  • So what are these things?

  • Ah, prank A scam.

  • Bioterrorism.

  • Welcome to watch Mojo.

  • And today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 creepiest mysteries of 2020.

  • It was a sudden shape that lasted just moments, but it was enough for motion activated cameras to kick in our American 1997.

  • We just passed a guy that shit back.

  • If it's some other phenomenon, I think I'm just curious.

  • Yeah, I'm not worried.

  • Just curious for this list.

  • We're looking at eerie discoveries, sightings and strange happenings from 2020 that's still have us scratching our heads.

  • Which 2020 mystery has you lying awake at night?

  • Let us know in the comments number 10 Mysterious drone sightings this year kicked off on unsettling note as mysterious drones were spotted in northeastern Colorado and southwestern Nebraska as well a southeastern Wyoming.

  • One woman describing the skies above her as Christmas lights.

  • It was odd it honestly, it reminded me of where the world it's really concerning.

  • Do they have cameras on them where they're watching us and what we're doing.

  • While there had been reports of unidentified drone since late 2019, It was in January 2020 that the story really blew up larger than the average drone.

  • Some claimed they were the size of cars.

  • Adding to the creep factor.

  • Reports suggest the drones were flying in grid patterns.

  • One witness estimated that he saw up to 30 drones flying at night.

  • Some experts speculating that the drones could be flying for private companies conducting, mapping or surveys for things like oil and natural gas.

  • Other theories suggest they're part of practice runs for the kind of drone shows put on its sporting events or theme parks.

  • While many of these sightings were given reasonable explanations, ah, lot of them are still unidentified.

  • Reports seemed to die down after January, although it remains unclear who was operating these drones and what purpose they served on at this point.

  • While the drones may be mysterious, they don't appear malicious.

  • Number nine Cosmic objects swallowed by Black Hole It might sound like something you'd read in a comic book, but this story is all science and no fiction.

  • About 790 million light years from our planet, an unidentified cosmic object merged with a black hole of 23 solar masses.

  • This resulted in a gravitational wave signal known as G W 1908 14, which made it all the way to Earth on August 14th, 2019.

  • By June 2020 astronomers still had yet to determine what the mysterious object Waas, although it was reportedly about 2.6 solar masses.

  • Nothing escapes a black hole, not even light.

  • Everything that gets sucked into a black hole gets sucked into a singularity where the laws of physics completely break down.

  • Theories have ranged from the heaviest of neutron stars to the lightest of black holes.

  • Quote.

  • Either way, it breaks a record, said Vicki Calogero of Northwestern University.

  • Calogero also stated quote, We haven't seen with confidence anything like this before.

  • Number eight Groaning Noise in Southwest Anchorage in February 2020 a mysterious, groaning sound made its way from midtown toe West Anchorage, waking up to the noise at around five in the morning.

  • Some residents only heard it once.

  • Others claim that the sound repeated for a few hours and only got louder.

  • Although this wasn't the first time the noise had been detected in this area, reports were especially high this time the noise has been compared to quote a foghorn, a submarine scraping the bottom of a pool and a big backhoe that was giving birth.

  • Yet nobody can determine for sure where it emanated from.

  • Maybe it was a snowplow.

  • Maybe it was construction.

  • Or maybe it was trumpets in the sky.

  • As some have said.

  • If it's some other phenomenon, I think I'm just curious.

  • Yeah, I'm not worried.

  • Just curious.

  • Number seven, the L A jetpack flyer we've all dreamed about soaring through the sky and a jetpack.

  • And technology may finally be catching up with movies like The Rocketeer.

  • How do I Look like a hood ornament way?

  • In late August 2 pilots reported that they saw quote a guy in a jetpack roughly 3000 ft above Los Angeles International Airport our American way, then another jetpack, citing moments later from a Southwest pilot a way About six weeks later, in October, another jetpack sighting was reported in Southern California.

  • It's unknown if this was the same jetpack flyers before.

  • In any case, the mysterious jetpack operator made it up to 6000 ft on this flight.

  • Authorities air taking the jetpack incidents seriously, warning it can be as dangerous as a drone flying near passenger planes.

