  • So we had that news from the PGA.

  • Now they're all in ancient, a double blow for Donald Trump.

  • Yeah, the Trump brand is very bad, badly damaged.

  • The Championship of America huge event, which his course Bedlington was going toe is going to host on DNA.

  • It's not gonna happen.

  • Tell me a little more about the likely thinking because we've seen large parts of corporate America, uh, looking at the events of last week pulling financial backing for those who pose Joe Biden's Electoral College count on Wednesday.

  • When you see something like this from the sponsor's point of view, are they just alarmed to find themselves at the wrong end supporting the wrong person?

  • The wrong brand?

  • Exactly.

  • Sponsors don't like to be associated with anything that is bad or, UH, might might sort of reflect reflect badly on their brand.

  • So they are always very keen.

  • There's so much competition to stage big events at golf courses, much for for somebody to turn away and look for a better alternative.

  • Just a final thought then, in terms off, away, back.

  • Given a Nev event of such magnitude, do you think there's any way back in terms of all of these commercial golfing linkups for Donald Trump in the brand?

  • No, no, I didn't think so.

  • It all thes events take four or five years in the planning.

  • You know, the schedule on Grotta for hosting events is planned out advanced, so you know nobody's going to even consider from in the next few years.

  • By that time will have moved on again, and who knows what will be will be happening.

  • But I don't think we're going to see much support for Trump using in the coming five years, Nigel.

  • We have to leave it there.

  • Thanks very much for joining it at that particular aspect off this story.
