  • So, you know, that was my text.

  • Are you coming or not?

  • On And then on the on the first part the, uh, getting smarter.

  • You guys didn't get harder?

  • Yeah, just just faras basketball I Q.

  • You know what I mean?

  • Just just knowing, uh, you know, when Thio, you know, throw the ball in the post or get a three are just talking or are you know, it's a lot of basketball situations knowing shot clock, game clock.

  • Um, what certain plays Aaron in a certain time?

  • Just just just everything Pretty much it will move over to Ross.

  • Hey, Cho.

  • Why?

  • What's up?

  • Is Roz great to see you.

  • What's up?

  • Obviously, there's a lot of discussion about team chemistry and that, you know, there wasn't really enough when it mattered most of what adjustment will you take personally yourself, if any at all, to make a team chemistry even stronger this season?

  • Mhm.

  • Oh, just pretty much just just, you know?

  • Yeah, it's the same thing.

  • You know?

  • What is?

  • Last year it was kind of different.

  • Team chemistry builds from day one.

  • You know what I mean?

  • Uh, coming in, Can I was coming.

  • Had a procedure done.

  • PG heart procedure.

  • Done.

  • Uh, some of the other guys were getting out in the training camp, so we didn't play Well, just, you know, uh, PG didn't play.

  • Uh, probably any of the preseason.

  • Probably one or two.

  • I'm not sure, but way wasn't in training camp in.

  • And I think this year, just us being able to start training camp, able to practice and go full speed with the gods since day one, I think that would just build upto a better.

  • You know, chemistry.

  • Eso guys.

  • Aaron either falling in line in the middle of the season.

  • Our first game, You know what I mean?

  • We all are here together now.

  • Anything off the court that you feel like a This is my job as the leader of this team, E.

  • I mean, obviously, just gotta make sure, you know, same selfie day large.

  • We're just trying to, you know, go to some team dinners.

  • Uh, you know, try to gather with one another, you know, enjoy something together rather than basketball.

  • But, you know, with the co bit and everything going on, it will be harder this year to do that.

  • But, you know, we could find are ways to play games are, you know, just talking conversation.

  • Well, we're gonna move over to Andrew, right?

  • It quite welcome back.

  • You know, when When ty was hired.

  • Balmer said that one of the things he liked about him was that he has a track record of holding guys accountable.

  • And when you look back at last year kind of review, are there areas on that theme where you feel like you guys and yourself particularly?

  • You guys could have done a better job, Um, fostering better accountability within the team.

  • And have you guys as a team this year discussed about ways to do that better?

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, you know, tie.

  • It's a different start with Tide, but, uh, I just think last year, like with with what happened with, Like I said, it was a lot for us.

  • Uh, I mean, obviously way should have one.

  • We could have one.

  • It's a lot of a lot of that in your mind, but I mean, just looking at it from my perspective, obviously, we should all play better.

  • Coach.

  • Better get all that.

  • But, um like I was saying, um, with everybody just being here, I just feel like last year Way wasn't able to start the season.

  • Then we came into a pause with the cove it and then we get to the bubble And then guys, uh, you know, have family issues.

  • Um, you know what I mean.

  • They're outside for longer.

  • A longer period of time.

  • Coming back in.

  • We had three guys on our team with Kobe, so it was another training camp starting a bubble.

  • We missing three players, you know what I mean?

  • So I just I just think all that had, uh, you know, playing in tow, you know, accountability and chemistry.

  • I think that offered a big role.

  • That's quite well move over to own.

  • Hey, quiet.

  • Great seeing and welcome back.

  • This is the shortest offseason anybody has had to deal with.

  • I was wondering how how did you spend your off season?

  • Um, compared to other off seasons And how?

  • How you feeling physically and going into this season?

  • How motivate are you?

  • Like, how much does that Game seven still kind of stick with you three.

  • Game seven doesn't stick with me at all.

  • You know what I mean?

  • We had chances to win before that game seven.

  • So it just for me it is about like this.

  • You're not giving any steps.

  • Uh, you know, I'm definitely motivated.

  • Wanna win the difference of this offseason is It's It's a quick turnaround.

  • You know what I mean?

  • Eso, rather than other offseason, is taking more time off.

  • Your I'm doing stuff to, you know, maintain my body to stay had occurred during that time.

  • And physically, I feel dead.

  • I'm motivated.

  • I'm going to start.

  • I want to get back out there.

  • Uh, you know, uh, it does leave a bad taste in my mouth blowing a 31 lead.

  • But you know I love you.

