But there's a lot of hard work that I gotta dio just that's in the past.

Well, speaking of the past, if you could go back in time and talk to that little boy who was selling trinkets with his brothers on the streets in Greece to help support his family that he would be earning a $228 million contract to just play basketball.

What do you think his response would be?

You know you're crazy.

It's been It's been a long journey.

Uh, and I say, Listen, I get goose bumps, get chills.

You know, it's really has been a long, long journey.

And I just wanna thank my parents, my parents for, like helping us providing for us, you know, making our life Azizi a spa possible.

Well, you joked that one of the reasons why you decided to stay in Milwaukee is you ask your mom she wanted to leave and move, and you said, and she said no.

So how much did family impact your decision to resign, Will, with Milwaukee obviously impact a decision?

I decided I say I'm signing that signed the contract and I'm here now.

Well, ultimately, you know, why did you decide to sign this year instead of, you know, essentially getting the same contract offer and going through the courtship of free agency, which so many players say they want to experience?

Why now?

Um, first of all, I'll be behind the percent.

Answer you like I didn't want depression.

I didn't want the pressure, not me.

Personally, I I do.

I do with pressure.

I didn't want the pressure, you know, on my teammates, you know, my coach stuff going out there, losing the game and people talking about he's living all his staying.

Oh, they didn't play well, All he's out of there like that's that's adding more pressure to what?

We're trying to accomplish it.

The goal is to win a championship.

So going through a year off pressure, it's almost like throwing it out of here.

While I'm going, I'm entering my prime, so I'm not throwing out a year on.

And obviously I know that everybody, uh, media Elvis off course and then be everybody wants that.

You know that story and that story line that drama.

But that's not me No e really want people to just leave me alone.

Don't even talk about me and you don't play basketball.

Well, you guys have the best record in the NBA the last two years in which you won back to back MVPs, but you've fallen short of the ultimate goal.

Recently, you made a reference that Michael Jordan lost in the playoffs as well.

And you said quote needing to get hurt to win was the reference you made.

What did you mean by that?

It's gonna hurt.

Not easy, not easy, No.

And, uh, obviously Miami played great basketball.

You gotta give it to them.

But, like, you know, like I hate losing.

I hate loose, you know, And I want to make all the time, but it's not possible.

There's never been a team that goes to 82 no, you gotta respect got expect basket you got.

Expect the players.

You gotta respect the effort.

That player's foot like seeing like, you know, Jimmy Butler.

Uh, the phones, like, out of breath.

You know, standing on the sideline can't breathe.

Cannot you respect that?

Like it's gonna hurt.

It's not gonna be easy, you know, and, uh, MJ Goto through that LeBron through that, like a lot of great players went through that.

Like, you cannot expect that.

You just gonna walk through the park and just win the champions.

They're gonna give you the championship.

If we win the championship this year and next year, the different thing want to win the championship?

We're not just gonna give them to give it to them like they go, they're gonna have to come and get it.

They're gonna come have to come and fight for it, you know?

It's gonna hurt.

It's not gonna be easy.

You're gonna get knocked down.

You get eliminated, you're gonna get humiliated.

One of the biggest moves the team made this offseason was signing Drew Holiday.

One of the best two way players in the league.

How would you describe his impact on the team so far is amazing.

It's amazing, great player, but a great person.

Easy to talk to.

Great leader.

He leads by example.

The name makes the game easier for everybody.

You know, it's a great addition to the team is gonna help us a lot moving forward, but we need him.

We need the card.

Didn't score.

We need to be aggressive and this year is ready for us.

You wore your dad's picture around your neck when you signed your contract, and you often say you are your father's legacy.

So what do you think he would make of the legacy you've built for yourself?

He'd be extremely proud, not just me.

He'd be extremely proud off me and my brothers, my family, my mom, the way we approach things, that we were approached life, that we never stopped working like he did that.

We believe in ourselves that the most important thing, like my dad was always kind to everybody was always nice, polite, respectful on.

That's what we are as, uh, his brothers and my mom also.

But you know, one thing I'll say is that my dad was never had money, never had money.

Nothing like we used to sell stuff in the street for living, you know, and that's for us to provide that day and, uh, make sure we can save a little bit and pay that and difficult pay the rent But, you know, he raised us with love.

We never bought off love, Never.

You know.

And no matter how much money, how much money you know we get, that's never gonna change.

We're gonna be who we are gonna be closest family.

And, uh, you're gonna want more.

But what I mean by born that more money, more fame We're gonna want to be better to improve can never be satisfied.

You know, my dad was never satisfied, so I just read the necklace because I wanted Thio feel like, you know, obviously around me off everyday spirits around me, But you know, what did he mean on my chest?
