- Daddy, can I have an eyeball?
- Yes, you will.
- Yum.
Squishy eyeball.
(whimsical music)
(intense music)
- Our other home is our farm.
Oh my god.
Brie has a lot on her plate.
- Having four kids, having a farm,
having a lot of moving parts and things relying on me.
I feel like I'm more needed and I'm always running around.
Daily routine, first up is the gym.
Then I go tanning, get my nails done,
shop at my favorite boutique, and then have lunch out.
I don't have very much sympathy.
It's a lot less work.
- They are focusing on their organization
and they are more focused on their farm.
However, they have definitely neglected
and put their home on the back burner.
That is a roach!
What thee hell?
(whimsical music)
- Brie was, she kinda just walked in
and just started doing what she does,
like it is back at home.
Just making things work,
so hopefully Carly's getting the same kind of treatment
on the other end, just kinda doing things
the way they do it over there.
(pig squealing)
- I learned a lot at the farm,
learned a lot about responsibilities
that they have to go through to make a living.
Got my first little piglet.
- She totally took to it so,
she did surprisingly well.
Surprisingly well.
- Come on, you got it.
- Stop crying.
- I feel as if John
can be a little more affectionate with his family.
Men are, in general, sometimes focused so much
on making and providing for their family
that they sometimes forget that their time is valuable.
- I got to change up some things in the house.
I'm really excited to have them try meat
that maybe they have never tried before.
We're gonna have a rabbit stew.
- Rabbit stew.
- Is it like an actual rabbit?
- It is an actual rabbit.
I have a feeling I'm gonna get
a little bit of a slap from that
and I think that some of the family members
might be a little bit resistant to it.
This is a processed rabbit.
It's clean, perfect.
Carcass it looks really good and healthy.
- Brie is slicing up the rabbit is like gross.
- John, I'd like for you to come home and help out
with bed time, story time,
and so that can be a positive effect on the kids.
- It's a huge thing, you know,
like being affectionate, giving affection, things like that.
I have to force myself to.
Some of the things that you don't see
is even having this conversation with you right now
I am at war.
I am a veteran with PTSD.
- I didn't know that.
I have taken a lot from John tonight.
Our conversation was great.
He kind of enlightened me on what he goes through
and that is important,
but you can't lose focus on your kids.
- Yeah, I got you buddy, go ahead.
There you go.
Seeing my kids kinda respond to me
and how much they appreciate, it makes it well worth it.
You know, well worth everything.
- Eating rabbit stew, my son actually got sick.
- I'm gonna throw up from this.
- No you're not.
- Kind of a yucky situation.
(whimsical music)
- Thinking that it was gonna taste weird or different
but when they finally tasted it, they were like,
"Oh my gosh, this is so great."
And they couldn't get enough.
- It tastes like chicken.
(laughter)
- It was very tasty, very flavorful.
And I'm looking forward to having it again.
This is like something that reminds me of like a cold night.
- With the fire going.
- You got the fire going, pull out some bunny stew.
- You didn't have to say it like that.
- You didn't say pull out the bunny stew?
- I would just say stew.
(whimsical music)
