  • What impact has that had on your teeth?

  • Well, I I think it's always really important when a player can say, you know, I did this the hard way.

  • I had to go through a stage of development and I was willing to make the sacrifices that needed to be made.

  • You know, I think that's one of the things that sports athletics does for lots of people.

  • Thank you all for joining us today to welcome coach Steve Sarkisian to University of Texas.

  • What's the challenge for you as a head coach knowing that you have assistance who have a different future after Monday night?

  • First off, I think those guys feel a lot like I feel about the team on the players on the people in the organization because you really wouldn't get these opportunities if you didn't have success and all of those people have contributed to your success.

  • I have a little personal experience in trying to do that, but my whole thing was I felt like I owed the players who had coached all year and for four years.

  • In some cases I would hope that our coaches that get these opportunities would have the same feeling about what they want to do for our team.

  • Nick, you're getting ready toe coaching your ninth national championship game.

  • What have you learned from the first eight that let you walk the fine line between businesses usual and realizing that this is a game for the high stakes?

  • Players have to understand that.

  • You know, this is like a Game seven.

  • So the way they prepare for the game the way they practice for the game doesn't really matter what you've done before this game.

  • It's all about what you do in this game.

  • E.

  • Think how you practice, how you prepare is going to be the team that you're gonna be when the game comes.