  • You know, these things that build, build the player.

  • Uh, it's the things that I like the challenge.

  • Uh, you know, the world of going to a championship is hard, and I love the process I love.

  • I'm enjoying the process still, and yeah, we'll see.

  • We'll see how strong we are And see if we could build from things like this is what makes players It will move over to Miriam.

  • Yeah, and their cry Welcome back.

  • Um, just kind of wondering what your thoughts are on the the off season that the team had as faras the addition Surge included, but the other guys, too, and maybe losing Michael and trust.

  • All right?

  • Like, are you Are you happy with those additions?

  • Do you think they'll, you know, fill any holes you guys had or What's your evaluation?

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, definitely They're gonna help.

  • You know, we brought in some good timing, some good event research to him.

  • And, you know, we brought something some guys back from last year pretty much know what we wanna do.

  • Uh, you know what I mean?

  • But, Sergeant, great for us.

  • Uh, got room protective.

  • He's being in a big moments before you could shoot the ball and the tone.

  • Just a good, very skilled shoot.

  • Past trouble being in big moments.

  • Competed against him in the playoffs a few times.

  • I think they could help.

  • Okay, we're gonna move over to Charlie it Quiet.

  • Um, what's your relationship like with Ty?

  • What did you learn about him working with him last year?

  • And what do you think makes him the right fit for this team going forward?

  • Uh, just for the right fit, I guess.

  • Uh, you know what?

  • Let go.

  • You know, Tie was here last year, so it's a familiar face from their voice.

  • My first time meeting them was actually that they started the season last year.

  • But what I learned from him are what he likes to dio.

  • I mean, obviously no.

  • One importance is that he wants to win.

  • He's a competitive ER and, you know, he's very, uh, he's detail.

  • Uh, you know, he just wants to win, But, I mean, it's hard to see what he's like right now with the head coach.

  • Obviously, it's our second day were only able toe.

  • I'm only able to practice with four other players on my team, so I learned more from him down the road.

  • But just from what I know now, and he's detailed, uh, he's a competitive er, and you know that that's that's That's pretty much it.

  • You smart, obviously.

  • A good bounce for like you.

  • He's been there before.

  • Uh, and yeah, I'm looking forward to it.

  • They grow with him.

  • Okay, we're gonna move over to Beth hairs.

  • Cool idea.

  • Uh, the bubble in Florida was, you know, pretty much a success.

  • Now.

  • You don't have that.

  • Um, when you look around, what's going on at the NFL, college football and basketball.

  • What's your level of confidence that the n b.

  • A.

  • Is gonna be able to pull this off and and also mentally, are you sort of preparing for maybe a lot of stops and starts?

  • Um, mentally?

  • No, I'm not preparing for that, but, you know, my mind said it just on each day.

  • You know what I mean?

  • Just trying to be better the next day.

  • If there is establish.

  • You know what I mean?

  • It'll be better.

  • We'll take it better because we've been doing before already.

  • Uh, what does if you ask me?

  • Oh, just what your level of confidence is that the, you know, pull off a season under these concerns?

  • I mean, I think it will get done.

  • E don't know what we the NFL is in right now.

  • Obviously, we played more games and travel more, but I feel like if they're able Thio, get Thio.

  • What?

  • 12, We 13 week have confidence in the NBA, you know, getting through this season, we're taking the right protocol.

  • Us.

  • Like I said, we're only able to practice with I'm only able to practice for other players right now.

  • Begin testing still every day.

  • Um, just on the onus of us just making sure that you know these players being careful as we could be.

  • You know, obviously, even if you do stay home and do the right procedures, you could get the virus, but, uh, yeah, I think we're being smart.

  • We're still taking a red protocols.

  • We'll finish this season.

  • Do it.

  • Okay.

  • And then we're gonna end on Cameron Beaufort.

  • Hey, Kawai.

  • Welcome back, man.

  • Happy new year of sorts.

  • Um, I gotta kind of a two part question I wanna ask you about motivation tied, mentioned the other day.

  • Motivation should come from the players.

  • Not necessarily the coach.

  • So I want your comment on that.

  • And then leadership leadership for this team moving forward.

  • How do you plan on changing your leadership style if at all?

  • The motivation definitely comes in within a player.

  • Coach can't put a battery in your back until you play harder going games.

  • You know that mindset?

  • You have the training body, you know, for this season, games Thio play.

  • Well, you know what I mean.

  • You know, at least play at the level that you wanna play.

  • Uh, but my leadership role is not gonna change.

  • I'm gonna keep doing the same thing I've been doing.
