I was in shock.

I remember I tried to practice the day before and I just couldn't do it, and I was waiting for my results to get back, and I felt like I was gonna pass out.

I didn't know what to do.

My parents weren't here, and we're trying to decide which hospital to go to.

I didn't believe what I was being told, and I cried.

I just broke down.

When Andrew came here, he was in very bad shape.

He had fluid on his heart, he had severe lung infection and he was diagnosed with acute leukemia, which we know if it's not treated appropriately on the oil, it can be associated with the highlight of that.

E had a pneumonia called Legionnaire.

I couldn't breathe from the right side of my lungs.

It was filled with fluid, so I was operating on one loan for a long time.

I couldn't stand up on my own.

I couldn't do anything for myself.

They went on for two months when I was at Indiana's, and they drained two liters of fluid from my lungs just for me to be able to breathe on my own again.

That was the first time I could take a deep breath without tubes in my mouth.

The person who motivated Andrew through those hard days was his father, David Jones.

In 2007, David was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident, used his own experience to push his son to get better.

He didn't want me Thio get certain ways like he was because he wishes he could do things on his own.

Certain thing I get lazy out of my mind.

E had a little complication that set me back to ICU for a few weeks.

And I wasn't really doing what I was supposed to be doing.

Sitting up for most of the day is not laying down.

Either You wanna sit up in the chair and do what you're told and be active or things won't get better.

And that kind of hit me his blood drawn before I go to see my doctor.

Basketball has been one thing that brought my parents and my family together, and I didn't wanna lose it.

And I can protect the ball better with my left hand.

So I was like, When I shoot the ball, I'm able toe actually get a fluent shot in without it hurting and pulling.

So it seems like they care more, but they don't understand.

I know my body.

Some days my body will be drained.

Sometimes I won't feel like doing anything.

But I kind of tricked myself in tow, going anyway, working out anyway because the days I don't feel like doing anything is the days I should really be in there the most.

306 days after his leukemia diagnosis, Andrew was back on the court with his team to open 2018 season chances.
