my mom's mom also died from a 2004.

  • So it's just something that's near and dear in my heart.

  • But, uh, this isn't just the end for me.

  • I'm gonna be a part of a lot of fundraisers, do a lot of things, and, uh, I'm gonna leave a legacy.

  • I'm not gonna be a spokesperson.

  • I'm gonna be somebody who, you know, invokes change and raises awareness.

  • And that's really the goal toe.

  • Bring money, toe help us research.

  • And we're gonna fight this fight together with everybody.

  • Thanks for watching ESPN on YouTube for live streaming sports and premium content.
