  • The House is expected to vote on that resolution Tuesday, but with Pence and his fellow Republicans showing little interest in invoking the 25th Amendment, which has never been used, the next step, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is to bring impeachment legislation to the floor.

  • If passed, it would make Trump, the Onley president in US history, to be impeached twice.

  • The Republican controlled Senate would not take up the charge until January 19th at the earliest, Trump's last full day in office.

  • But regardless of timing, if the Senate voted to convict Trump, he could be barred from holding public office in the future.
