  • You're just in time for the Power of We holiday party.

  • - Yeah, we're all getting together to celebrate.

  • - It's a special time

  • of year with lots of holidays and celebrations,

  • so we're learning how each of us celebrates with our family.

  • - I feel so excited!

  • Charlie was just about to share how she celebrates.

  • - My family and I celebrate Hanukkah.

  • It's an eight-day festival of lights.

  • - You celebrate for eight days?

  • - Yeah.

  • We light candles for each night of Hanukkah,

  • on a special candle holder called a menorah.

  • I get to help my mom light the candles.

  • We sing songs, and wish everyone a happy Hanukkah.

  • Happy Hanukkah!

  • - [Others] Happy Hanukkah!

  • - That's amazing, Charlie.

  • We light candles for our holiday too.

  • Tamir and I celebrate Kwanzaa with our family.

  • - Yep, it's a seven-day celebration

  • of our African-American culture and history.

  • - We decorate our house with art,

  • colorful cloth, and fresh fruit.

  • Each night, when we light a candle

  • on a special candle holder called the kinara,

  • we talk about one of the principles of Kwanzaa.

  • - Yeah, the principles of Kwanzaa help us

  • to continue to come together

  • as a family and community, like umoja, which means unity.

  • - Hey, we're celebrating unity right now by coming together

  • and learning how our friends celebrate the holidays.

  • (giggles)

  • Elmo, how do you celebrate?

  • - Oh, well, Elmo celebrates Christmas.

  • During Christmas, Elmo spends time with his family,

  • decorating the Christmas tree and singing songs.

  • - Oh, Elmo, I celebrate Christmas too,

  • and I love giving gifts to my friends and family,

  • oh, like, let me show you, like these drawings that I made

  • for my mami, my papi, and my abuela, see?

  • - They're going to love it, Rosita.

  • - Oh, gracias, Charlie.

  • Yeah, I celebrate Christmas,

  • and also, another holiday called Dia de los Reyes,

  • Three Kings' Day, and we make lots of food,

  • like my abuela's Rosca de Reyes.

  • Mmm, Three Kings' Bread.

  • That is delicious.

  • - Ooh, I want to try Three Kings' Bread.

  • My grandma and I cook together too.

  • You'll have to try our sweet potato pie.

  • - Oh, and Elmo's Christmas cookies.

  • - And my family's potato latkes.

  • - Oh, it looks like we found something

  • all of our holidays have in common, lots of yummy food.

  • - [All] Yeah.

  • - I had so much fun learning about everyone's holidays.

  • There is so much to celebrate this year.

  • - Merry Christmas, everyone!

  • - Happy Three Kings' Day!

  • - Happy Hanukkah!

  • - [Both] Happy Kwanzaa!

  • (Elmo giggles)

  • - No matter what you celebrate with your families this year,

  • happy holiday from all your friends on Sesame Street!
