  • When you're making animated movie, it's normal to take a lot of different passes.

  • It things.

  • But here's one of our very first attempts at, uh, the origin story where Shaggy and Scooby met for the first time.

  • So we call this sequence when Shaggy adopted Scooby.

  • You watch out, kid.

  • Coming through school.

  • You're gonna love it here, Shaggy.

  • I promise.

  • Yeah, you'll make new friends in no time.

  • E it.

  • There you go.

  • Sorry.

  • This'll is why we're best friends.

  • Why?

  • I have an idea.

  • Mm.

  • Okay, honey, your choice.

  • Is he excited to pick out his new best friend?

  • You sure hope so.

  • Wax.

  • Mhm.

  • Oh, mhm.

  • Yeah.

  • Hey, you want some e s.

  • O.

  • Uh, Everybody hates you too, huh?

  • I wouldn't say everyone, uh, more, please.

  • Mom.

  • Dad, I want this guy.

  • Oh, no.

  • You sure, buddy?

  • Yep.

  • Look at him.

  • He's perfect.

  • Okay, well, welcome to the family.

  • My name?

  • Shaggy.

  • What's yours?

  • It's OK.

  • We'll figure that out.

  • You're coming with me, little buddy.

  • So Scooby and Shaggy love to make outrageous sandwiches on.

  • At one point, we had a whole sequence devoted to that.

  • We had to cut it from the movie.

  • But it's great that you get a chance to finally see it.

  • Mhm.

  • You should.

  • Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • Oh, yes.

  • Whoa.

  • We owe, like, first one to the olive winds bone Petitto.

  • So one point we had this whole sequence where he went inside Scooby and Shaggy is mind, but it was cut from the film because it turns out that's a place no one should ever go.

  • Whatever information dastardly is looking for is inside your brains.

  • Which got me thinking, Hey, the brain is basically one big encrypted storage drive.

  • You just have to convert the file still format.

  • We understand.

  • So I've developed this interest Cerebral bridge thinks works.

  • It should allow me to enter your minds and see what's there.

  • Whoa.

  • Are you a neurologist?

  • Nope.

  • What?

  • The fudge.

  • Yeah, Well, hello, You adorable little thing.

  • Do you know something important?

  • Well, well, that was fascinating, but entirely unhelpful.
