  • These are my favorite spots at Tokyo station.

  • It's pretty.

  • So I'm back in the new year and we're here today at Tokyo Station.

  • I wanted to show you some of my favorite spots.

  • So just this last August there was a complete renovation and this whole new place has kind of changed.

  • It added a 66 stores with a total of 153 stores now, and it's just so much to see and do that.

  • I wanted to reintroduce this place today.

  • Basically, what Tokyo station has tried to do has turned this place into its own little city, which basically means you can hang out here in the entire day if you wanted.

  • But like always before I start.

  • All right, let me show you around.

  • So here's the low down on Tokyo station.

  • First, you got to be aware that the shops are located both on the inside of the station ticket gates as well as on the outside.

  • It could be a bit confusing for first timers, but I'll do my best to walk you through grand stuff, which I'm taking you to First is inside of the gates, while the bank I area is located outside of the gates.

  • In fact, there are several different areas within the bank.

  • We'll get to that later in the video.

  • First, let's start from inside of the gates and the brand new area of grand stuff.

  • One thing about Tokyo station is that there's just so much shops you can see there and then behind me here, there's just so many things that by sea and eat from the existing bento shops, they've added shops like the sake bar Hasegawa socket in Ah Calvi in Tokyo, Bananas Collapse Shop Jagga, Baroda and Eddo style Silva Shop Kousky Soba number one Standard.

  • Baker's Tokyo.

  • This bakery is coming straight from Utsunomiya Tochigi, and they make one of the dreamiest and creamiest cream puns out there, almost like a cream puff.

  • Justin on.

  • This is the golden egg cream bread and see, It's like nice and crumbly on outside.

  • Really soft in the one I got right now is still warm.

  • It's just straight out of the oven.

  • Let me just show you what's inside.

  • Mm.

  • That custard cream is so smooth.

  • It's like, almost like a putting in here.

  • They use an egg from Coach E G and milk from Hokkaido.

  • The gross bread is super moist.

  • Upper portion of it is nice and crumbly.

  • It's kind of like a sugary crumble to it.

  • Mm.

  • I'm gonna show you how drippy it is.

  • Wow.

  • Look at that.

  • Just oozing out.

  • You guys have to come to this place.

  • This place is amazing.

  • Number two, Nippon Ramen Rin Tokyo.

  • This clear show you ramen shop is a collaboration with J.

  • R and the Japanese Ramen Noodle Lab Q and Audra Popular Ramen shop in Hokkaido.

  • E had to take you guys to this.

  • Showed you ramen spot today.

  • Look at that beauty nous.

  • It looks so simple, but it is so complicated with all the different flavors it adds, Have some of the soup right here.

  • Yes, that broth is amazing.

  • Look at that broth right there.

  • What's amazing about it is that there's three types of Hokkaido chicken in there as well as pork.

  • And they have a five types of show.

  • You just to make this complicated flavor e Get the noodles too.

  • E Just love how the noodles just pick up all of the flavor from the broth.

  • This soup is just so amazing.

  • Have some onions on here that has some seaweed right there even has some slivers of bamboo here, look at this luscious piece of work in the slice perfectly cooked.

  • And if you like pork like me, then you should also get a special set.

  • Special set.

  • It comes with three different kinds of pork, more onions and it has additional seaweed and it comes with an egg as well.

  • Throw that egg in there.

  • But I'm just gonna stick.

  • All of the meat in here is well, get it soaking up in all of that broad processes love playing with all of the he just dipping it in the Bronx and just kind of have it.

  • Let's all of that flavor.

  • Mhm.

  • A pork itself.

  • It's almost like it's been a smoky taste to it just hasn't been cooked, but they also flavor of the pork.

  • Every single fight is a tender loving experience have a bite of this egg to get involved?

  • No, a lot of flavor to the egg to that is a nicely marinated egg has kind of that runny middle.

  • If you have one Roman spot to go at Tokyo Station, go to this place Number three Cash Oh, sons in this shop is famous for Sendai souvenir Huggy notes Key, and it says the white version of it called Hagino Shadab Co.

  • They use white egg, too great there.

  • Beautiful white custard cream.

  • It's one of the top selling souvenir streets in Grandson, and there's always a line in line.

  • So plan ahead s How do you know?

  • So check this out.

  • I got a sweet custard cream wrapped in a sponge cake.

  • It has these little bunnies on top as well.

  • Looks pretty premium.

  • I got the set of four and you can see just how premium it's wrapped.