  • The FBI has been investigating this mystery, although the identity of this guy in a jetpack remains up in the air.

  • Our money is on Tony Stark.

  • No, this'll isn't a game you do not see in civilian equipment into my active war zone.

  • You understand that it's not a piece of equipment, it's a shoot.

  • It's May number six seeds everywhere.

  • So what are these things?

  • Ah, prank A scam?

  • Bioterrorism.

  • Tell us if this sounds familiar.

  • You go outside your house, look in your mailbox or down in your driveway, and there's a package of seeds just sitting there.

  • You're not alone.

  • These unsolicited seeds have been randomly popping up at homes in the U.

  • S, Canada and Ireland.

  • As of late, the Department of Agriculture Food and the Marine has advised against planting these seeds.

  • If you find yourself on the receiving end of suspicious seeds, don't handle them.

  • Don't dispose of or compost them and, most importantly, don't plant them.

  • Meanwhile, the United States Department of Agriculture and Canadian Food Inspection Agency chalk this up to a quote brushing scam.

  • The USDA also noted that the packages have been addressed from China Post.

  • But a rep from China's Foreign Ministry claims that these labels were forgeries.

  • The fear is they may grow into some sort of invasive species.

  • They're not trying to trace the origins of all the packages.

  • At this point, we wouldn't be surprised if pod people were behind this mystery.

  • Miles, Where do they come from?

  • I don't know if there are seeds or seedpods.

  • He must grow someplace on a plant.

  • Probably somebody or something wants this duplication to take place.

  • Number five.

  • Where in the world was Kim Jong?

  • Un?

  • People go missing every day, but for a North Korean dictator, toe vanished from the limelight for almost three weeks.

  • Well, it's unusual, to say the least.

  • That's what happened with Kim Jong Un in April.

  • However, this'll isn't the first time he's dropped from public view, disappearing for six weeks in 2014 and re emerging with a cane after apparently recovering from ankle surgery.

  • People first suspected something was wrong when Kim wasn't present to celebrate the birthday of his late grandfather, Kim Il Sung.

  • In his absence from the public, many called Kim's health into question especially since the Covad 19 pandemic was now in full swing.

  • Western intelligence in North Korea is so bad that we have no way to verify or to deny these rumors.

  • But we have no idea we can't Onley wait until the North Koreans themselves tell us whether Kim is alive or dead.

  • There's still no concrete evidence, however, confirming that Kim had the virus or that he was even unwell.

  • Satellite images later showed Kim Jong Un's train near his private resort on the country's east coast that did not prove or disprove Kim was there or even alive Onley.

  • Adding to the mystery, Kim eventually resurfaced for a ribbon cutting ceremony in May, but no explanation was given as to where the supreme leader had been for almost 20 days.

  • Number four Life on Venus Many have speculated about life on Mars, but life on Venus sounds especially far fetched.

  • Like it's the hottest planet in our solar system.

  • With a surface temperature that can reach more than 800 degrees Fahrenheit, Venus says what we call a runaway greenhouse effect.

  • Its atmosphere is 100 times the mass of Earth's and mostly carbon dioxide.

  • This trap so much heat that the service of Venus reaches a temperature hot enough to melt lead and with the pressure that would crush most submarines.

  • Then again, sometimes life finds a way.

  • In September, scientists discovered phosgene, a toxic gas in Venus's atmosphere.

  • Here is what Foss Fine looks like.

  • This is a computer generated image, usually on Earth.

  • This gas is associated, as we've just been hearing, with microbes living in oxygen poor environments like swamps or in the guts of animals on earth.

  • Phosgene is produced from microbial life.

  • While some believe that this could be evidence of either past or present life on Venus, subsequent studies have cast doubt on the idea.

  • Venus, the scientists tried to find another explanation for the fast, but had to rule all of them out.

  • Not a single process we looked at could produce frosting in high enough quantities to explain our team's findings of fostering in the Venus atmosphere.

  • In October, it was reported that re analyses of available data have failed to find traces of phosgene.

  • For now, we'll just have to keep watching the stars and the clouds.

  • Number three, The Missing star.

