The imperative

Oh, way are Everyone here is so, so excited that you're doing the program.

I know you get embarrassed with that kind of praise.

A zoo should be big show on very late at night.

But, you know, it's funny, because I've always I've always been a fan since day one, and you've always always done these amazing great bits on talk shows, late night talk shows.

I mean, amazing bits that are just there in the museum of bits that a comedian could do classic shows, classics.

You went on Johnny Carson and you did stand up for dogs.

You did Steve's Stephen Dave's gay vacation.

And they're all I mean, they're all so good.

Well, I'll tell you it is It's really fun to do those shows because, you know, they're so funny.

Their comedy shows and, uh, you know, you go out and and Dave creates an atmosphere of humor, and you just feel so funny and you feel so much funnier.

And then, uh, of course, when I when I think of your show, I think of books You don't need to know When they asked me, You know what, what show do you want to promote your book on?

Yeah, I said, Well, they said, Do you want to do like, a comedy show?

I want to do a show that when I look at, I think of books.

So So I guess I'll just tell you a little bit about my book about your book shop shop girl right now.

You see, when I wrote the book I wanted, I was very concerned about the point of view of the narrator.

I didn't know if I wanted a nom Nisshin narrator or a personal narrator.

Now, the book was written in the past tense, and the past tense creates a paradox of the Amish int.

Narrator Because what you have is a situation.

Do you understand what I'm Yeah, I I'm I'm sorry.

I mean, I I love the book has gotten a critical praise.

I just kind of thought that coming on this show, you plan a little something funny.

You know, I just thought that you would with what you thought you thought.

I didn't get the memo on what Conan thought.

So I'm just thinking of something I'm gonna do on the Letterman show.

The paradox of the omniscient narrator uh huh is active.

Oh, that's the bit I'm gonna do on Letterman.

They came to the wrong studio the wrong time.

So that's I mean, that looks pretty cool.

That's only the beginning of what I'm gonna do on Letterman.

That's just nothing compared to what I'm going to dio.

I mean, you didn't plan anything, then you don't know, actually, for this show?
