  • How about the guy who put the green jacket on to Dustin Johnson?

  • Okay.

  • My biggest fear happened when it came to Tiger Woods.

  • After what we saw him do on Thursday.

  • What did?

  • I don't have this off off hand.

  • So forgive me for not being It's cool.

  • A one a podcast host here.

  • Where did he finish Tiger?

  • On the leader board on the leader board.

  • I know.

  • He finished it.

  • Tie for 38.

  • 39.

  • Okay, Because if you listen to Maddie and a caddy on Wednesday, what did we both say?

  • That if he finished inside the top 20 it would be it would be awesome.

  • We had him around top way.

  • Weren't gonna be surprised when he showed up and played well.

  • Which he did on Thursday.

  • Recorded his lowest round ever.

  • A first round ever at Augusta bogey free first time.

  • But look, the only thing I'm surprised about with Tiger the Onley thing that surprises me is that he had an absolute tire fire 12 on Sunday.

  • Why does that?

  • Because he's to experience for that.

  • Because last year, when he won the green jacket, he knew damn well you can't go right of that bunker.

  • Here's the deal.

  • We knew that on Saturday he got up a 3 45 in the morning and played 26 holes and ran out of gas and had a stroke back fatigue set in which we knew it would.

  • So guess what?

  • This dude had to get up early again.

  • He had to get up early again on Sunday.

  • Why?

  • Because tee times started at 9 39 9 30 earlier.

  • What they like seven.

  • Something the leaders went off at that time and the last still earlier than what you're So you're talking about a guy who had to come into Sunday on another very small amount of sleep, so that kind of sleep means no recovery.

  • But then he tickled your golf loins with five birdies.

  • You know what?

  • That's what Tiger did when you play when you don't Rory McIlroy too.

  • But Tiger, listen, If he doesn't make a 10 at 12, there's no way he both he makes birdie on five out of last because no, we're in agreement there because first of all, he said after his round that he he read the wrong wind.

  • Okay, so he grabbed hey, grabbed an eight iron, said that he hit and judge the wrong wind.

  • So he did the cardinal sin on 12 on Sunday, which is go right of the bunker and that goes with eight iron.

  • It's gonna spin.

  • So that goes in short, spins back.

  • Here's the one I understand when you drop, you know, You know what?

  • The wedge You have to throw it past the hole that landed short of whole high.

  • So it wasn't dead armed.

  • And that spun back in the water.

  • Podcast listeners for watching video of it is we do this video podcast, which is why we drop again, hit it in the back bunker, Give yourself a weird stance.

  • Instead of just going, I play out sideways into the grass.

  • Nana, uh, let me play this one over into the water to I gotta drop that one.

  • So if you're another drop in the bunker, if you're doing the math so he hits one in the water, he's dropping two hits.

  • Three hits, three in the water has to drop.

  • Four.

  • Hit five in the back of the bunker, six blades over the green, back into the water, up seven hits eight out of the bunker, just flubbing up there to put.

  • That's a 10.

  • Thanks for coming out.

  • He went into 18 at one under, Walked to I'm sorry.

  • Walked you went to 12 at one under.

  • Walked to 13, 4 over.

  • That is insane.

  • Now you're right.

  • He wouldn't have birdied five of the last six.

  • I think we We agree he would have birdied 13.

  • He would have birdied 15, probably.

  • And then maybe No way where that pin was on 16.

  • No way.

  • He birdied 16.

  • Because that is not the Sunday pin.

  • Like the fact that he fired it up there at that pen.

  • I mean, it was just, you know, in his career, he'd never had a 10 ever on any course in his career.

  • You know what the odds were?

  • It was saw that plus 1500 that is.

  • Ah, 100.

  • You're the gambling guy.

  • What does that mean?

  • That means if you would've been a dollar, you would have 150 bucks.

  • Well, that's not That's a stupid bet.

  • That Tiger makes it 10.

  • It makes it a 400 prop.

  • Bet was out there.

  • If you bet 10 bucks brought you walking home with some cash?

  • Well, Tiger, saying like that would have made you some serious money.

  • But I mean, that being said, who's gonna bet that Tiger is gonna make a 10 or worse on the whole, especially at a guess.

