If they can walk in the kitchen, why can't you? - I probably could. - Why don't you go in there and make us a pizza? - You guys hungry? - Yeah, go make us something. (upbeat music) Can you believe what we're watching? (crowd murmurs) He just walked right in, look at that. Nobody says a word. - Not a word. - Hey, como esta? - How are you, senor? - Good. - We could all be in there cooking. - Yup. - What's your name? - Pablo. - Pablo? - Yes. - Let's make a pizza, Pablo. (tense music) (phone rings) - Thank you for calling Pat's Cocktails. - Hi, Vivian? - Yes it is. - I want you to stay totally cool and calm, don't react to this at all. This is Jon Taffer, hi. - Oh my gosh, hi. - I want you to do something for me, Vivian. I want to see how observant Jimmy is as a manager. - Yes sir. - So I want you to do me a favor. I want you to walk up to three or four customers, pour them drinks, and just give them to them. I want you to pour yourself a drink. I want to see if he sees that. Don't go to the register, don't ring anything up, okay? - Okay, got it. - Great, and we didn't speak, okay? - No problem. - [Jon] Thank you, bye. - Ladies, mind if I give you some shots on the house? - Are you allowed to take one with us too? - I sure can. - Well let's go, girl! - So here we go Russ, she's making the four drinks. - All right, shotskis on the bartender. - Thank you very much. (dramatic music) - He wanted to see if Jimmy was looking, he's not even looking. - [Host] I don't think he cares. - Just hanging out with his wife, making out as this is going on. (beeping) - Cheers. - [Jon] So that's 20 to $30 worth of drinks now. - Oh yeah. - And she's giving them all away. - Ooh, yummy. - Okay, she's by the phone, here we go. (phone rings) - Thank you for calling Pat's Cocktails. - It's me again, hi. Does it surprise you that Jimmy didn't see any of that? - Not at all. - Okay, here's what I want you to do. For the next half hour, I want you to give away every drink to everybody. Keep a record of it, I'll pay for all the drinks at the end of the night. There seems to be 60 or 70 people in there. Pour as many as you can, just one drink per person. I certainly don't want you over-serving anyone, okay? - Okay. - [Jon] Let's see if Jimmy even notices, okay? Thank you, bye. - All right sweetie pie, here you go, on the house. On the house. Here you go, on the house. Sweetheart, on the house. Here you go. - All right, look at her, she's just pouring away, Russ. No trip to the register. This guy doesn't see a damn thing. - Cheers. - Do you want a shotski on the house? Here you go, honey. You want some good vodka, right? On the house, it's on the house. (cheering) - Russel, I don't know how much more I can watch this. She's probably given away more drinks in the last hour than she's sold all night, and this moron doesn't know it. She could rob him blind. - Shotskis for everybody! (crowd cheers) - Look at this! - [Crowd] Shots shots shots shots shots! - All right, Jimmy's coming behind the bar with ice. So if he doesn't notice these drinks lined up. - Behind you right here. - Look at this! How does he not see this? - Here's to Pat! (cheering) - This is over the top, man. - [Crowd] Jimmy! - Thank you guys, thank you everybody for being here. (dramatic music) (laughing) - The whole bar just thanked him for the frickin' drinks and he still doesn't get it. You can't fake incompetence like this. All right here we go, the big call. (phone rings) - Thank you for calling Pat's Cocktails. - Hi, it's your new best friend, how are you? - Good, good, good. - Can you believe that you've done this all night long and management hasn't seen a thing? - Yes I can. - I got one last thing I want you to do for me, it's bold. - No problem. - I want you to take one of those 175 bottles and walk around the bar. If you see any empty glasses, fill them, but don't over-serve anyone. (she chuckles) Fill up their drinks right in front of him and let's see if this guy can see anything, okay? - No problem. - She's gonna actually walk around the bar and pour it directly into people's glasses. - Excuse me, move, move, move, thank you. She's got a 175 in her hand. Russel, this will be the most outrageous thing ever done in front of a manager, here we go. (dramatic music) Brad now has a fully-packed bar and an employee walked out. What does it take for him to even notice this? I'm gonna pull out one bartender. Okay, let's see what happens. Take Teresa the bartender outside. I wonder how long it takes Brad to notice this. How long would it take you to notice it? - I'd already be up and be like hey Teresa, where you going? - Maybe he can help you. - Just kinda disappeared. - So I got the soccer team and 15 customers, and I'm pulling bartenders, and let's see what Brad does. (crowd murmurs) - We could do a shot. - Pull another bartender. Pull one more bartender. (tense music) He's getting up, where's he going? Let's follow Brad. - He's just letting her out? - Oh my god. (laughing) - I'm still looking for our server. - I've pulled every bartender except for Devin, and he's the last one. You ready? - Yeah. - Pull the last one. - Is it corn or-- - It's either ... - Where are you going? All right, well. (laughing) - Every employee is gone. - Oh my gosh. - Any owner who doesn't notice that their bar is packed and there's no employees either doesn't care or is an idiot. - Where did all the bartenders go? Guess I can help out. - His daughter just jumped behind the bar. - Oh, here's somebody, can I get some change? - [Daughter] Yes. - So now I'm gonna pull them too. Take the daughters out as well. (upbeat music) There is not one employee in that building. - Are you freakin' serious? This is kinda hard to watch. - Not for Brad. You know what, it's unbelievable to me that these people are walking in and out of this kitchen and cooking this food, if they can walk in the kitchen, why can't you? - Probably could. - Why don't you go in there and make us a pizza? - You guys hungry? - Yeah, go make us something. (upbeat music) Can you believe what we're watching? (crowd murmurs) So he just walked right in, look at that. Nobody says a word. - Not a word. - Hey, como esta? - How are you, senor? - Good. - We could all be in there cooking. - Yup. - What's your name? - Pablo. - Pablo? - Yes. - Let's make a pizza, Pablo. (playful music) - Cheese goes on top of the sauce. (laughing) - Excuse me please, excuse me. - I'm out of your way, Pablo. I got two and a half minutes. - Why you guys bother me today? Why everybody freakin', just leave me alone, let me work. Let me do my job please. - Amazing, never seen anything like it. - Okay, muchas gracias, all right, I'll see you later. - The only thing I would ever eat from this kitchen is a pizza because it was brought up to 500 degrees and in fact, this is the only safe thing in the whole damn place. - 10 minutes, where'd you grow up? - Well I was born and raised in Brooklyn. - I'm taking a little pizza out, see you later. - [Woman] Just walked right out with a pizza, no one said a word. - [Jon] Took the pan too. (laughing)
