The media is now covering a story.

The police are at the entrance of a building where robbery took place.

A $29 million ruby was stolen from this shop just about three hours ago.

I come here all the time because I don't live that far away.

5, 10 minutes from here at most.

And when I saw that there was a crime that took place here Ah, 30.

About a $30 million ruby, which is about $29 million.

29 million.

We say Sanju, Roku and Ruby San Joe Cohen is about 29 $30 million.

How did this happen?

Was it a crime of passion?

Was it, uh, something that was planned months and months in advance.

This is something that I get, uh, feelings.

Like Like it's some sort of movie or Netflix drama.

And it took place right there in that building where the green sign is.

So I'm actually here in Ginza for another job, and I thought I would stop by and we could take a look Now, the media over there has been interviewing people, uh, talking about asking witnesses who might have seen the crime.

But it happened in this building right there.

What had happened was around 12 o'clock noon, a 4 kg ruby, if you can imagine, a 4 kg ruby, which is uncut, was stolen from here.

Apparently, two people went in there and they were looking, Um I guess they were inspecting the ruby, perhaps for purchase.

I was kind of surprised that this kind of crime could actually happen, because, um, wouldn't you think that there'd be a lot of security with a ruby valued at almost $30 million?

Yet what happened was that somebody had snatched it out of the hand and made a dash for it to people.

And the police have been looking for it when I came here by bicycle.

So when I came here by bicycle, there were checkpoints at some of the intersections here in Ginza.

Now this area is famous for having loads and loads of alleys and little teeny alleys, and it's very hard.

Thio scour the entire area.

But I can imagine that these thieves will not escape the long arm of the law because in Japan they usually get their criminal.

They usually do it.

You could see there's a lot of traffic, and the result of the reason for this is because there's a lot of checkpoints.

There's a lot of security in the region, but it happened from this building.

And I think this is the sort of crime that people will be talking years about when a 30 million dollar gem whole Seki is stolen.

Pretty amazing.

This could be the crime of the century.

Um, you could see when I say 4 kg, that's about like £10 like a 10 £11 ruby, and you could see it's uncut.

Um, it's pretty raw here.

And they're on the lookout for this all around the city, and I think it's gonna be pretty hard.

Why would you take this?

How do you sell it?

Obviously, they didn't get away with the letter of authenticity or something like this.

What you would do is this is something that's gonna be on pawnshops, like the TV show where someone's look, I've got the mysterious 4 kg ruby off Tokyo.

I don't I don't know how this is gonna happen, but, um, now the crime is sort of The crime scene has participated.

They'd actually roped off.

You could see the media starting to really go home here.

The story is over.

It's just starting for only in Japan.

Because we like to investigate these things now is somebody who is an avid crime lover.

Somebody crime, Ah, story lover who likes to solve these types of things.

This is one that is just a breaking news that's gonna be hitting the international wire, because how do you get away with a 4 kg diamonds valued at $40 million?

The alleys of Ginza are very narrow again, like you will find between the buildings, loads and loads of places to hide Now, apparently, this was not a premeditated crime.

They are not something that they seem to have planned very well.

They literally just a snatch and grab.

It was just a snatch and grab.

See, Here's some more alleyways that you could possibly possibly go down to get away.

So police are on the lookout for two people who snatch and grab a £10 ruby validated.

$30 million.

I see two people right there.

Very interesting.

In Japan, you don't get a lot of in Japan.

You don't get a lot of crime like this.

Okay, so for us, this is like a looping right, Like the theft of a very precious jewel.

Where could this person have gone?

As you could see, Like in a lot of these shops here.

They do have guards.

They do have people standing at the door.

And there are so many police officers around here.

I'm just shocked that they could get away with this air to Iran.

They must know the area very well.

And you only live twice how would I know that because I know this area very well.

Was it a crime of passion, or do I just like calling it a crime of passion?

How long will it take the authorities to catch the criminals?

How long will it take the criminals to chop up the ruby into pieces and sell them and disperse them around the world in four pieces that one day 20 years from now comes together again to form the massive ruby of Tokyo.

So many questions once again for those joining us, this is the ruby that was stolen about three hours ago.

A £10 ruby valued at 30 approximately $30 million.

This isn't Onley in Japan crime.

It is not.

Actually, you could probably snatching, grab anything, but perhaps the store, the store owners or the owners of it.

We're very trusting.

I don't know.

It just seems like it would be impossible to snatch and grab a $30 million gem like that again right now.

What we know is around noon, two gentlemen, criminals booked away, snatched and grabbed E Jem valued at Sandy Oakland and ran through Ran away.

An eyewitness account said that there were two of them.

Apart from that, we're just not sure.

How could you do it in broad daylight too?

I'm just I'm just really, really, um I don't know, curious about this crime.

Yeah, Obviously they did not witness what had happened.