  • There are countless stars scattered throughout space, but some shine brighter than others.

  • One in a dwarf galaxy roughly 75 million light years away has been on our radar for almost 20 years.

  • This star stands out with a luminous blue glow and shines even brighter than our solar system's sun.

  • Then one day it was just gone.

  • First reported in 2020 astronomers are still pondering where this blue giant went.

  • Maybe it collapsed into a black hole, but that would usually result in a vibrant supernova.

  • If this was the case, it would be a first, according to Andrew Allen of Trinity College Dublin.

  • Other theories suggests the star lost.

  • Some of its mass or dust is obscuring the view.

  • Or maybe Galactus got to it.

  • But in all of space, I stand alone.

  • All right, Galactus that be all.

  • Kendall Number two Radio Signal from Space.

  • In 2007, the first fast radio burst, or FRB, was reported.

  • Another first occurred in 2019, when scientists managed to trace an FRB back to its original galaxy.

  • They used to be a one off there just be this burst and then you'd never see it again.

  • And so that made it even more mysterious.

  • Even after all these years, astronomers still don't know what exactly causes these signals, although they may be on the verge of a major breakthrough.

  • In February 2020 it was reported that one FRB repeated every 16.35 days, and those were the exciting ones because when they repeat, you can figure out where they are.

  • Where they are is half a billion light years away.

  • One researcher described this discovery as quote an important clue to the nature of this object.

  • Later in the year, astronomers dwindled down the list of possible FRB sources, which includes quote, compact object mergers and Magna tars arising from normal core collapse Supernovae research is ongoing, but until we know where these signals come from, we'll just have to keep listening.

  • But could it be a message from far away?

  • You can't rule it out.

  • I mean, I can categorically Well, then we can keep guessing.

  • And as they've said since the discovery of radio signals, stay tuned before we unveil our topic.

  • Here are some honorable mentions.

  • Leamer Abduction.

  • A Limmer went missing and was found the next day, four miles from the zoo seen here in a cage moments after he was captured on a Daily City preschool playground.

  • All of the kids were thrilled to see him up close.

  • He was first spotted by one of the kids in front of Chris Lee's car around five PM, apparently eating from a bush shake and boom in West Mobile.

  • Whatever caused the sudden shake, it wasn't an earthquake.

  • It was a sudden shape that lasted just moments, but it was enough for motion activated cameras to kick in.

  • How did murder Hornets get to the US?

  • Maybe they were accidentally shipped with imported goods, dubbed the Murder Hornet for its powerful sting in the way it decapitates its prey.

  • This is the first time the world's largest hornet has been seen in the U.

  • S.

  • In its native Asia.

  • Vespa Mandarin AEA is notorious nettle monoliths everywhere on art Collective has claimed credit, but we still like to believe it was aliens damage.

  • One of the crew members notices the monolith points toward a split in the canyon wall, perhaps suggesting the alignment might have some type of Stonehenge like significance.

  • It is just wild who killed Moscow's sausage king with a crossbow in a sauna no less.

  • Number one.

  • The Pentagon confirms UFO sighting.

  • My God, it's only fitting that the same year that Space six began transporting astronauts into space, the universe would get infinitely more mysterious.

  • The biggest mystery came out of the United States Department of Defense, which confirmed not just one, not just two, but three UFO sightings.

  • In April 2020 the Pentagon released three Navy videos featuring quote unidentified aerial phenomena.

  • The videos, known as Gimble, Go Fast and Fleer, were filmed between 2004 and 2015.

  • The Pentagon says that these videos are being released now to quote clear up any misconceptions after they were previously leaked, but that the objects remain unidentified.

  • Granted, this wasn't the first time these videos were exposed to the public as they were published online in late 20 ten's.

  • All of these videos have been leaked in the past, but the U.

  • S government now confirms they are genuine.

  • Regardless, the fact that the Pentagon has now officially declassified these videos on Lee further piques our interest.

  • While the secret may be out, we're still no closer to learning the truth.

  • Do you agree with our picks?

  • Check out this other recent clip from Watch Mojo and be sure to subscribe and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos, I think.