  • Let me open it up.

  • Oh, look at that.

  • I just feel that texture right there.

  • It's really spongy.

  • Nice moistness to it as well.

  • Let's take goodbye.

  • Yeah.

  • Wow.

  • Mm.

  • That is delicious and has a little bit of an egg taste to it, but not too much.

  • The texture of the custard is quite thick.

  • You can see how thick that custard is, just not like falling apart.

  • It's pretty consistent when just wrapped up into this nice sponge cake.

  • Oh, it's beautiful.

  • The sponge illnesses moist, but it's not too moist, which is really cool.

  • You can probably have all four of them to myself before we continue on.

  • You get Paul white yoke all mixed in, and then you just drip it over the hamburger, just like uh oh, looks amazing.

  • This is growing while you beef, and it's dry aged.

  • So you get all of that danced, Mommy.

  • Mhm.

  • Wow, that mommy is so intense.

  • that is one of the most flavorful bites have had in a long time, kind of impaired in with egg and the onions, and that melty cheese on top is just flushes.

  • It's almost so flavorful that you need to get some rights in there just to soak up all of that flavor.

  • Mhm and what's so special about this place, and you can choose a three different sauces this time I got the you show.

  • The secret sauce you show was created to enhance the oh, mommy of the aged meat.

  • It's made from a black hair karaoke wagyu, and it's fermented to perfection.

  • Just a few drops of their sauce will bring the house down.

  • Number five Captain Cheese.

  • A name fitting for this cheese sweets shop there.

  • Mini cheeseburger has a Japanese style cuteness and is a perfect souvenir gift idea.

  • They use butter flavored cookies for the buns.

  • Cheddar chocolate for the cheese and a whipped chocolate cream for the center is a Hi honey.

  • So I got the cheese at Chocolate Burger.

  • It's like in a burger case you get three little burgers getting, in fact, by these, like, individually wrapped.

  • If you wanted Thio It's such a cute little tree.

  • Cheddar chocolate a little bit taste like cheese, but it does also have that chocolate taste to it as well.

  • The cookie itself.

  • It's kind of a biscuit and it's crumbling.

  • It's almost like a perfect gift for the kids.

  • Just have fun.

  • Maybe if you're getting on the train, are you bringing like something back home?

  • Now let me take you outside of the ticket gates to the bank.

  • I area and Tokyo Station even has Okasha land, also known as sweets Land.

  • Let me show you inside a house made of all sweet Look, they even have street fighter Pokey Look just to the window They make a fresh fries right in front of your face.

  • I got a fresh fried potato.

  • Calvi chips.

  • It's so hot.

  • Almost gonna burn my hand Uh huh.

  • So much better getting it freshly fried like this.

  • It's the most popular item they have in the store.

  • Now, if you're with a bunch of family and friends and you want a little bit of variety thing, you should come here toe Roman street because there's so many different ramen shops that you can choose from.

  • Let me show you around.

  • Roman Street has eight renowned Just take my money ramen shops.

  • So even if you come here for a week straight, you can eat that good good each day and still have one left over to start the next week.

  • And this is Character.

  • Land has a bunch of toy shops, character shops and some other predictable stuff.

  • Let's look around Character Street has jump shop, Korean Chin Chin, Lego shop and lots of others.

  • Wow, check it out.

  • They even have Super Mario world Lego items.

  • They have a peek a choo Tokyo a station again.

  • That's so cool.

  • Look, even have nickel Bustillos.

  • And if you go up on the second floor of each bun guy, you'll find the Tokyo Gourmet Zone.

  • For many easy Kaya drinking restaurants and bars are lined up for your pleasure.

  • Also, you'll find many office workers here during the week grabbing a drink after work, as it's just super convenient to catch a train when you finish.

  • So now we're in the Tokyo Gourmet Zone, and the next month I'm really excited to show you and number six beer house moody you if you're a drinker on a budget.

  • Then look no further than this happy hour spots or had to share this place.

  • Because if you hear you want to take a little break, especially if you're coming here on the weekdays, they have happy hour until six.

  • And on the weekends until 5, 290 yen for a full glass of beer.

  • That is amazing.

  • So many of these can you drink, but a way to spend time with the station and have some food chill, Have a beer and then go on your way wherever you are going in this world.

  • We have a vector, and we also have a glamorous mm.

  • Just taste this.

  • It's quite like I like it.

  • Oh, that's a little bit more bitter.
