  • The person in charge of what goes on inside Room 39 is none other.

  • Then Kim Yo Jong, That's right.

  • The supreme leader's sister is in charge of the secrets contained within Room 39.

  • Apparently, what happens in this room is so important that control of it must be kept within the family when her brother dies.

  • Kim Yo Jong may take over the throne, but as of right now, her role in the family business is to make sure things in Room 39 go smoothly and stay confidential.

  • The money and information coming out of Room 39 puts Kim Yo Jong and an important position of power if there's ever a change in leadership of North Korea.

  • But what could be happening in Room 39?

  • Are there people being tortured drugs being created?

  • Weapons being tested are alien bodies from the North Korean Roswell crash kept their the office that would become known as room 39 was started in the seventies by North Korea, founding father Kim Il Sung.

  • Its first function was to ensure that the royal family always had money to finance their needs and desires, no matter how luxurious.

  • We know that Kim Jong Il continued to use whatever was happening in Room 39 to reward himself and those loyal to him with lavish gifts.

  • It's reported that the money coming out of Room 39 has been utilized to buy luxury cars, expensive bottles of cognac and many other costly gifts for supporters.

  • Like many things in North Korea, people suffer because of it, and many aspects of what Room 39 does our legal.

  • Let's first start with the legal operations that air part of Room 39.

  • North Korea Royalty spends a lot of money Kim Jong Eun spoils himself with expensive jewelry, cars and even basketball stadiums.

  • Toe watch, his favorite sport being played.

  • All the money to buy these things has to come from somewhere.

  • Yes, some of it comes from the labor forced on North Korea citizens, but most of the money comes from Room 39.

  • We know that overseas investments, trades and precious metals and foreign currency earnings air all controlled by room 39 North Korea has relationships with How do we put this politely, some not so nice people.

  • They range from terrorist organizations to dictators that, like Kim Jong Eun, have a stranglehold on their country while their citizens suffer.

  • These friendships result in trade deals and investments and companies around the world.

  • The United Nations has put several sanctions on North Korea and has denounced anyone doing business with the country.

  • But let's be honest.

  • Bad people will be bad people, and the United Nations does not have the power to stop them.

  • So Room 39 continues to bring in money from their dealings abroad.

  • Since the North Korean government controls all companies and manufacturing in the country.

  • Room 39 is in charge of around 120 different legitimate companies.

  • Investment firms like Zack Wang Trading and Tyson Bank are both controlled by the secret office.

  • They also control the textile production companies.

  • And although creating clothing itself is not illegal, the operators of Room 39 take it a step further.

  • Each year, North Korea produces textiles that are exported with phony made in China.

  • Labels buying products from North Korea is restricted by the United States and all other United Nations countries.

  • However, buying from China is not so.

  • Room 39 is in charge of overseeing that.

  • Textiles with phony labels make it to international markets.

  • The profits from the sales of the Forge Textiles then goes directly back to Room 39 where it could be distributed.

  • As the royal family sees fit.

  • I'm sure you're not surprised that the money never makes it back to the workers who produced the textiles in the first place.

  • Now let's take a look at Room 39 more lucrative operations.

  • These air all illegal but bring huge amounts of money into North Korea.

  • You won't believe what length room 39 will go to to ensure that their supreme leader in the royal family are all well taken care of.

  • One scheme that suspected to have come out of Room 39 was the production of Super Notes.

  • These were counterfeit.

  • United States $100 bills.

  • It's been suggested that Room 39 created one of the world's most accurate forgeries of U.

  • S currency.

  • If they were created by Room 39 the super notes could have brought massive amounts of riel money into North Korea.

  • These forgeries were continually created until the United States began heavily cracking down on the counterfeit bills.

  • Another lucrative but illegal trade that comes out of Room 39 is the sales of weapons.

  • Again, it probably comes as no surprise to you that the weapons were being sold to terrorist organizations and other dictators.

  • The workers of Room 39 do not discriminate when selling illegally to bring in money for their ruler.

  • In 2013 ammunition and missile parts were confiscated in Panama.

  • The impounded weapons were then linked back to Chungchong Gang shipping.

  • A suspected front for Room 39 North Korea's Secret Room reaches out to all parts of the world.

  • The fact that they're able to operate as faras the Americas would suggest that what happens in Room 39 may become a global issue.

  • Even though Room 39 continues to trade in illegal goods and set up fronts around the world, they're continuing to evolve.

  • It takes a lot of resource is to smuggle weapons and drugs across the planet.

  • It also takes time and resource is to create forgeries that eventually are identified.

  • So Room 39 has been branching out into new ways to secure money for the royal family and their friends.

  • They've transitioned into the world of cybercrime, and they're really good at it.

  • Room 39 may contain some of the best hackers on the planet.

  • You won't believe what they've already accomplished.

  • In 2016 North Korean hackers infiltrated the New York Federal Reserve.

  • They hacked into the system and would have stolen over $1 billion except for a spelling error gave them away.

  • As the hackers tried to steal money from the account for the Bangladesh Central Bank, they misspelled foundation as foundation.

  • This raised red flags, and the transaction was stopped moments before the hackers from Room 39 stole over a billion dollars from the account.

  • Although this small mistake saved the New York Federal Reserve from losing billions of dollars, it did not stop the hackers completely.

  • They still got away with around $81 million before they were locked out of the system.

  • The fact that North Korean hackers were able to get us faras they did, even if they were stopped part way through is nerve racking.

  • Also, who's to say that this is the first or last time they hacked into the system?

  • The thing with cybercrime is that if done right, no one will ever figure out anything was stolen.

  • Room 39 may have stolen money from countries around the world through their hackers, and we will never know.

  • We do know one thing for sure.

  • They were able to steal millions of dollars from the United States through cyber hacking.

  • The hackers in Room 39 are not just involved in stealing from federal reserves and banks.

  • They're also responsible for ransomware attacks.

  • In May of 2016, Room 39 launched its biggest cyber operation yet they used Ransomware to bring down hundreds of thousands of computers around the world.

  • This cyberattack crippled Britain's National Health Service is causing chaos until it could be repaired.

  • It was sheer luck that a 22 year old British hacker was able to defuse the virus and restore control to his country.

  • Room 39 has also launched cyberattacks to steal Intel.

  • They've hacked South Korea's military computer network and stolen war plans.

  • The hackers have infiltrated computer systems around the world and may have access to classified documents in other countries as well.

  • Room 39 could be selling this information to generate more revenue to support Kim Jong Eun in his military escapades, the relatively new hacking operation of Room 39 maybe their most lucrative secret operation.

  • Yet everything that we've discussed are known operations to have come out of Room 39 but there could be others.

  • We know that Kim Jong Eun will go to extreme lengths to make himself look powerful.

  • We also know his gluttony knows no end, even if the people in this country are suffering.

  • It comes as no surprise that the office that's in charge of making sure the royal family always has a steady cash flow is as evil as the ruling regime itself.

  • Room 39 is estimated to bring in between 500 million and $2 billion a year for North Korea.

  • Ah, lot of this money comes from illegal operations such as insurance fraud and selling drugs.

  • But it would seem the most lucrative aspect of Room 39 is its cyber division.

  • It's scary to think of what else might be happening inside of North Korea's Secret Room 39.

  • Now check out regular things that are illegal in North Korea or what it's really like living in North Korea.

  • It's all it's crazy is what we uncovered in Room 39.