  • You know what?

  • We could get those numbers, but I'm a better dollar on it in 150.

  • Don't you know me with Tiger Now?

  • I don't put any stock in tow anything he's doing this year.

  • Okay, So that being said, now that we're pretty much Tiger finished, since there's no hero this year, we're done with the Tiger Woods 2020.

  • He's gonna be able to, in theory, as long as everything stays okay and healthy with him.

  • In theory, Tiger is going to be able to control and set up for the next Masters, which we hope is in April.

  • Yes, be April 8th 2021.

  • He should be able to do his normal routine going into that masters, we believe, right?

  • So if he's able to do that, what are your expectations for him, then?

  • If you're telling, are you telling me there's gonna be a regular golf calendar next year?

  • Yes, we already know that everything is in that case, my expectations for him at Augusta.

  • It's normal golf calendar.

  • Based on what I saw out of him this week, which I equate to him is a four day competitive practice round at Augusta National.

  • I'd expected to top 10 it.

  • I again go back to one thing, and even he talked about it because off when that temperature changed on Saturday and stayed cool on Sunday, that's when he had problems with his back Top 10 it.

  • And in April this past April was cooler than we had here in November.

  • That's fine, but it's not fine for his back.

  • That's what I'm saying.

  • I'm sorry.

  • Did he just win one in April?

  • That was last year.

  • Last year was different than this year.

  • I don't that this dude turns 45 years old in December.

  • You know it's driving me nuts about the Tiger conversation that goes in and around the media is the lack of awareness of realistic expectations because with Tiger, for some reason, people either go always done or oh, he could win again.

  • He's gonna win.

  • There's never any years, never but you and I have tried to stay like do this.

  • We do the whole Twitter emoji shoulder shrug like, What do you think of Tiger?

  • It'll just be.

  • Here's why.

  • There are so many factors that go into what Tiger is going to be able to do on the golf course.

  • Now that's the thing.

  • It's not like Hey, Tigers hitting it.

  • Great.

  • So we should expect great things.

  • No, you gotta be like tigers hitting it.

  • Great.

  • What time does et off?

  • What's the temperature gonna be?

  • We throw.

  • Did he get the night?

  • But we throw the scorecard up again.

  • Eight.

  • Early, early, late like Sunday.

  • That Z this is the thing about Tiger Woods is that when it comes to Tiger, there are so many outside factors that were never there before so catty Sunday at the Masters.

  • He had 12345 birdies, three bogeys in the 10 66 birdies because he did birdie the 2nd 34566 birdies on Sunday at the Masters.

  • Alright, so based on the state of his game coming in, I don't think anybody had way certainly didn't have other world expectations for him that thing.

  • This dude could still go out and roll in six birdies Sunday at the Masters.

  • When it doesn't matter if they're not in contention, he shot 68 on Thursday.

  • We'll see.

  • This is the thing.

  • This is what was.

  • That's what was more impressive than anything else, how Tiger came into this Masters and then what he did for that first.

  • There you go.

  • So that is my point with him.

  • It, regardless of the state of his game, which by all accounts was not good coming into this one.

  • If you give me a Tiger calendar where he can get his game into shape, he's good.

  • When his games out of shape, imagine if he's in shape.

  • Here's the problem with saying that the problem was saying that is if his games in shape and he asked to play late early.

  • So he plays late on Thursday, early on Friday and that Thursday, when he plays late, the temperatures in the low fifties high forties.

  • Then all that's off the get out of your Doppler radar head.

  • I'm not trying to listen.

  • You know how some people I got tricked me and my trick knee and tell you what's gonna happen.

  • Tiger got a trick back, okay?

  • Tiger got a trick bag and his You know why?

  • Because the weather dictates what?

  • Someone?

  • A 45 year old with four back surgery.

  • I get weather dictates what they could act like.

  • The Masters is pebble beans.

  • Just quiet With the weather in Augusta, it's the South, you know?

  • Yeah.

  • Okay, April and Augusta is always 75 degrees.

  • Do you not remember what the temperature was like when Zach Johnson one.

  • How many years ago was that?

  • Global warming?

  • It's all catching up.
