  • guys.

  • I can't find a baked potato anywhere in this entire country.

  • Where can I get a big potato?

  • I want to say thank you to Grubhub for not only sponsoring today's video, but forgetting my little quarantine heart.

  • The baked potato.

  • I just got out of a 14 day quarantine, fully isolated and wow.

  • Did I learn a lot?

  • You don't have to be.

  • Oh, mostly that I now understand why solitary confinement is a full on punishment, but she's free.

  • She's fabulous.

  • And she's ready to snack.

  • Hi.

  • Hi.

  • Seven pints of ice cream.

  • Thank God.

  • Well, looks like a party in there.

  • You celebrated?

  • No, actually, I'm alone.

  • Would you wanna go hang out with me, baby?

  • Oh, no, I ever I've got a lot of food to deliver.

  • Still so much, so much food by.

  • I ordered all this ice cream because dating in the pandemic is hard.

  • You know what it's like every single time You message someone you have to ask yourself.

  • Am I willing to contract a deadly disease and die for this cute person?

  • I don't know.

  • That's a lot of pressure.

  • My God, girl.

  • I could since you were in a big, sad girl.

  • I see you got cookie dough delivered.

  • What's wrong?

  • E got dumped.

  • Oh, wait.

  • You were seeing someone?

  • Yeah.

  • I mean, like like, yeah, we were, like, talking to each other and stuff.

  • Oh, okay.

  • Like, how long were you talking?

  • You know, like, yeah, we sent, like, emotional on vulnerable and connecting messages back and forth, like, twice.

  • So, you know Oh, but you didn't meet up in person know that we were gonna eventually, you know, Melissa, we had so much in common.

  • Okay, We both we like music, and we were like, Oh, I love watching movies.

  • And we both love food so much we agreed we would probably die without it.

  • OK, so like, we were basically soulmates.

  • Yeah, it sounds like it.

  • You know what?

  • You guys, I have a lot to do.

  • I have a lot to dio.

  • Yeah, I'm supposed thio start eating all this ice cream in five minutes and I got to do that until I stop hating myself, or I just hate myself more so I should go.

  • I'm exaggerating for comedic effect.

  • We dated for several months.

  • And why does it hurt so much when someone you weren't even in a relationship with breaks up with you.

  • Well, I consulted the 114 million Google search results and my therapist so that you don't have Thio.

  • And first off, this is very validating.

  • Your feelings are riel.

  • They are valid.

  • You had a connection with someone and therefore you had hope.

  • And I think this is why it sucks so bad Hope, Because when these many relationships and all we're left with is this fantasy of what could have been When you're in a long term relationship with someone, you know why you're no longer suited for each other.

  • Honestly, I don't know how we made it two years into this relationship without we ever realizing you don't like baked potatoes, but that is that is a deal breaker for me.

  • Are you serious?

  • Potatoes are versatile.

  • Baked, mashed, Gratton, hash.

  • I mean, the list goes on and on.

  • If you do not like a vegetable, that is this multifaceted.

  • Then there is something deeply, deeply wrong with you in an almost relationship.

  • We don't get that kind of closure.

  • We just have the fantasy version in our heads of what it could have been and any fantasy is gonna be infinitely better than whatever the realistic relationship would have looked like.

  • This is why it hurts so bad.

  • We're mourning an ideal IQ dream version of us.

  • Not to mention the pain of rejection, the daunting task of having to find new connection, the reemergence of loneliness and any self esteem issues this rupture may have caused.

  • So how do you mourn a relationship you never had?

  • Well, what we're really morning is the dream, the dream that that person represented.

  • It's not about them.

  • It's about you.

  • So remember, even though that person is no longer part of the equation, the dream is still alive.

  • And you know, I say this, but I am also still very sad about it.

  • Which is why I'm gonna go eat six pints of ice cream.

  • And in the words of a great profit, Thank you.

  • Next.

  • Thank you again to grab Hub for sponsoring today's video.
