With the sounds of Japanese summer in the background, I'm gonna be sharing with you guys some of the best tips for climbing Mt.

Actually, I'm gonna be sharing you with you is a bit of a misnomer.

You see, today I have a guest who has climbed Mount Fuji.

Let's put the camera down and get started before we jump into things I want to introduce.

Victor Victor runs an instagram called frame of travel.

When they climb, Mount Fuji will climb from the fifth station.

Victor has all the best tips for climbing Mt.

I am gonna get him to share those with us today.

And then we're gonna wrap up the video at the end by me sharing some of my biggest failures for my client.

Let me let me change the camera position that that's really high.

Tip number one would basically be bring a lot of 100 endpoints if this is gonna be your first climb up Mount Fuji.

You need to bring these 100 points because soon to get up to the fifth station.

For some reason, everything costs 100 or 200 or 300 hand, especially the bathrooms.

I am already really glad that I asked you here because I completely forgot about that.

Okay, So tip number two is that if you're coming here to Japan, you're not ready.

You buy a new pair of foods, do not wear them for the first time when you're climbing.

If you're gonna be climbing Mount Fuji with brand new boots, you're gonna have a bad time.

That because you're not just gonna have a bad time because the boots will be uncomfortable and you will get blistered.

Have you done a climb with new boots before?

You see, I made the exact same mistake the very first time and on Lee time that I've ever climbed Mount Fuji.

I bought a brand new pair of like Timberline Ask boots for the climb.

But by the time I got up there, I definitely had blisters.

And on the way down there was a disaster.

Before I get into the disaster, I wanna hear tip number three because I feel it.

Ties in tip number three is basically get yourself a pair of gaiters.

It's kind of like a detective kind of layer that you put on the top of your boots that surrounds your leg in order to prevent any rocks from getting inside your boots.

You recommend this because because everybody always has fun about climbing all the way up.

But they never remember that you have to climb back down.

And the past that you take travel back down are still with lots of volcanic super sharp pebbles and rocks that will always get into your foods e.

I feel like this is a pretty good time to share what happened with my boots.

It's tiring, but it's not that difficult.

But the trip down is when you want to die.

Ah, lot of people, myself included, will try to mitigate this by kind of running and sliding down like you're skiing down the mountain.

I did this for about the 1st 30 minutes of my descent.

It was at that point that I hit one of these rocks, not to mention all the ones that were in my boot and the soul of my brand new boots ripped off when flying down the matter.

After I went and retrieved it, I had to duct tape it back together.

So the remainder of my descent down Mount Fuji was done with a ripped duct tape boot and a broken toe.

Yeah, there were some other mistakes I made in there, but we'll get to that tip number four.

Okay, so tip number four is basically bring Thea essential small stuff mask sunscreen.

You're gonna get burnt and then small bandages on Impossible sunglasses and a half.

A mask is very essential because you're forgetting the thousands of other people they're climbing in front of you and all the dust that they're kicking up constantly, Constantly, Constantly.

Now, I may be shaving here, but back when I climbed it when I had a full beard, my beard was full of red dust.

By the time I actually got down, I forgot my mask.

And this stuff is some nasty stuff to breathe in as well.

You know, the first time that Victor and I ever ran into each other was in Shinjuku.

So when we met today, I was like, Who is this guy?

So a lot of people starting from the fifth station usually take a bus up there.

Okay, I'm just gonna get off the bus and just start climbing up there.

But that's probably one of the worst things you could do because of elevation sickness.

So if you are taking a bus and you're not with a group, chill a defense station for an hour, hour and a half and then start your descent.

And the reason for this is because if you try to shotgun it up there, you're not gonna be used to.
