  • Hello, everybody.

  • Chow, Tooty, banjo.

  • Grazie.

  • Whatever language you speak high.

  • My name is Georgia toupee and I'm your girl in Florence.

  • I started my blah girl in Florence in 2012, and it partly was because as an American girl originally from San Antonio, Texas, coming to Italy for the first time, I didn't know anybody.

  • I was no longer a student.

  • I wasn't married and and moving as an expat.

  • I was simply just kind of in between her in my twenties, trying to figure out life in Italy and all the intricacies of, uh, adjusting to a new culture.

  • And I just wanted I thought this was a great outlet to get to know people and also showcase what I loved about Florence in Italy in general.

  • So it's not every day that you're in the place of Tokyo at night, splendid ceiling of a sorry above you.

  • And when I think about travel, especially right now during such uncertain times, is that to me, travel has always meant it is always signified, an antidote to fear, You know, often we have perceptions about cultures or countries.

  • It's normal, maybe bias, that have been there since we were a little.

  • But the more we travel, the more we try to immerse ourselves, even if for a week or two or a month or however long we could be there.

  • We realized just how similar we are as people and getting to know you know, people from other countries and getting to immerse ourselves within their culture and having appreciation for that I really feel, makes us better humans.
