  • What the hell happened to your saints?

  • You told me something different.

  • 43 year old quarterback took y'all out.

  • Or is the defense it took y'all out?

  • Don't matter.

  • They took you all out.

  • What happened?

  • Way We blew it.

  • We blew it.

  • Four turnovers, right?

  • We can't.

  • We can't do that right.

  • And you gotta think if we have four turnovers versus the worst team in the NFL, we probably would have lost that game.

  • We definitely can't do that in the playoffs.

  • We definitely can't do that versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

  • Who who has the defense right now that I think is playing lights out, that is, that is going to give, uh, the Kansas City Chiefs fits.

  • In my opinion, if they keep playing, how they playing?

  • Because what I saw last week and what I saw versus us a defense with linebackers was flying around with The line is playing.

  • And with DBS that's getting in your face is playing confident with safety help.

  • So we just dropped the ball and it sucks because, Stephen and when I tell you I can't in the waters because I wanted to win another Super Bowl and You know, I thought it was gonna happen this year and it didn't happen.

  • And after that game, I just couldn't believe that we had.

  • You know, that was four turnovers, and we lost that game because I felt like going into it.

  • I felt like we had the opportunity to blow him out.

  • But they came ready to play and they beat us.

  • Mhm.

  • Drew Brees, who's an older quarterback now, had Michael Thomas had you.

  • That's about as good as the one and the two is.

  • You're gonna get had Camara.

  • How much better you want out of the backfield?

  • Catching passes, running the ball had a defense and Emmanuel had a tie game in the fourth quarter.

  • And this is what happened now, you said earlier, Sean should go where it makes him happy.

  • What do you think you got?

  • Taysom Hill Waiting in the wings.

  • Respect to Taysom Hill.

  • He's very good overall player, but the Shawn Watson, a quarterback.

  • What's your pitch to the Shawn Watson for New Orleans?

  • Oh man, you're trying to put me in a tell spot because my boy through Hey, my boy Drew having retired yet, so it's hard for me to pitch that, but it Drew was a retired.

  • Obviously, uh, you know, there's nothing really to sell.

  • This is Sean.

  • Watch it because I know I know for a fact that if the Sean watch had opportunity, who wouldn't want to play for Sean Payton?

  • I was just talking about I was just on the show this morning and they were asking me about James, and I said, Davis has positioned himself in a position to perform for offensive coordinator head coach.

  • That knows what the hell is going on, right?

  • And I know you take a lot of these guys a lot of these young quarterbacks and and and I see on this show all the time.

  • You guys giving him fish like this.

  • Players not playing.

  • This guy's not playing.

  • That's not He's not playing up the up the part.

  • But a lot of these guys really don't have offensive coordinators, either.

  • They don't have people that's put them in a position to make plays and put him in good positions to show their true talents.

  • And Sean Payton is one of those coaches I'm gonna tell you just by how he addresses his team in the way that he goes about his business, he's gonna put a quarterback in a good position.

  • So if I'm a quarterback like the Sean watching, who wouldn't want to play for Sean Payton and in this offense?

  • And so I think that sells himself right there.

  • I appreciate what you just said about the Shawn Watson makes Total sense, found.

  • Sounds very beautiful and eloquent.

  • No doubt about that.

  • But transitioning back to Jamis Winston for just a second.

  • Emmanuel Sanders.

  • Where was he before he got to New Orleans?

  • Tampa Bay.

  • Who were his coaches?

  • Yeah, who's coaching in the Super Bowl right now?

  • Yeah, E that That that I don't know about that argument, man.

  • E coaching Jamison.

  • The super E.

  • I mean, but here we go.

  • Okay, Would you sit back and say that it's the Tampa Bay office?

  • The reason why they in the Super Bowl, what you say is the Tampa Bay defense.

  • Well, I get to tell her.

  • Hold on, let me answer that.

  • I give the Tampa Bay defense mad love.

  • Led by Tom Bows and the crew, I got all that every white boys I got that.

  • But the flip side is the offense ain't trash.

  • Come on, E.

  • I mean for me.

  • Like if I had if I had to look at the reason why the temporary bucket is in the Super Bowl, I would sit back and say, because of their defense, those guys turned the ball over there making plays.

  • And they're And they're playing really well now that z not taking any credit away from their offense.

  • But again, we're talking about putting guys in position to make plays.

  • And we're talking about Sean Payton.

  • And Sean Payton is gonna put guys in position to make plays.

  • He's been doing it over a long period of time.

  • Let me ask you that, Stephen.

  • I want to focus on Jamis.

  • Winston, I wanna go back to Drew Brees.

  • Emmanuel, what are you hearing?

  • Does he want to come back?

  • Do you think he will come back?

  • I haven't heard really anything.

  • Truthfully, I'm sitting around just like you guys waiting to see what's gonna go on.

  • But, you know, I talked to a couple of media outlets and they asked me, obviously, put the pressure on me and want to know, just like Stephen.

  • They always trying to do and first e enjoy it.

  • But, you know, I'm one of them types that, you know, I got I got to keep it real.

  • And and like, if somebody said you gotta put a million dollars on whether he retires or not, I'm gonna put my million on that.

  • He retires, right?

  • And so it's one of those situations.

  • But one thing I can tell you is it's only one Super Bowl champion at the end of the year.

  • And no matter what, no matter how far you go out, we went all the way Last year with the San Francisco 40 Niners, I went all the way last year with the San Francisco 40 and at the end of the year, I still felt just like the other 31 teams that lost on DSO.

  • You know, with that said, uh, Drew Brees does come back.

  • You know, I know a lot of people are saying Super Bowl, the Super Bowl, that super with that, But the win, you know, 14 games, 12 games in a year, 10 games in a year, like you can't beat that because I've been on teams that only 145 or six or seven games a year, and so I appreciate that.

  • And I remember when Peyton retired and obviously after pain retired, the Broncos went when they haven't really had a winning season since.

  • And so you know when you have a quarterback like that who could get you into the postseason, that can help you win games.

  • You know, you always root for those guys to kind of come back, even though, you know, everybody says they don't have that, But still, he led us to 12 13, and he's a great quarterback Hall of Fame quarterback.

  • So there's gonna be interesting to see comes back enough.
