  • Tim Tebow was often unconventional, his jump passes, his running style, his genuine humility.

  • But in 2000 and seven, and particularly on one incredible November night, the Florida quarterback was simply undeniable, and it turned him into a legend.

  • Has Tebow did not win the starting job in his freshman season, but he was instrumental in the Gators natty showing in 2000 and six.

  • Tebow secured the starting spot, and people were hungry to see what the Gators would cook up.

  • He accounted for multiple touchdowns in every single game that season.

  • He also racked up at least five touchdowns on five different occasions.

  • Tebow finished that season with over 3000 passing yards over 800 rushing yards and 51 total.

  • Tebow flushed again.

  • He was dominant.

  • There had to be guys that were running on Tim's heels, right?

  • Well, Tebow pulled up to the party with 462.

  • 1st place Heisman votes.

  • Arkansas running back Darren McFadden was closest behind him with 291 and he was legit.

  • After five straight 120 yard performances to start the season, people thought he was a lock for the Heisman.

  • Run DMC is one of the most decorated running backs in college football history, and he has a handsome list of awards to show for it.

  • He's a two time Doak Walker Award winner, Walter Camp Award winner, and unfortunately for him, he's also a two time Heisman runner up Colt.

  • Daniel finished 3rd and 4th on the ballot.

  • Brennan through for 38 touchdowns for Hawaii and Daniel Toss, 33 in his junior year at Brazil.

  • Yes, a trip to Columbia, South Carolina and Week 10 presented a chance for the kid to get his mojo back.

  • Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks were by no means expected to be a challenge for the 15th ranked Gators, even without wide receiver Percy Harvin available to catch falls from the Heisman candidate.

  • However, the way Tebow ran through the cockpit that night should be considered disrespectful.

  • South Carolina was up 14 13 in the first quarter, and then it was Tebow time.

  • He was 22 for 32 for a career best 304 yards in the air, and he ran for 120 yards on 26 carries.

  • Tim literally ran through the Gamecocks, 51 to 31.

  • After that, the Heisman was virtually a lock, and tha bows legacy was set in stone.

  • Tebow on the field performances seemed somewhat supernatural, but you couldn't have imagined that him being on the football field was an actual miracle.

  • I was pregnant with Timmy in the Philippines and I had had Amoeba, which is quite serious.

  • It's the leading cause of death in the Philippines, and I was very dehydrated.

  • Very sick way.

  • Thought we'd lost the baby about four times.

  • He's a miracle, baby.

  • And so we have reminded him that hundreds of times.

  • I hate to be incredibly cliche, but if Faith family football were a human being, it would definitely be this guy.

  • His on the field demeanor seemed to be a stark contrast from who he was off of the field, but that didn't make him a contradiction.

  • First, start off by thanking My Lord and savior Jesus Christ, who gave me the ability to play football and give me a great family and a support group in great coaches and everything around me.

  • Tim Tebow became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy, and true to character, he gave the credit to people and forces outside of himself.

  • I'd like to thank my teammates back at home.

  • If a one for them, I wouldn't be here, and I'm accepting his trophy on behalf of them because, you know, we think about it as a team award.

  • He also really loved being a Florida Gator.

  • He sought mostly to make his fans, his teammates and his coaches proud.

  • Tim Tebow wore the blue and orange with so much pride and humility that his dominant performances didn't even seem to define who he waas.

  • It seemed instead, toe highlight that what he was playing for was even bigger than himself.

  • I promise you one thing.

  • A lot of good will come out of this.

  • You will never seen any player in the entire country plays hard as I will play the rest of the season, and you never see someone push the rest of team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season, you never see a team play harder.
